    Intro

Howdy from the Texas side of the border and thank you for your service.
  2. You mean this problem: Word for word from the Cornell Law Library Former United States Attorney General Michael Mukasey tells MSNBC that not only is Hillary Clinton's private email server illegal, it "disqualifies" her from holding any federal office. Such as, say, President of the United States. Very specifically points to one federal law, Title 18. Section 2071 (Concealment, removal, or mutilation generally) For those of us who do not have United States Code committed to memory, here's what it says: “(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both. (b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.” Yes, it explicitly states "shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."
  3. Damn, you are right. No Americans in that group. But some are here illegally.
  4. Personally I would like to see the list of Hitlary's donors put on a list so they can not buy weapons and placed on a priority list for deportation.
  5. I have a UTG scope on my .308 (a 6-24x56 30mm) that has been absolutely solid and held zero through one hunting season and several hundred rounds on the range. I also have a 2-16x44 30mm UTG on my 5.56 that has also been a performer. They don't have quite as bright glass as on the Vortex PST 6-24x50 that I have on the 30.06, but are very close. Your results may vary.
  6. Welcome from the Texas side of the border. You will get a lot of help here, I know I did.
  7. Howdy from the Texas side of the border.
  8. I got a couple of blemished .308 lowers from Daytona Tactical for $99 each. They are 7075 and very minor blemishes.
  9. That really isn't funny!
  10. Oh, you mean the communists in the Soviet Union and the Nazis in Germany took guns away from the population? Oh yes, they did, din't they!
  11. Disney tries to "manage" them by having Florida Fish and Wildlife "relocate" the ones that grow to over 4-feet. It is literally impossible to eradicate them, at one time they were protected. They are often found in car ports, swimming pools, ponds, decorative water features, water retention ponds and ditches, or roaming neighborhoods making local dogs and cats into meals. They can travel long distances overland, and they run very fast.
  12. I got it from Northern tool since they shipped it to the local store and I didn't have to pay shipping. Most of these mini mills are made by Seig in China (Grizzley, Harbor Freight, and other brands) and are mostly the X2 model but some have slightly different accessories and different paint jobs. Basically it has a two speed setup, 0-1100 rpm and 0-2500 rpm. Having no real machining experience I watched several You Tube presentations on general machining and specifically on machining 80% lowers. The hardest part is truing the mill with the vise in place so you can easily follow either lines scribed on the lower or a jig template. For me the secret was to go slow and to use the stop to ensure that I didn't go too deep. I bought carbide end mills and they went through even the 7075 aluminum like butter as well as a set of collets to use rather than a chuck, and a milling vise. I did both aluminum and polymer lowers. For the aluminum have a vacuum available to get the chips out. The polymer lowers are a bit more difficult to manage the shreds which tend to get stuck in the flutes if you have too high a rotational speed. You have to try it and it gets pretty obvious by feel and sound when you are getting into trouble. Just cut conventionally and finish with a climb cut (watch the videos to find the difference). It is a nice way to pass an afternoon, but it is like lays potato chips, you can't have just one! There are a multitude of add ons for these machines and can go all the way to a CNC setup. I have found a number of other uses in making odd parts or making special parts or tools to use for assembling rifles. I wish I had time to fool around with it more but until I retire (probably not for another 5 or 6 years) I just don;t have the time to push this hobby. Enjoy. Also, look around on the littlemachineshop.com to get an idea of what is available.
  13. In Florida, where there is fresh water there are gators. Lived there over twenty years on two tours and there were gators everywhere. Once on a golf course in Orlando we watched a mama gator rush out of a pond and run down and catch a rabbit on a fairway. She had a mess of babies who had recently hatched and the rabbit was dinner. We didn't look for any golf balls in that pond!
  14. I recently bought a mini mill and some 80% lowers so that all of my ARs (one AR308 and 2 AS15s) would be ghost guns. Since I expected to make some mistakes I got a couple of extra 80% lowers and they are looking for a home. Now in looking around I had enough parts laying around to complete one AR308 low and one AR15 lower and have an upper for each and even a BCG for the 308. I was thinking about whether I should get a 6.5 Creedmore barrel with extension for the AR308 lower (the only thing left is a barrel and compensator - I do have a gas block and a couple of gas tubes) and possibly a 6.8 SPC barrel and BCG for the AR15. What do you think? Suggestions.
  15. What has the ACLU ever done that benefited regular Americans?
  16. Howdy from the Texas side of the border.
  17. Absolutely. Despite accusing Trump of dividing the country, the communists absolutely depend on division, rich and poor, race, religion or no religion ( I do not include Islam as a religion, it is a cult and a system, just like Nazism), section of country, educational level, etc. They can't survive without the division and its emotional content because the logic of their system is absurd.
  18. Another issue is that our young are being programmed to be sheep. There were over 300 in that night club and one gunman. Even unarmed, five or ten determined to survive could have rushed and subdued the gunman, particularly since he had to reload. Regardless of whether you say that this is because of the "lifestyle" of those in the club, the fact is that America's youth are being taught to report bullies rather than standing up to them. When I was in high school there were those that we called "hoods" with the black clothing, ducktail haircuts, cigarette packs tucked in the sleeve, who were the primary bullies of the day. I was taught to stand up for myself, and since I was a nerd and a jock (OK an unusual combination) who was thin and wore glasses, I was picked on until I kicked the poop out of two or three of them (my great uncles were Fritzie and Jack Zivic and the rest of the Zivic brothers who taught me to fight). Today, I would probably have been kicked out of school for the same thing because standing up for ourselves does not fit with the communist philosophy that dominates education at all levels. My kids were taught the same thing that I was, but they are moving into their late 30s - this new generation doesn't seem to have much of a shot at survival, at least as free individuals that can make their own decisions.
  19. The media is making a big deal out of his purchasing the weapons he used legally. They are; however, ignoring the fact that criminals (yes, I would classify terrorists as criminals) have no problem obtaining weapons, from the street corner, from the mosque, or any other source. If we can't keep illegal individuals out of the country, or illegal drugs out of the country; how would they propose we keep weapons (if made illegal) out of the country. No, this is simply using the deaths of those in the night club as an argument for gun control so that the communists can impose their rule on the citizens of the US.
  20. And the Pens take the cup back to Pittsburgh!!!!!! Steelers next!
  21. From what I have read so far, the perp was not a "civilian" in the sense of not having access to weapons or training regardless of gun control. The Senator's statements are simply a script that the communists (I have given up the nonsense of referring to the Democrat party, it no longer exists as an American institution) will continually use until they can pack the Supreme Court to eliminate the second amendment and legislate a gun confiscation program. I doubt that she said anything about the perp being an Islamic terrorist as that is not in the script.
  22. Or the Telemundo photog setting up a shot with a kid at a Trump demonstration. The media is nothing more than a mass brainwashing exercise with an agenda set by the democommies.
  23. Howdy from the Texas side of the border. I have mixed dominance so I also shoot left handed but my 5.56s and 7.62s all have deflectors and I have never had an issue. If the rig has an adjustable gas block you should be able to adjust it. I have been able to do that on both my front line 5.56 and 7.62.

  25. So, liberal media breaks federal law with impunity. What is new here?
