Did you make it to the range, swap out the buffer, decided it's no longer important? I did find out the dents were from a fast moving bcg so the thread worked for me. Best of Luck to you.

In my short look see toward safes Bear has come up as a good safe. Ft. Knox and Liberty are good as well. All recommendations are top shelf items so far. Going to look at the facts again. Thanks guys.

I did a search and found no specific topic related to gun safes. There are comments within other threads, but none item specific. I'm in need of a safe. I've gone to a local safe dealer, he's the guy that comes up if you do a search online. He is a nice enough fellow, but right now I'm not considering a $3000 safe. I have looked in Tractor Supply's roster and singled out Cannon's 64 gun widebody. It is on sale from $999 to $899. I've waited for a month so far for the sale and can wait some more. I'm looking for a $799 price before I jump. It is now a discontinued item and perhaps I'll see the $799 price Black Fri., or sooner. Yep, I have that hound dog capability, I'll sniff em out and wait for that fkr to drop from the tree. Unfortunately Florida and humidity go hand in hand. I can feel the dampness in my garage on certain days. A safe is now a must, and a need, and not a " me want, me want now " impulse buy. I have enough of that stuff. Any other recommendations ?

It is a gun forum, a small home town kinda place. I'm no authority on 308ar. What are you using the rifle for? Target, GP, hunting?

Welcome from Fla. You may have come to the right place. We need more information to help you better. The posts with pics help tremendously. A good comparison would be like reading text books vs comic books as a child. Comic books won hands down for me. What is that rifle for? An answer like it's for general use is allowed. Consistent 1 or 2 o'clock discharge is ok. It can be tuned to 3 or 4 if you like but isn't necessary IMHO. Shooting is the object of ownership so go shoot and have a ball. Personally I'd like to hear why the cases are getting dinged. I can not answer that question properly. One of our brothers can but he's waiting for you to answer a few questions already posted. Hope to hear back from you soon.

Off track on the comment, apologies offered. I have two different holsters coming, both kydex. Some 9mm coming as well. Just received the rubber adapt. (OpSol?) for shotgun wells to fire mini shotgun shells. Bought the LED follower that lights and readily visible when last round ejected, made of delrin, LEDs are not worthy of your hard earned cash in this application. The LED doesn't work after a few blips, although delrin is a nice follower for it's own properties. Buy without the lights, 1/2 the cost. If it's not 1/2 the price shop elsewhere, lots of better followers out there.

Chain saw and generator goodness, nice !!! You are worthy of high praise, I'm lacking a chain saw, hmm. I'm guessing with all the rest of the crap befalling us we going to get whacked this hurricane season. I need a chain saw and a freezer.
