Well guys, this might be it. Covid and its panic pretty much shut down much of the shooting around here. People don't shoot what they can't replace. It is loosening up a bit but now time, age, back, and knee are all working against me. A huge shout out of thanks to all of you who I have served in the past. Hmmmm. Another good question. I was wondering how a 5.56 jig would work on a 308 lower. Are finishing jig kits that universal?

Softpoint hunting bullets will deform going up the feedramps of an AR. For me it made no difference with the ranges we get shots on deer. For the best consistent accuracy stick with OTM or plastic tipped bullets for at the range.

The guntec barrel nuts I'm familiar with have multiple holes and a torque range that can be used. You should be able to get a set of holes to line up with the holes in the handguards simply by retorquing the barrel nut without shims.

^^^ This. I still use the Lee clear red funnel I got way back when with my single stage press kit. It works fine for me with everything from 223 up to 375 Socom.

My main reason to go to wet tumbling was to get away from the lead tainted dusty mess. You don't realize how bad it is until you see the water go into the tumbler clear, and come out black. A good lung full or two of that toxic dust every time you tumble cases can build up over time.
