  1. Look like Nathan Wright's "Beast" just beat out the Terminator for the #1 spot:
  2. Sorry for the redundancy.. I posted it in both sections.
  3. For Sale: Bushnell 1-4x24 Throw Down PCL Scope with Aero Precision Ultralight Optic Mount $270 for both, shipped (within CONUS). New (took it to the range twice). Great optic and mount, just turns out not to be what I was needing for my build. PM me with your email if interested, or post below.

  5. "http://www.shop.jeccustom.com/Quick-Brake-JEC-QB5824.htm something like this is always good if you plan on using a suppressor at times." -^^^This is probably the best option. It's made to work with the Crux Archangel PMS suppressor, which I hear has minimal to zero POI shift.
  6. Its all been answered: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2016/02/jeremy-s/308-muzzle-brake-test/ (SJC / Lund Titan Brake topped the .223 tests, fyi) http://precisionrifleblog.com/2015/08/21/muzzle-brake-summary-of-field-test-results/ http://www.muzzlebrakesandmore.com/Video_s_and_Pictures.php http://terminatorproducts.co.nz/ I've spent way to much time looking at all this. It seems Nathan Wright's Beast Brake is the best performance, especially for the money - only likely beat out by the very expensive terminator. The DPMS Miculek is probably the best cheap brake. Not all will decrease muzzle rise like the JP eliminator, and some will dip the muzzle too far.
  7. I've read a few interviews with Todd Hodnett, stating that he has often shot well beyond 1K with a 1:7 or 1:8 twist in .308. Yes, with heavier bullets. Communicating with Bryan Litz, he also advocated for a faster twist at long range with heavier projectiles when trying to find the best B.C. I also think Remington used to sell a ~18" 700 bolt action with a 1:7.5 twist from the factory, or something similar.
  8. Does this evoke "The Rule"? LOL - sounds like you need to sell you two AR15s and buy a LMT-MWS and report back! ;-)
  9. Have you seen this? Angstadt Arms UDP-9 https://angstadtarms.com/udp-9/
  10. If it works, you might need to start an order list!
  11. I've got one of these AR15Performance.com .223 Wylde barrels. Shoots like a laser. Inexpensive, good customer service, highly recommended http://ar15performance.com/5_56_223_wylde
  12. So, both can be set to 45? I'm going to be using the gun as a baseball bat, so I think the CASS is not necessary
  13. That looks interesting. Is it like the safety on a Rem 870? You'd obviously need to "register that bad AW in Ca" in order to use it since you won't be able to reach the left side with your thumb once the gun is "featureless". I know it's so stupid. Changing topic: What is the difference between the B.A.D.-ASS vs. the B.A.D.-CASS? I need an ambi that is 45-60 degrees to operate on the right side of the receiver without getting in the way of my trigger finger/knuckle.
  14. Falkor / SI Defense recommended this one: http://www.iv-industries.com/ivi-gear/mkii-viper-switch-fire-selector
  15. Thanks guys.
  16. Has anyone used a short-throw Ambi selector (45 / 50/ 60 degrees) with an SI Defense billet .308 lower? I called Battle Arms Development, and they said theirs only works with receivers that are designed for short throws (have a small notch on the selector hole). My receiver doesn't have this, so I need an ambi short throw selector that is already designed to operate in receivers without that notch. Thanks
  17. So, will the following work? Armalite EC0120 AR10 Carbine H3 Buffer 5.4 oz. http://www.riflegear.com/p-656-armalite-ar10-carbine-buffer-h3-heavy-buffer.aspx Armalite EA1095 Spring https://armalite.com/shop/ar-10-operating-spring/ UTG PRO Extn Tube https://leapers.com/prod_detail.php?mitem=Accessories and Parts&itemno=TLU001
  18. Uh, maybe others can chime in here, but are you sure that's correct? I've seen DPMS pattern / Vltor receiver extension tubes run with Armalite H3 Buffer and Spring.
  19. Falkor Defense Ambi are nice
  20. You need a .308-specific lower parts kit, not an AR-15 LPK. Try this one: http://www.fulton-armory.com/lowerreceiverpartskittitanwithouttriggerparts-1.aspx
  21. Awesome.
  22. EngrBob, Did you use a "high pressure" bolt (narrower pin) with your 6.5 CM? Also, what length gas system and which barrel are you running? Thanks
  23. Here ya go: http://www.precisionreflex.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=186813 http://www.dwilsonmfg.com/store/p27/AR10_Carrier_Assembly_w%2F_small_parts_.html
  24. Thanks, I'll check it out.
  25. I've heard there are apps for smart phones that will allow you to take a photo of your target, and digitally measure the MOA of your group size. Is anyone familiar with these, or which of these apps work best / what my options are? Thanks
