Thats cool. Had one come into the LGS last week and he took it in for $75. my buddy said ill give you $100 for it. He almost took it home but decided to put the money into ammo instead. It also had a straight bolt handle and an octag recv.

Yeah, be very careful with the lower. Armalite and dpms ARE DIFFERENT! The safety and trigger pins are shifted foward towards the muzzle .059 as compared to a dpms print in relation to the rear take down pin. As far as a recomendation for a lower??? I have no idea as my only 308 build was a dpms pattern

Was able to pick up my xds and put a few rounds through it this weekend, I must say that I'm really impressed with how it shoots. The recoil was not bad at all and the sights were dead nuts. I was hitting steel at 100yds no problem. I ended up putting the green fiber optic sight in and it seems ok so far. I need to work on my grip though as my wedding band seems to rub my right ring fingers knuckle, I could always just get divorced.... Now I just need to get a micro tuck holster.

My buddy just finished a 7.5" pistol build, put it on an 80% lower with no markings at all. Ive read its a good idea to atleast machine "pistol only" or something similar on the lower to show it never lived as a "rifle". Any truth to that??

If you dont like it you could always just carry it to the safe , and try another one. Ive had wanted to get one of these for awhile. figured I'd wait until all the bugs were worked out and people had time to review them.

I just ordered an xds 45 3.3 500 out the door. Picking it up saturday. LGS owed me $330 for doing some machine work so I couldnt resist. Also jumped on the Springfield gear up promotion. which is what pushed me to just get it now.
