Finally a better quality and affordable hawk from a US hawk maker. Much, Much better than those attempts that come out of India, Pakistan, and China. <thumbsup>
I sure am glad you put this one out there. Just got one out the door for $65.87 total which is probably more than 1/2 price off. I probably never would've discovered this one until long after it was too late. Thanks again !!! <thumbsup>
Now the more I think about it the better I like this. I can use a clamp-on front sight block on the 20" upper I am going to build and have a better selection of who's gas black to buy and will have a much smoother upper for mounting of the scope I want to buy. Won't have to drill the barrel for a gas block that should work great.
Happy as all get-out here.
I cannot tell if this is the proper rear sight for the front sight above. Any suggestions ... ???

EDIT: And now that I think about it ... I wonder if this would work with the A2 carry handle for the AR10 if the picatinny gas block is NOT of the same height?
The A2 carry handle for my .308 build came in today along with the Ergo vice block I ordered. Surprised it showed up today as I wasn't expecting it until Tuesday.
I fully agree with you on the holidays. May your friend rest in peace. I'm sure he'll be with you always like all the rest of the Vietnam veterans that never came home; they will also be with us always.
Oh yes. That's going to look great. <thumbsup>
Thanks for posting the pics. Please keep this updated.
I'm still a little ways behind you. One of my barrels should be here Tuesday.
I decided to build the carbine first then later when I decide on a better barrel I'll do another upper in 20". I forgot I had previously bought an upper receiver about a year ago. Found it when going thru the parts bin and a light bulb went on.
Got several parts due in Tuesday. I'll post up when they get here and I sort everything out.
Glad to hear this is working out. Keep us informed on how this continues to develop. By all means enjoy your weekend. Unfortunately I will be on call starting this Friday thru next Friday.
