  1. I don't know how many of you are familiar with The Gun Collective channel on Youtube, but there's a pretty good video on there about this very topic.
  2. What's the advantage of the spring being braided?
  3. Guru - good call. I plan on just getting a low profile gas block to hide under my handguard to avoid all that stuff.
  4. Welcome aboard from a fellow Virginian(currently misplaced).
  5. Many thanks.
  6. It seems that gas blocks are the same for .308 AR barrels and .223/5.56 barrels, so long as diameters match. For instance, I have an AP barrel with a .750 diameter. Can I put any .750 gas block on it, or is there such a thing as a .308 specific gas block?
  7. For reasons known only to the dark gods of the internet or perhaps the mods of the forum, this is no longer an issue.
  8. I'm having problems logging into the site from home. I can login at work no problem, but when I'm at the house I get told my IP has been banned. Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated.
  9. I've gotten 9mm and 223 reman from them. They both shot reliably, the .223 grouped well enough at 100 yds(the furthest my local range has). I don't think I'll win any long range bullseye matches with it, but it works for range ammo and the price is good.
  10. Now it makes more sense. It's much appreciated. Crappy of them to do that, but makes sense.
  11. Why would this be a phishing attempt? I'm not trying to argue, just kind of confused as to what there is to gain from lying about having a rifle build or asking for magazine blueprints.
  12. Good looking knife!
  13. I'd love to see that too, but investigating hacking is time and training intensive. Then there's jurisdictional issues involved with the location of the criminal, location of the things that got hacked, etc etc. If a hacker has three brain cells to rub together attribution can be close to impossible. ID theft often times runs along the same lines. Not in all cases, but most. Data breaches happen so often and on such a huge scale the Fed can't investigate them all. I hate to sound like a Debbie Downer, but the level of prosecution and investigation this kind of thing deserves just isn't possible.
  14. I find the magazine an interesting read. Sure, it's not always 100% award winning writing, but it's more interesting than some of the other gun rags out there and most of the articles discuss things more in my wheel house.
  15. Semper Fidelis
  16. When I'm CONUS I'm in that same neck of the woods! Welcome aboard!
  17. That's understandable, I'd hate to see you get canned for that. But still, pretty freakin' cool. Hopefully a tree hugging hippie somewhere burst into tears at the green house gases that were emitted.
  18. Seriously, those things are crazy loud. How did you end up with a NASCAR starting up in your warehouse?
  19. My other hobbies? I am the family IT support desk, I like to lift, run and read up on current events. I used to be into NASCAR but the new rule changes this year kind of ticked me off and I'm not sure I like where it's heading anymore.
  20. No worries, I didn't find that snarky. It's much appreciated!
  21. Gotcha. Got any tips for getting those things timed correctly?
  22. Looks like I learned something today, thanks!. Time to start doing some more research.
  23. What do you mean by "timed"?
  24. I watched this this morning. Laughed my butt off!!
