Oh I gotcha. :-) Sounds familiar, ill have to see it :-)
-
Although I dont know what movie you guys are referring to... I now want to see it. It isn't Himalayan Imports, it is from Khukuri House, or more recently, Ex Ghurka Khukuri House. I like EGKH because they are bit cheaper, even though they ship from Nepal, but also because they do some other wicked designs, and they do a lot more stuff that I full tang. I am a HUGE advocate of full tang knives.

Haha if you were around here I would be all for it. Honestly, for a couple of dollars more, I could have purchased the "buff head" ceremonial Khukuri. It has like a 36" blade and weighs 15lbs. They have a religious ceremony where the head if the household has to chop through a cows neck in one swing, or his entire family gets bad luck for the rest of the year. Lol I imagine most of them are successful :-D

New model sling! The On Point one point sling is not only the most user friendly and comfortable one point that i have made, but it is also the most upgradable sling that I make. Price starts at $55 retail (before $5 forum member discount) +$5 for a metal cam slide lock (in place of my standard buckle) +$5 for multicam webbing +$5 for fire starting 550 (New option!!!) If you want the whole shebang, I can give a discount. But look at the attention to detail and design features, and you will see that it is well worth it, and quickly why it isbecoming one of my most popular slings.

Haha, they have some AWESOME knives!!! Why do I need a combat cleaver!!!??? I dont know but I do! I guess I blame it on isis, they give me a practical use for one LOL I have already got a few people interested in buying from these guys. Maybe if I do a crappy good review, and post some reviews on YouTube, and I can prove that I have brought them a lot of interest, as we as advice to help them improve their product fortune American market, they would send me some free knives to review. :-) Then maybe I could make a name for myself reviewing their knives.... Then maybe i could wholesale them, and get my business going... :-D

Nice Tom! I continue to be impressed with your taste for things destructive lol

If you need a Becker, I know just the website to hook you up ;-) Khukri pron in T minus 10

No such thing as overdue brother :-) I will have to take advantage of your photography, your rifle makes my sling look great! :-)

I got the kukri! It came from Nepal in two business days!? I guess I will have to post some info... where is the blade section?

Well... I dont think that I would use the khuk to bash skulls. With the khuk I like the alternative;-) I dont want to derail anyone here, when I get this bad boy, I will give yall an ear full! Whether you want it or not ;-) Back on the topic of twin hawks, I LOVE this company. And i heard someone on here talking about the trapper hatchet. Since I owned one, let me tell you... GET IT to be honest, I sold mine this weekend, and if I knew that there was any interest here I would have let yall know. But I have a secret coming in that allowed me to sell it, dont worry ;-) If you want a nice small axe, but $ is a little cheap, a more affordable handmade option is ragweed forge. He is worth checking out, and is a great guy. He is also the guy to go to if you want a Mora. They are Viking style, but serve the same purpose:-)

Sponge camo it is. That looks great!

I'm going to have to add my $0.02 I carried some kind of funky 2 point for a long time in the army that seemed to have 3/4" webbing, and more adjustment than I knew what to do with. I believe it was a blue force... we all got issued the same thing. Since I dont remember what it was, ill just say that it sucked. Badly. So, being the highspeed private that I was, as soon as I deployed, I purchased some expensive made in USA multicam one point. (Everything had to be multicam, I never would, and never will buy Acu anything if I can help it) Gosh dang what a stupid sling. I thought "oh man, this will be so high-speed for transitions etc) No... I think that it sucks. I carried it every day, often for miles in 1 zillion degree weather. One points are right for some people. Not for me. First off, they put much more pressure directly on your neck. Very uncomfortable IMHO Next, I heard them advertised as being quick to transition. False. More like quick to neuter you. Imagine having your rifle on a rope tied around your neck. There you go. I thought that while letting your rifle rest, it would be in a natural position. Well... I thought a lot of things when I was a private. So I got out and started looking for a SIMPLE two point sling that was quick and easy to adjust, quick AMD easy to take off, and could be worn on my back or front, and could be transitioned almost instantly from back carry to the low ready... didn't exist. I dont think. So here I am. Thats my story. Now ill talk about the merits of a comfortable two point. In front carry, when you drop your firearm to transition to a sidearm, or you allow your rifle to rest, it rests in a natural position, basically in the low ready. Right where you need it. Your rifle should never pendulum into your family jewels, not that it has to pendulum into your family jewels... it hurts anywhere. It can be worn comfortably on the back, or on the front. With a backpack, or without. A complicated sling can be like a computer or cell phone that doesnt work correctly. Especially if you have all of your excess webbing properly s rolled and taped ;-) I call this tunnel vision. Its where I am so angry at an inanimate object that I was to kill it slowly, while looking into its eyes, and watching it scratch at my hands that are around its neck... I want it to beg forgiveness and cry for help as I kill it... But I guess me and my phone/ computer/ other peoples slings dont have a good relationship ;-)

Oh it will be going on there for sure!

I agree with you! I will probably love the movie, but i am just going to wait for dvd.

I could do some custom work for sure! I tried to learn to play guitar once... I had blacklight glowing neon pink strings, and basically just learned the most simple things and played with distortion on my amp... I was going to learn to play a song for our wedding, called the wedding off, sold the guitar, then the wedding was back on LOL Anyways, if someone wants a guitar strap, send me a message with some tenth and adjustability information, and a color request, and ill make it happen!

Blue... I am afraid that i am one of the foil batters that you mentioned... LOL I am not in a rush to see the movie, because I question the legitimacy of the book, and the motivation behind the movie even more. I mean... the first whore(lady) supported it and Chris Kyle... somethings gotta be wrong with it LOL

I LOVE twin hawks products! I few years ago I bought their trapper single bit hatchet from the makers brother at a preppers convention in Nashville (that was AWESOME btw) (Along with quite a few knives) I thought that i would never get rid of it, but sold it today for THIS http://www.nepalkhukurihouse.com/435/18-Inch-3-Chiras-Yak-Leather-Sheath-Kukri.php

Who is going to post of step by step with photos of themselves doing the laundry bag technique!? Lets see it! That would need a sticky somewhere on the forum I think.
-
Being that i was an infantryman in a infantry company in a cav unit, our job title was rista, which made us pretty scoutish. Before deployment, everyone has to rattle can their guns. No black. Except for me. As much as I wish that i had, I dreaded the thought of rattle canning my gun, then coming back from deployment and having to detail strip it... so I found a way to not do it. I wish that i had. But I LOVE the laundry bag look. I might do it to my baby... I dont personally care for a black rifle. I especially dont care for a stainless barrel. LOL

When we do finally hear from our news sources, they will probably say a gas line ruptured or something stupid :/
