Can't compare your Variant ...But on my 308 ar the soft point 180gr projos get carved up by the feed ramps. Dings and nicks in the projos also. There are NO scratches in the brass. I did a test a couple years ago with plastic tipped bullets. The results were very good and I would requimend using those types of bullets ! JMHO used every brand except Barnes. Red , White , Green , Yellow ,Zombie Green.

Gray is also a very good primer coat. Clear coat hardener is also an option ! It will make it harder than nails !

Saw this on Monday. Sad situation ! A series of bad calls starting with the parents thinking this would be a cool/fun thing to do. Most beginners start with 22 caliber hand guns or bolt action rifles not FA weapons. Second the Instructor. Should have started with 1rd then 3 rds the more. Third was the instructors position not behind her. This was his own fault, Darwin wins again. I feel sorry for the girl ! But the parents are responsible too.

But this is want they end up riding on because that one broke !

We could call it Smoked Dead Fernal Pig BBQ. And park that stinky cart in Tucson on the sidewalk in front of their Mosque during their services. JON and Blue could provied armed security. I could BBQ, Shibi could make Mo-shoe Pork and Tom could sell the stuff like Cheech did in the movie "Dawn to Dusk". Just Sayin'

Just checked the label on the box is said SMK180gr BT 48.o gr H414 w/ win wlr in 308win. Hit steel twice , three bottles and 6 or 7 on the left target. And I was standing up and shooting like a man ! Not that Bipod SH!T with that heavy A$$ 24" bull barrel upper. So accurate enough !

Shot 2 mags of H414 today with 168BtHp and 62.0gr.Smooth shooting low recoil. Tom liked it . He can comment.

Shot some 9mm 115gr JHP with 6.4gr of HS=6. Would not cycle in the AR but was quiet out of the Kahr handgun.

Feel for you brother. My GF is recovering from a broken leg with 2 screws and 2 bolts installed , she just started walking again a couple weeks ago.

Shibi shot both 300wsm's , one shot with the AR and he was done with that beast. But he liked the Win 70. He also got the 9mm ar to go Pew,Pew,Pew ! I was jambing the 9mm ar with the Slide fire stock installed on 3 mags. I couldnt get it to cycle more than a couple of rounds at a time. Couldn't figure it out and w're sitting and talking and I blurted out " its subsonic ammo ". We all got a laugh at that. Ran some supersonic ammo and it cycled just fine. Now I need to make so 124gr 9mm ammo.
