  1. Thank you @Radioactive, any Lantac coupons?
  2. I'm also awake at 2am. My old friends, the horror dreams are visiting and trying to choke me to death, or bury me in a small space. Coffee good, dreams bad. I will try the H3 and add it to my 6mm/ARC ammo order if I can find some. Thank you once again. I wonder if Slash has them? Off to his site......@Heavybuffers.com
  3. Let's go old school for a moment if you will. I, yes I will never go against what I have learned, and will only change when proven wrong 100%. At that time I must change and accept the truth. So is it still a rule to ensure safety, that older 308 chambers may not accept 7.62? Modern firearms can accept both rounds Juan. If you get coo coo like the rest of us and jump in head first and decide to buy WWII surplus be careful and check out the chamber requirements. Is that OK? Old school compliments such as suggesting someone is my better simply infers the subject at hand. Do I think you treat your dog better than I ? No way, you may treat em' just as well as I do, but never better. How about family ? Same same. Matt, I do appreciate the information you supplied, I have changed, gratefully if not graciously to a new viewpoint and understanding. I remain suspect of any device which can change my beautiful 68 yr. old face and life style in a moment. I have many betters here on board regarding the 308. It doesn't mean they are better men than I across the board. Keep that in mind next time I say that. Juan I have been proven completely wrong. Please be careful and disregard my information, other than any safety measures implied.
  4. There you go Juan, my better has informed us both. I'll stick with my understanding for now.
  5. If it was a 308 you could only shoot 308. If it is 7.62 you can shoot 7.62 and 308. The chamber is slightly larger in the 7.62. Got any pics of the rifle you want to post?
  6. Anyone have a coupon source for Sharps rifle company. I'm buying two BCG and would like to save a bit. Thanks in advance.
  7. I was thinking along those lines as well. Like I said I haven't used the rifle yet, bur realized too late everyone's talking 308. Thanks for the info Radioactive. I'm going shooting Sunday with the 260 and see what's what.
  8. I just measured my LaRue 260 rem, and it's length is 3/4's of the cam cut out. LaRue doesn't have their stuff together? I'm going to call them. I have not done even the first cleaning on this rifle nor have I shot it. I have a 4.6oz, 3 1/4" H2, 11 1/2" red spring with 35 coils. I realize this is not the 308, does that measure up? Buffer tube 7 23/32nds, just shy of 7 3/4"
  9. Thanks unforgiven, is the bottom of that device closed? Does it hold the marinade, beer, or stock?
  10. Very cool. I always have some 3/8th and 1/2" threaded rod around the house. Great stuff and you did a good job, thanks for the info. What is that hot seat the chicken sat on called?
  11. 3x24=48 n'est pa?
  12. 2020 sucks, sorry Magwa for the horrible conditions by you.
  13. I know I have a white flag laying around here somewhere.
  14. Well in that case...
  15. Jail house wisdom. I'm going the suicide route before that, too old for the butt punch. I'll ship tomorrow.
  16. I followed an Emeril LaGasse recipe for a 2" pan fried rib eye. I got the pan ready and did the cook. At first, and immediately; the white smoke was a sign I was cooking just like the old pro himself. The smoking never stopped, I filled the house up with such a big cloud I had to open the doors and turn on electric fans. I opened the windows, had my wife choking and the dog followed suit. Oh stuff, I'm killing my family with this steak. My wife, needless to say was upset, the dog didn't care at all especially when I plated the beef and sat next to him on the couch. Man o man was the good. It turned into one of the best steaks I ever ate. Next one and all others will be on a grill outside of the house.
  17. I have the address, thanks.
  18. I had a different post I deleted once I reread your post. I may have deleted your address from old mail. Would you be kind enough to PM it once more. Let me just say this, my above post is gentleman speak (Orwellian). That's when I try my best to be a part of a community and add genuine stock to the corral. It is a payback. I told you before you could be paid for your advice and yet you continue to give it away, no charge. Anyway I'll stop before you think I'm posturing for a pant's down hug.
  19. Sorry for your loss buddy. That's heavy duty anger and sorrow. If you want a 7.62 Nato 12.5" barrel let me know. No charge. It's new, I bought so much stuff hanging out with you guys I have an ample supply and theoretically I could open a surplus site. Not really but 'what the hay'. I'll throw in a 556 as well. Just say yes, maybe that should be our second amendment slogan, " Just say Yes " to guns. Consider it some payback for all the good you do here. I tried to support this site through what I consider meager things like using the banner from Brownells and others. I don't like doing meager. Go big or go home works for me. Helping you out helps us all out. Just say Yes.
  20. I learned of White Oak at a few National Match contests, great folks as well.
  21. White Oak Armory Blue Line tribute barrel "Honor/Integrity" 10.5". Lee 10 lb. lead melter and thermometer. Svarog tail piece wads for slugs, steadies slugs for greater accuracy, from Reloadersnetwork.
  22. That's the second video I watched on tracking. Very interesting and informative, thanks for posting. At one time I thought it was all BS, of course all my info came from late night movies. Watching these guys plus some SAS films I see it as an art form now. Very cool.
  23. Received my order today, thanks for the deal ! If anyone new to this post or game, this is the GUY for buffers and such, simply there isn't any better or more knowledgeable.
