  1. Thanks! Just what I thought - almost 30mm
  2. You went to Zed's? <laughs>
  3. We're already planning on a safe. Gonna hide it away in the break room (which is the only lockable room away from the windows). I'm worried if I put in display cases that it'll tempt some druggie to break in, smash and make off with some stupid accessories. Cameras are already in place. It's set up to give us situational awareness both outside an inside. We actually caught one of our night shift staff falling asleep on the job, thanks to the cameras. You'd think he'd notice those cameras (they are out in the open) but he just checked in, pushed the start button, then made himself comfortable and went to sleep. Dumbass kid. <laughs> <lmao>
  4. I like beavers... er wait, wrong type of beavers..... <lmao> <laughs>
  5. You guys are making me crap my pants. I was't that worried until you guys started with that poop on drugged out crackheads and stupid kids. Now I gotta go figure out how to druggie/young-dumbass proof the shop before we get all them guns and other toys in. To make things even more difficult, the "shop" is a "shop"! I've got every metal cutting tool available in the main manufacturing shop floor. Taking suggestions. Store guns offsite?
  6. My server is always available to host... and it's not like I'd charge to host this site since I get my entertainment here.....just throwing it out there man.... :P
  7. That's the 308ar Alpha Dog of the Week
  8. ^^^ I should hire Tom for tech support when I start offering rifles for sale. <laughs>
  9. Curious, how much you pay for the Barnes VorTX? Last I checked they were almost $40/box for 165/180gr ones. BTW, you have to shoot some of them at least to know how they perform - I've done some reloads with the TTSX (180gr) and the POI was shifted about 2 mil low&left compared to regular 170gr 180gr match HPBT bullets (various factory match rounds or my quasi-match reloads). I'm assuming that this was due to changes in the bullet dynamics when compared to their bretheren. I also noticed large POI shifts with the 300 AAC 110 VorTX when compared to regular 110gr/125gr plinkers. You'll probably find the core-lokt ones are pretty consistent with HPBT match bullets. I tried Hornady American Whitetail 150gr and was pretty happy with it (consistently ringing steel @ 300 yds). Have you checked out the 165gr Atomic Ammo from wally world? They were $109/box of 100 IIRC. My personal go-to round for general target/practice use is the FGMM 175gr SMK HPBT. These are super consistent and perform really well. It' also easy to reload to similar specs with commonly available powders. PSA was running a special on them a $22.99/box and I picked up some (primarily for the brass, since my brass is gettting a little old).
  10. "projectiles" :))
  11. "Work in progress" (it's one of our early test cuts and is now an official paperweight). ATF said I can't sell them until we have an FFL, so I had to run out and get one. :D I know, right? That's with the inluded sunshade on the scope, makes it totally ridiculous looking. That Burris is the next evolution in my stupidity I call the "300 AAC". <lmao> I'm not expecting much since the scope's ballistic tables do not include the 300 BLK round so I'm using the 7.62x39 round as a baseline. Setting everything up today at the shop so I can take it out to the range tomorrow with my 125gr supersonic reloads. Sights really well, and ranges correctly (tested up to 700 yards beind the shop), when compared side-by-side with my Nikon LRF. Hoping to put together a range report when I get a chance. I'm busy enough as it is. :D
  12. Adding mine to the collection :D
  13. Use a standard "A1" tube (aka "A2" tube), and team it up with a heavy buffer.
  14. As you probably already know, yours truly is now an FFL (07) manufacturer of firearms. We just got set up with a ton of dealers for components, parts, and accessories, and we are getting pretty good wholesale discounts on items. Anyway, while we are getting estabished with our suppliers, I figure I can pass on the discounts to forum members here so we can get some sales volume going while we are also stocking up on parts for the stuf we are building. Anyone interested? It will take a short amount of time to order the items in since we are setting up our initial orders with most of them right now. Basically you can jump on the bandwagon while we are making the wholesale orders and get the items at good discounts. Discounts vary and is largely dependent on brand/distributor and average about 15%-20% off. Current products available for order: Geissele CMMG DPMS Magpul (there's a really nice deal on the poly MBUS sets right now) Some off-the-shelf stripped uppers and lowers (not made by us) Streamlight Lancer Troy Reloding supplies (Bullets projectiles, hardware, whatever powder I can get my grubby hands on) PM if you're interested since pricing can't be disclosed in a publicly viewable place, per dealership agreements. Admins - is this OK? lol
  15. Wait till you buy stuff from alibaba.com. "Made in USA" components from Chinese factories. A buddy bought a bunch of solid state switches and none of them work! Return policy? Yeah right. He's now stuck with 100 rectanguar hockey pucks that take 3-phase power. <laughs>
  16. I'd take one of those JCM 900's..... yeah those that go to ELEVEN! :D
  17. You're welcome! What is the "real" diameter of the SIG tube? Good to know just in case we decide to make something sleeker and more "adjustable". :D
  18. <lmao> <laughs> <lmao> <laughs> :)) <thumbsup> (been working since 6am, then kicked out of the house by the wife to take the kids to a movie while she had girls' nite with other moms, come back and see this - I just lost it).
  19. Gotta test that out one of these days. :D
  20. Epoxy. There. Problem solved.
  21. Thanks - perfect timing. Buddy "ordered" like 500 rounds yesterday!
  22. Hmmm... how does one mount this to the cartridge plate on a progressive?
  23. A puffy down jacket like this. Problem solved. <laughs> Then again you'll die from heatstroke out here in AZ with that on. LOL
  24. Hello from AZ!!!!
  25. Whole day to do whatever I want, and I spent it reloading ammo.....
