  1. With luck like that...how would you like to talk with my boss about my much needed and deserved pay raise?
  2. Just wanted to update on this. The SSA website states this ammunition is marked as blem due to having mixed headstamps but I can say that my order came with all the same headstamps...and yes I looked at all 1000 of them just to be sure.
  3. LMAO...Now that's funny!
  4. Nothing like real use reviews by non-profit oriented people!
  5. This is spot on. I have some pistols that I have to lollipop (6 o'clock hold) and some that "push the dot" which is when the bullet impacts right where the front sight is covering but as Tom stated above, the front sight is key to your sight picture.

    It's here!

Is this for real? I mean does Commiefornia actually have a law that restricts you to buying no more than 1 handgun per month?
  7. I've never seen anything like it before. Agree with Slugger43...why? People that live close to impact ranges are aware of the implications prior to renting or buying a house. Never seemed to bother me even when the windows would shake occasionally from the impacts or explosions. You kind of get used to it.
  8. I'm just glad they cleared him!
  9. I was looking at that one as well since it's forged but went with the one I linked to because of the 5 in jaws and didn't think I would wear it out for my usage. I try to buy American anytime it's possible for that very reason! I looked at some of the Craftsman stuff, not vises, and have been a little disappointed with the quality as of late. It seems the toolboxes at least are craptastic compared the the one I bought 10 years ago. I'm not talking about the tool chests mind you, just the plain ole carry around tool boxes. Sad!
  10. Welcome from Washington.
  11. I still remember the Rodney King riots when some of the anti gun "progressives" who were friends with Charlton Heston asked to borrow some of his weapons and his response was: sure just as soon as you fill out the proper paperwork and wait the mandatory 10 days. At least that is how he told the story. Makes me smile every time I think of his response :)
  12. Welcome back Roger. Best wishes on the new endeavor. We have high expectations :)
  13. That's what she said ;) I hear ya...mission dictates weapon choice. Nice 5.56 btw. Very sexy!
  14. I know of a guy that reloads steel. He swears it's just fine too. To each their own. I know about the LuckyGunner.com ammo test between steel and brass and I've heard the argument that in the amount of money saved on steel you could buy a new barrel. For me I just figure that while there is plenty of brass to be had I would rather use it since it obturates better than steel and thereby should reduce the possibility of problems in the functionality of the weapon...at least in theory.
  15. I had a fraternity brother whose nickname was Jaws. He is 6 ft 9in tall and had braces at the time. Also, wasn't the guy you wanted to trifle with even though for the most part he was a gentle giant.
  16. Not trying to be douche but I never really understood the 14.5 infatuation with 5.56 let alone a 308 battle rifle. I was always of the thought that pinned and welded anything was effing worthless. Like I said...not dogging ya just don't understand; particularly with the 308 platform. Doesn't a barrel that short limit the velocity achievable? If so, wouldn't anyone that wanted a 30 caliber weapon with a short barrel just opt for the 300 Blackout which is designed to function better at those shorter barrel lengths? Just trying to understand my man.
  17. These are your answers. Lots options out there but those are the two I like the most for fit and dexterity.
  18. Might know a few guys that used to play this prior to heading out: Watch "Johnny_Cash-The Man Comes Around" on YouTube Johnny_Cash-The Man Comes Around: https://youtu.be/k9IfHDi-2EA
  19. Here are a couple from Midwest Industries, both of which are 15 inch: http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=1230 http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=1345
  20. Since I was unable locate a thread which talked about vises aside from the fact that you need one I figured it was time to start a thread. Just ordered this bad boy today: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009AGUJD8/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1426429436&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=yost+650-c I figured it would work for just about anything I might encounter as well as handle to torque needed to ensure proper fitting of certain items. What do you use currently use for your bench vise?
  21. I know this is kind of a necro post but I wanted to say thank you for the idea. I had been looking for a toolbox to keep spare parts in and nothing seemed to look right. Saw the pics here and just ordered this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001TH8P1E/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1426428452&sr=8-1&keywords=plano+toolbox&pi=AC_SY200_QL40 Thanks again for the idea.
  22. I'm a pretty firm believer that components don't really degrade in value. Following that train of thought I have been buying while the prices are low. I usually buy in bulk online to make the juice worth the squeeze concerning the hazmat fee for powders and primers. Not sure how much is enough yet. Although I admit that it seems as if I have been spending more than usual lately.
  23. Wish I had a hot mail lady...mine looks like the wife of a Russian beet farmer! But she did bring my two Aero Precision M5 LPKs and the Master BCG Spare Parts Kit from d.wilson today.
  24. Welcome from Washington.
  25. Received my Master BCG Spare Parts Kit in the mail today. Ordered it on the 12th and got it in the mailbox on the 14th! Very impressive!
