  1. In that case, yeah! 3-5 minutes max if the end cap is aluminum.
  2. That sounds much better. Sounds like the older guy didn't know what he was doing.
  3. Well, it's dependent on material. AR15 receivers are made of aluminum while suppressors are typically made of stainless steel at the bare minimum. Often, Inconel is used for the core/baffles for overall durability. Comparing aluminum and inconel, aluminum is like butter. Nickel-based alloys like inconel are a PITA to machine. That said, I do have some suppressors in the works.... :D 2 hours on a lower - that's too high. 45 minutes is about right, perhaps faster if you know how to optimize programs.
  4. ooops... jizzed twice.
  5. So juicy! Oooh I cant wait!
  6. Hmm....waiting to see what you receive in the mail and your review.
  7. That was hilarious. I was ROTFL for a few minutes after watching the video. :D
  8. What? No Jennifer Lawrence gun pics? <lmao> <laughs>
  9. There's always caked up carbon at the muzzle end under the flash suppressor after shooting a good amount (i.e. more than a few rounds). The military has drilled it into my head to clean that area after every shoot. If you're worried about damaging the crown and affecting acuracy, be aware that the carbon buildup also does the same thing. Scrape it off with a knife and clean it up with a brass bristled brush.
  10. ...at least your Dawn isn't cranky tonight, like my Dawn....
  11. Hehe... just yanking your chain, Tom. :D
  12. Melonite? <laughs> <lmao> Cerakote? <lmao> <laughs> Dude, Gibbs. Thanks for the laughs. P.S. almost peed myself. P.P.S. Tom, you got trolled! For Tom getting trolled:
  13. Hey, they spent all our tax dollars on paramilitary equipment and hardware for the SWAT team, so they're eager to bring out the toys to play. Who cares if it's a prank or it's a legit call. Doors aren't getting busted down by themselves! <laughs> <lmao>
  14. The 4th bottle, blocked from view in that pic, is a glitter blue. Wonder how it looks. <lmao>
  15. "Long term" depends on how quickly I get around to shooting them. :D Cost wise it's 1/4 the cost and even the sealer bottle looks similar to a nail polish bottle, but I can choose from various colors if I go the cheap route. The "sealer" also helps hold the primers in when shuttling around so if you have loose primers they don't fall off before you put them in the mag. Don't know...3 weeks after bopping my thumb with a chunk of aluminum, the thumb/nail still feels numb, but it doesn't look like it's gonna fall off at all. Wonder if I broke something under there.
  16. Nail polish needs to be in your kit. I have them on my reloading bench and use them to moisture-seal the primer pockets and also helps me ID my loads.
  17. Good price. I can't even get close to that price at wholesale.
  18. Ah... I see what you're doing here. :D
  19. The 25-round ones are fine and get ths Shibi stamp of approval. :D
  20. Nice shooting, Bubba!
  21. ....or wanna wait another week and you can get one of my forged lowers with whatever caliber markings you want?
  22. How about this from a 300 AAC (reloaded 220gr subs) at 100 yards? I did lose count on these after 10.... :D
  23. <thumbsup> <thumbsup> <thumbsup>
  24. I've seen/touch/felt/smelled RedX barrels firsthand. The final finish (especially on the flutes) wasn't all that great, mind you this was on the small batch of barrels that I molested, not just one. For the record this was a bunch of fluted SS barrels.
