  1. European plate and in some European counties, green is “petrol”
  2. I doubt I will be as lucky being in as good of shape as you are in just 25 years. Lol
  3. Al I didn’t know you were that old. You look pretty damn good for a geriatric 🤣
  4. Good idea sending it back to them. If they can’t or won’t fix it, let us know and we will do our best to help you get it running for you.
  5. Maybe it is just because my area is full of oak trees that create a lot of crunch
  6. Thanks @dpete, your testimony is good enough for me.... but without the muffs, can you still hear dear walking through the woods often times before seeing them? Or am I just the only one here that isn’t completely deaf? 🤣

  8. The thing you have to realize is people here are more than willing to take their own risks in some form or another, but they aren’t going to suggest someone else do something that could be risky. This is a place of learning safely about firearms and we pride ourselves in coming up with solutions to building functional firearms and sharing the facts. Nobody wants to create a bad reputation for the forum here.
  9. Maybe I am just dumb but I would have shot it by hand. Lol. Should have seen the things we shot in Afghanistan that were confiscated, now some of those were scary. I get “the forum” saying it isn’t an approved and supported thing. Good thing I am just a member and not admin... I always say, “send it.” Then again I might be a little bit of a hill billy these days. 🤣
  10. So did you have the headspace fixed though?

My wife was going off of a recipe she found, which had us soak the roast in a marinade over night. So it wasn’t a brine. Ignore my comment from the canning thread, didn’t see this. Smoking fish is one thing I want to get into often. Wife and I love the taste of smoked fish.
  15. You know guys, ever since I joined this forum, I have gained weight. No wonder with threads like this. Lol
  16. That sounds good. Have you smoked that before?
  17. Got my parts yesterday for my 6mm arc build. Still need upper and lower receiver, gas block. handguard, stock, trigger, and pistol grip. The last 3 will be purchased soon from Larue Tactical. Other stuff either have to decide what I want or hope I can find it in stock

not the best picture but it turned out so moist and amazing. also I was using multiple timers on my phone.
  19. Must be nice
  20. you really are deaf already because I hear them walking all the time and in gun season they are always running because of the pressure of the season so it is really easy to hear them. I hear the squirrels and other stuff too which sometimes tricks me, but most of the deer I have shot I have actually heard before I saw them.
  21. @98Z5V those won’t work to well for hunting around Wisconsin. We usually hear deer long before we see them. It’s not like more open areas where you are glassing for animals. Even in areas like mine where you can get some 300 yard shots sometimes, you will still hear the deer first because of the deciduous forests we have. The forest floor is noisy as hell. As a kid I was even taught to never even cover my ears with a hat in the cold for this very reason. It was always do nothing to impede your hearing.

Yeah i need to do that. The wife shredded it today and it was amazing! Next time will have to be more prepared and have better timing. I will show the picture when the wife sends it to me of it nicely shredded. I did wrap it in tinfoil after 5 hours because I am not really into the outer crust. I am very happy with the final product. the venison roast didn’t turn out as good but it still tasted good and the neck did have a lot of gristle
  23. I think he is possessed
  24. Yeah I miss the military every single day but there are give and takes, especially with the way the world is today
  25. The car-10 xh 6.5 ounce buffer and spring should work for your 7 inch carbine buffer tube, otherwise to go up in weight you would need to go to the extended receiver extension. I wouldn’t go lighter than the 6.5 ounce though.
