I had chicken fried steak, gravy, fried okra, mashed taters and cornbread for supper last night! Hard to beat.

My loads are for my rifle. Get a reloading manual (I prefer Sierra's) and work it up. You will gain valuable knowlege that you will retain for the rest of your life as well as a relationship with your rifle that you would not necessarily gain any other way. That being said, I prefer 4064 powder, either IMR or Hogdens. And I use Benchrest primers from CCI.

When I left active duty I swore to never run when I could walk and never walk when I could ride. Pushups were to be only done when on top of a willing female and pullups were to be avoided at all costs. I have been successful so far, and have gone from my 192 lb fighting weight to 270 lbs of what my wife calls "comfortable". My eyes are about shot, my muscles are gone (I prefer to think they are just hiding beneath the flab) and I am happy with my life. Some people are happy in retirement with a workout routine that a 20 year old would find difficult. I had a good friend who prided himself in his 20 mile runs. He even rode a bike from Georgia to Colorado. He died from a heart attack at age 38. So, I hold my recliner down all I can and enjoy my little life. I have enough memories to last me to the end.

Our muslim fuehrer wants it to happen here. Then he can declare martial law and stay in office forever.

Yes. Each individual rifle. Takes time, but as anal as I am about accuracy it's worth it.

I know Georgia issues drivers licenses to people who apparently can't read. Or see.

The AR platform is capable of exceptional accuracy if tuned right. But then again most rifles are. Some shoot better with pressure on the barrel while most I have worked on shoot best free floated. The best way to achieve accuracy is ammo. That's why I handload for accuracy and not ballistic performance.

Awesome. My best friend in high school went to a different college and we lost touch. He wrote me a letter telling me to not come over to this place because it is bad. I got the letter after I was in- country about 2 weeks.

Owned all but one of those. Maybe if I check back far enough I can find if my forefathers owned some of the poop Heads.

I want 2 of each. And the key to an ammo bunker.

'This is your Captain. We're on our final descent into Tampa . I want to thank you for flying with us today and hope you enjoy your stay in the Tampa Bay area'. He forgets to switch off the intercom . Now the whole plane can hear his conversation from the cockpit. The copilot can be heard saying to the pilot, 'So, Skip, whatcha got planned while we're in Tampa ?' 'Well,' says the skipper, 'first I'm gonna check into the hotel, take a big crap....then I'm gonna take that new stewardess, with the huge tits, out for dinner.... I'm gonna wine and dine her, take her back to my room and give her a ride on the baloney pony all night long.' Aghast and amused, everyone on the plane hears this and immediately begins looking up and down the aisle, trying to figure out who this new stewardess is that the pilot is talking about. Meanwhile, the new stewardess is seated at the very back of the plane. She is so embarrassed that she starts running toward the cockpit to turn the intercom off. Halfway down the aisle, she trips over an old lady's bag and down she goes. The old lady leans over and says: 'No need to hurry, dear. He's gotta land the plane and take a poop first!!'

Late to the party. Again. After the 3rd try, I finally got the correct trigger. After installation, I finally got a chance to use it. I am impressed with it. Break is very good at about 3 lbs. Reset is very short. The roller part is unique and after getting used to it, I really like it. I have grown up with conventional triggers and know where to place the pad of my trigger finger on my guns and being as you use the first knuckle joint on this trigger it is unnatural at first. But as I got used to it I began to appreciate the concept. So, bottom line: I really like it. Did it shrink my groups? Hard to say. But it is easier to use once you get used to it. A novel idea that works.

I had no problem with the old one but I do like the new one better.

I always used Leupolds. But that was when I was working and could afford them. I sent one back that I have had for 40+ years and they rebuilt it and sent it back on their dime. Hard to beat that. After becoming disabled I no longer have the coins for all the super neat stuff. Besides, my eyes are not what they used to be so it probably don't matter anyway.

My M1a is under $2000, but I built it myself. It is match accurate and has a $200 scope on it. Works good and lasts a long time.

Removing the handguard without a tool

Too bad. But it looks like it will grow back just fine. -

I have to have motors on mine. Bad knees and a lack of wanting to perform strenuous activity. -
Yeah, but I prefer my 12 gauge.

That's some serious looking hardware. I like it!

Dang, man. You could be the shoeless lineman with those feet. No need for climbers, just dig them nails in and go to the top! -
I hate paying more for a scope than I paid for the gun. I might have to bite the bullet, though. Thanks!

I'm going to get a Kidd barrel for my Charger. I have an old one that puts many 22 rifles to shame. BTW, what optics do you guys run? I need a variable long eye relief with a fine cross hair. Most of them have clunky plex reticles or red dots that cover a Coke can at 100 yards.

One hell of a place you got! My envy meter is pegged out.

Exactly my problem or situation. Same handguard. I measured mine and cut it even with the shoulder of the gas block. I figured the thickness of the old handguard collar would be sufficient thickness to give me just the right spacing. I measured twice and cut it but it is about 1/4" too short. No big deal but we do want our guns perfect, don't we. I guess I will just get another tube and cut it again. They are cheap enough. Thanks, guys!

Does anyone make a shim or spacer for a free float tube? They make a 9" and a 9.5" round tube. I need a 9.25 " tube. Rather than cutting down a 9.5" tube, I was thinking of either shimming or getting a spacer. I measured the nut and it is 2".
