I had a 250 round box of 7.62X51 think it was M85? that "fell off a truck" I was lucky, I traded it box ammo, links and all for 300 rounds of Federial.308 175 grain to a dealer that is a class III dealer.

The cold front blew thru here very quickly about sundown (Comanche County) temp fell over 20 degrees in an hour and half the storms formed here rapidly grew and moved NE at around 45 mph. We only had fast straight winds until 7:30 when it started raining. We should have rain until around 10:00PM Sunday night when it turns to snow. It is stay at home and put on a big pot of beef stew kind of weather.

like I said verify what is stamped on the rifle, If the rifle lower is marked 308 that means the lower will accept 308 magazines and since different caliber upper receivers and barrels may be mounted, be sure to shoot Ammo that matches what is stamped on the barrel and if you want to use a magazine use a magazine that is compatible with a 308 Winchester cartridge. Kind of simple rules, okay?

Legislative Session: 84(R) House Bill 910 House Author: Phillips et al. Effective: See below Senate Sponsor: Estes et al. Previous law provided for a licensing scheme to carry a concealed handgun under certain circumstances. House Bill 910 amends the Alcoholic Beverage Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Education Code, Election Code, Family Code, Government Code, Health and Safety Code, Labor Code, Local Government Code, Occupations Code, Parks and Wildlife Code, and Penal Code to authorize a person who is licensed to carry a handgun to openly carry a holstered handgun. The bill decreases the penalty for a license holder trespassing with a concealed handgun to a Class C misdemeanor and creates a Class C misdemeanor offense for a license holder trespassing with an openly carried handgun. The penalty for these trespassing offenses is enhanced to a Class A misdemeanor if the trespasser ignores verbal notice that the person may not enter or remain on the property with a handgun. The bill makes it a Class A misdemeanor offense for a handgun license holder to carry a partially or wholly visible handgun on or about the license holder’s person and intentionally display the handgun in plain view of another person on the premises or certain streets, walkways, driveways, or parking areas of a public, private, or independent institution of higher education. House Bill 910 takes effect January 1, 2016, except that the provision set to expire on September 1, 2019, relating to the fee for a mental health background check for a license to carry a handgun takes effect September 1, 2015, and an identical provision takes effect September 1, 2019.

Don't say CAN'T shoot Nato 7.62X51 in a modern LR308.....308 Winchester....... don't say CAN'T shoot .308 Winchester commercial in a 7.62X51NATO modern rifle. Just say BE CAREFUL It has been done years before there ever was an internet or shooting forum. Pay attention what caliber is stamped on the rifle. My DPMS LR308 has both .308 and 7.62X51 stamped on it. Use good fresh high quality American or NATO brase cased ammo, don't over heat your barrel with a bunch of rapid fire, and hand load a few notches below the load for .308 Max.found in a brand name reloading manual, use a Chronograph to check the velocity if you are really picky and be sure the rifle is clean and has a good machined chamber.

here is the one I got this week, it is almost idenitical to the old Brinkman I have used for 30 years, they don't make the Brinkman electric smoker without the side door anymore. I load it up with mesquite or hickory chips in the metal pan directly on top of the burner element ,, a water-drip pan above the chips and two cooking racks with the tight fitting lid with a thermometer on top, turn it on and set the variable heat dial and after a set amount of time ,turn it off and take out perfectly smoked food. I do turkeys, hams, and briskets, and baby-back ribs, chickens and salmon fillets It is a good cheap cooker.

A man walks out to the street and catches a taxi just going by. He gets into the taxi, and the cabbie says, 'Perfect timing. You're just like Frank.' Passenger: 'Who?' Cabbie: 'Frank Feldman. He's a guy who did everything right all the time. Like my coming along when you needed a cab, things happened like that to Frank Feldman every single time.' Passenger: 'There are always a few clouds over everybody.' Cabbie: 'Not Frank Feldman. He was a terrific athlete. He could have won the Grand-Slam at tennis. He could golf with the pros. He sang like an opera baritone and danced like a Broadway star and you should have heard him play the piano. He was an amazing guy.' Passenger: Sounds like he was something really special. Cabbie: 'There's more. He had a memory like a computer. He remembered everybody's birthday. He knew all about wine, which foods to order and which fork to eat them with. He could fix anything. Not like me. I change a fuse, and the whole street blacks out. But Frank Feldman, could do everything right. Passenger: 'Wow, some guy then.' Cabbie: 'He always knew the quickest way to go in traffic and avoid traffic jams. Not like me, I always seem to get stuck in them. But Frank, he never made a mistake, and he really knew how to treat a woman and make her feel good. He would never answer her back even if she was in the wrong; and his clothing was always immaculate, shoes highly polished too - He was the perfect man! He never made a mistake. No one could ever measure up to Frank Feldman.' Passenger: 'An amazing fellow. How did you meet him?' Cabbie: "Well, I never actually met Frank. He died and I married his f****n' wife.

in the original instructions they show using a paint on temp indicator liquid to use on an old cartridge case to set the speed of the main motor to get the correct annealing temp.

In 1960 I belive the Marines had at least two indicators in the service number, 16xxxxx was regular Marine Corps enlisted and 18xxxxx was enlisted Marine Corps Reserve. I am sure the Women Marines had another. The Marine Corps had a restriction on the number of Regular Marines billits and only the Army was blessed with draftees it was several years later when there were draftees in the Marines.

You are not alone about those battle site adjustments. I still remember my battle sight dope (200 Yd Zero) for my M1 Garand issued to me in boot camp at MCRD in March 1960, Elevation +12 clicks and windage right 2 clicks. When I left active duty and went to ready reserve my brand new issue Mi also worked with 12 and 2. I think that I will never forget my rifle battle sight dope, nor my Service number, which was not my S.S. number. However I did purchase my own personal Mi (select grade from Kliens) for $108 plus $3.50 shipping and handleing by USPS in 1963. changed to only elevation of 6 and 1 left. By the way I still had that rifle until I gave it to my son upon his retirement from the US Army in 2013, he still lets me shoot it often enough to suit me.
