  1. Registration is the first step in confiscation( or at least the attempt) One of the issuse the current government up here face after making a number of guns prohibited is that the majority are non restricted and thus no registration nor a need for a seller to keep a record of who bought it. There was a 2 year 'amnesty' which has already been extended as the government tries to figure out a plan. The first problem is the claim it will cost 600M tto implement by a think tank using New Zeland as an example figures 3-5Billion with 20% compliance( the registered stuff). The second problem is don't offer enough compensation then most of the non registered stuff will simply disapear. Not to mention a lot of ARs(registered) will be stripped down as only the stripped lowers are the 'actual' gun by Canadian law. Registration leads to confiscation
  2. Top one is my work watch, started off as my dive watch. It's going on 25 years now and the rotating bezal no longer works. The second one is my day to da watch which I actually found diving. It's a local Vancouver Company that is still in business but had to change their name when the city of St. Moritz got upset.
  3. Not sure if it's availible on Prime.com, but Zombeaver is avalible on Prime.ca. Maybe a screening in the desert at fall shoot? Watch the movie to see what doesn't work... Red line shows great white shark Mary Lee’s position , far inside St. Helena Sound, this is from a great white with a tracker
  4. Beavers are smart so they'll get the shark to swim up into an inlet then close the dam behind it. For bonus points they'll plan it for high tide but leave a small opening to drain the enclosed inlet as the tide goes out. Now the shark is in water to shallow to swim in and when the zombie apocalypse happens it's not the human zombies you need to worry about...
  5. If you get a chance to watch Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence starring David Bowie as a WW2 POW in Japan it further showes the man's range of talent
  6. All the more reason Canadian Combat Engineers have the beaver rather than traditional animal such as lions, eagles, horses etc represent them.
  7. Me to it's been a long wait.
  8. Welcome from BC
  9. Lucky for our brother in Arizona that beavers will not form an alliance with snakes but more importantly I know the beaver's kryptonite Now I'm not claiming to be a beaver whispers as much as I'd like to have that on a buisness card
  10. Combine that skill set with jump qualified beavers and beavers are working their way closer to Arizona.... coincidence ?
  11. I'm going to tag on to the learning part. Just ordered a melting pot, ingot mold and putting together a list plus reading up on bullet casting. With everything going on up here, adding another process 'in-house' makes sense. Talked to my local scrap metal guy and he's open to setting aside lead for me. There is also a local gunsmith that does a lot of cowboy action stuff and sells refined lead.
  12. That's a great story!
  13. Not to mention the sheer number of troops required to simply control the people. According to Police Blue Nation there are more than 900,000 sworn law enforcement officers now serving in the United States. So I wonder how many toops would be needed to try and control then add in the number of troops needed in an administrative/support?
  14. Congrats brother The placement of the camera and flashing a bit of leg, I didn't even notice the shirt...
  15. Great video, saving this one
  16. A great story to be told around a campfire
  17. All my heros are the guys we left behind- David Chow https://globalnews.ca/video/5340723/all-my-heroes-are-the-guys-we-left-behind-army-veteran-george-chow-remembers-juno-beach/ Probably the best known Canadian at D-Day was James Doohan aka Scotty of Star Trek born in Vancouver BC. At the beginning of World War II, Doohan joined the Royal Canadian Artillery and was a member of the 14th (Midland) Field Battery, 2nd Canadian Infantry Division.[9] He was commissioned a Lieutenant in the 14th Field Artillery Regiment of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division. He was sent to England in 1940 for training. He first saw combat landing at Juno Beach on D-Day. Shooting two snipers, Doohan led his men to higher ground through a field of anti-tank mines, where they took defensive positions for the night. Crossing between command posts at 23:30 that night, Doohan was hit by six rounds fired from a Bren gun by a nervous Canadian sentry:[2] four in his leg, one in the chest, and one through his right middle finger. The bullet to his chest was stopped by a silver cigarette case given to him by his brother.[7] His right middle finger had to be amputated, something he would conceal on-screen during most of his career as an actor.[10] Doohan graduated from Air Observation Pilot Course 40 with eleven other Canadian artillery officers[11] and flew Taylorcraft Auster Mark V aircraft for 666 (AOP) Squadron, RCAF as a Royal Canadian Artillery officer in support of 1st Army Group Royal Canadian Artillery. All three Canadian (AOP) RCAF squadrons were crewed by artillery officer-pilots and accompanied by non-commissioned RCA and RCAF personnel serving as observers.[12][13] Although he was never actually a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, Doohan was once labelled the "craziest pilot in the Canadian Air Force". In the late spring of 1945, on Salisbury Plain north of RAF Andover, he slalomed a plane between telegraph poles "to prove it could be done", earning himself a serious reprimand.
