  1. Tom have you had a chance to shoot it yet, if so how was it. I am kinda eyeing one of these I own 2 Springfield Armory 1911's 1 champion operator that I carry off duty and full rail TRP Operator. I also own a G-19 but it sits in the safe because my wife shoots it on occasion. I am looking for something a little smaller without paying a crap load for a Springfield Armory EMP or the likes. Of course it will have to wait until after I get my rifle paid off, priorities lol
  2. I'm drooling......... I cant pick mine up for another couple of weeks waiting on the tax man, thank goodness for layaway at my local gun store lol. I have all the replacement parts for my Super Sass now. I transferred my Night Force over to this rifle as well as my Harris notched swivel 6-9 " bi-pod. I installed the Phoenix tactical pod claw and rubber pads on the bi-pod. GG&G adapter. A MDT recoil pad for the PRS stock, Spikes Tactical winter trigger guard, Ergo palm shelf grip and Giessle SSA trigger that I used in another AR platform with about 500 rnds through it so very smooth. AAC thread protector and I will be ordering the Aadland 1 piece mount. I will post a pic of it when I am done.
  3. Welcome to the club. I have a NF 3.5-15x50 NXS with the NPR 2 Ret. I love my Night Force.
  4. SWFA has 34mm AAD in stock. I am going to use my Night Force 3.5-15x50 NXS NPR2 and its going on my AR-10 Super SASS. I sold one to buy one kinda thing but kept the scope and bi-pod. Also Leupold has 34 MM rings was well
  5. According to the website its $39.95 plus bucks in shipping and handling.
  6. Bushnell makes some nice stuff.
  7. Well I have done a lot more research and thinking. I and 80-90% on the Aadland 20 MOA mount. Yes I know its not the Bobro or ADM I had originally thought about going with lol. This rifle will be somewhat of a precision rig and I dont plan of using back up iron sights. If I do I can always go the route of the 45 degree angle sights or mounts and mount a small red dot. I am still not 100% but am getting there, buy once cry once lol.
  8. That's a nice looking piece of gear.
  9. Whilst doing some more reading, I have came across the Aadland mount. Without getting into the mechanics and why one is different than the other, by just looking at it, it looks similar to the Sphur. The Sphur has various holes for mounting various rails on the mount. The Aadland replaces the top part of the ring with a offset mount. They cost about half of the Sphur and what reviews I have read I heard that they are quite a mount SWFA sells them. Mile HIgh sells the Sphur for $410. On SWFA (for ease of use) Aadland goes for $230, Bobro $200 ish and ADM $185.
  10. I found it Tom and it helped. I have seen the Warnes and they look pretty tough.
  11. Well I know Mile High shows some love to LEOs I bought my AI chassis from them. I am appreciating the feedback from every one keep em coming. Thanks
  12. I have heard of them and know they are quality stuff, I searched then I spat out my coffee when I saw the price lol. This is you getting even for me picking up that Springer and having a matching set aint it Rob lol.
  13. Ok so I am having one of those ocd moments that I would like some advice on. I am looking at using either the Bobro or ADM mount on a AR-10 Super SASS and using my Night Force NXS 3.5-15x50. Max range 500 yards and this is to be a precision rig set up. I am still unsure if I will ever put BUIS on it., but its always and option. I have read reviews online and watched a you tube video review where both mounts were tried. He used his AI AE Mk 2 .308 at 100 yards with black hills ammo. Both mounts were tested the same way by shooting a 10 shot group to ensure the optic was zeroed in. The operator removed the mount, shot another 10 shot group shot. Then if memory serves he would shoot 1 round and remove them shoot again for a total of 10 times. Time was taken to minimize shooter fatigue and ensure that any deviation was not due from the barrel heating up. The Bobro returned to zero after every time, the ADM did not. The operator stated both were good mounts and when the ADM was not removed it would hold zero. So since I hate Murphy am I obsessing over nothing, buy one cry once and spend the extra cash on the Bobro or save the money and go ADM and not worry about it and use it for therapy on the ocd lol. Thanks Guys
  14. They are nice, welcome to the club.
  15. Thank you for posting this thread
  16. Fulton Armory 308 buffer springs in stock for $10.00 or does it need to be AR-10 specific and those wont work. I am used to the SR-25 pattern and still learning about the Armalite AR-10
  17. I have a SSA-E in one of my rifles and a Wilson Combat TTU 4# single stage in another. They are both very good triggers but both very different. As 98Z5V stated and no offense intended, do a lot of research before buying, but until you feel one in the rifle you are putting it in, research is one thing coping a feel so to speak is another lol. I have noticed I like a smooth single stage on a scoped AR with a little bit of take up in the trigger and a short but positive reset and a 2.5-3.5 pound pull.
  18. Me enable the enabler in chief ? :)) I handled one and I want one, but I have other projects to finish first.
  19. :)) I literally wore the finish off of it and its being cerakoted I should have it back Tuesday
  20. I have a Garret Industries that I carry my 4" 1911 in. Its the best of both worlds so to speak. Kydex shell with a nice leather bonded to the inside so its easier on the finish than just kydex. I have a FBI cant to it and being 6'5'' and 240 I can hide it pretty easy especially with 2 XL Harley T-shirts ( my other expensive hobby 2009 Road King Classic White Gold/Pewter ) .
  21. Have you had a chance to handle a Springfield XDS slim in .45 ACP. ? They are very nice and would go well with your growing collection.
  22. I carry a Springfield Armory Champion Operator 1911 with an added Ed Brown mainspring housing mag well combo in a Garrett Industries holster. My favorite is its big brother the TRP Operator with the full railed dust cover. I replaced the stock adjustable sight and injection molded hammer hammer with a set of night sights and a squared STI hammer.
  23. I have the MDT recoil pad replacement for the PRS stock. You just unscrew the stock butt plate and put the nice thick " cushy " one on. It adds about 1/2 inch or so to the LOP. Zel Indutries I believe also makes a pad replacement using the butt plate and their adapter screws on and uses a limb saver or d-cell pad. the also are kind of pricey I paid $35.00 for my recoil pad. I have not seen the Sierra Precision before it looks very nice.
  24. I own a Night Force 3.5-15x50 NPR1 the glass comes from japan and is according to NF the only thing imported, everything else is USA made.
  25. A friend of mine has one and they are a nice scopes, they also come with brass shims to set your zero stop with. The glass quality is good and is a all around nice scope for the price of a FFP/ Lit reticle scope. Also Vortex customer service is top notch from various reviews that I have read.
