  1. I run DeWalt at home and the work truck comes with Milwaukee. I'm happy with both and can't go wrong with either. For the most part stuff is similar but certain tools one is better then other as to balance, feel and small features. This is more with the specialized/less homeowner focused tools. Once you get the basic starter kit with charger/battery you are good to go and can buy just the stripped tool as needed( cordless circular saws are so much nicer then corded, cordless vacuum is nice for cleaning as you go ) also there are aftermarket battery packs available much cheaper( do your online research prior to buying). For battery use/long life, heat is the enemy both in use and in charging. I tend to swap out my batteries at the 50% charge mark.I have 4yo batteries still good( used daily in industrial setting) One plus I like with DeWalt is that when they upgraded their batteries they made an adapter so I can use my older 18V stuff with the new 20V battery packs. Forgot to add- take a look at cordless tire inflators for each( seeing as you have the 4x4. I have the DeWalt, can't comment on the Milwaukee.
  2. True power lies not with the King but the man that whispers in the King's ear. An added plus is the peasants always blame the King
  3. That just looks like a whole lot of fun in a convenient sized package

  6. In this case brother i got your back and when I say back I mean way back loading artillery for indirect fire.
  7. Lucky for all involved the giant beaver is extinct...
  8. I think we could rig all the switches to some sort of random function generator, so every time he flicked a switch he'd have no idea what it will do.
  9. Welcome from BC FYI it doesn't stop at just one...
  10. Should we have expected any less from @Rsquared thread?
  11. Went so far sideways we just ended right back where we started...
  12. Rant on brother I had one of those poorly cut tails jam underneath a fingernail. There are only 3 Eric approved methods to cutting the tails flush on my jobs/crews and you're only allowed to use 1(flush cutters) until you demonstrate you can do the other two correctly.( linesman or side cutters)
  13. Just want to point out another example of his attention to detail, I'm also betting he did it without really thinking about it. Did anyone one else notice or was is it a Ron/Eric thing?. The tyee wraps( aka zap straps, zip ties etc) Look at how they are not only placed symmetrically but the 'heads' are all the same in orientation and direction. Again it takes the same amount of time and effort as randomly placing them , yet the randomly placed ones you may not be aware but at a subconscious level your brain will tell you something is off. Story- came home and neighbor across the way had attached a piece of plexiglass to the black wrought iron gate to stop his puppy from escaping. He committed two cardinal sins 1) never trimmed the 'tails' 2) used white straps. Two days later ran into said neighbor and all he said was "It does look better now" Simply stating the facts
  14. My experience it's usually the engineers that over engineer/over complicate stuff. If he'd ' over engineered' ( aka properly wired) your basement then you wouldn't need to kick someone in the dick
  15. I'm almost afraid to say the words 'panel porn'
  16. Had you used Class 1 Div 1 rated fittings 'cause that's what is laying around, there might be accusations of possible overkill note- Class I locations are those in which flammable "gases or vapors" are, or may be, present in the air in quantities sufficient to produce explosive or ignitible mixtures
  17. and you'll end up paying one way or another... there is a built in hidden cost surcharge on redheads.
  18. Hello from BC
  19. You had me at the unistrut and emt, the lights are just the chocolate fudge sundae. Is it overkill?I say no, If I had any say in residential wiring code, things would be way different, I'll work on my on stuff( similar time frame as above ) but do not enjoy dealing with pre existing residential wiring
