Thanks, I have a Ruger mini14 GB model that looks like the AC 5.56, but it's semi.. I was told they used them in Viet Nam. That bottom one is a Mini 30. I bought it for the grandson to hunt with but after shooting it I scratched that idea. I couldn't get no better than about 6 inch pattern at about 70 yards. But I was shooting some Russian made stuff too. they have a lot better selection of hunting ammo for 7.62x39 now.

Thanks, The update done the trick.

Mine shoot the 150 grain Winchester deer season xp's without any problem.

I think a carbine would be a much more enjoyable experience if he is new to the AR platform. He can do more with it like scopes and being able to shoot farther with more accuracy. My pistol is fine for about 25 to 50 yards, beyond that it sucks. it has a 10.5 barrel. plus you can't shoot the damn thing without ear protection. now target shooting that's fine, I don't want to wear any hunting. I originally bought it to use as a home defense gun. after firing it I can't imagine shooting it in an enclosed building without hearing protection.. Guess a forward blast muzzle device would help.

I have never had this happen on any diamondback. even from new status I could always eject a round by hand easy. Next I would try a different round. I hunted with one last year that only had about 30 rounds through it and I unloaded it every time I came back to camp. never a problem. Now AR10's are a little harder to pull back than it's little brother.

I have five DB10's and never had a problem, did you buy it new?. it may just need a good chamber cleaning. I have seen this happen where coated ammo was shot and the coating came off in the chamber and it was hard to eject. even had to mortar one round. Try a chamber brush and see if that helps.

Maybe just me but if I was goin with the 16 inch barrel it would be a carbine. That long of barrel kinda defeats the pistol for me. but that's just me. but I am biased. I really don't care much for the ar pistols.

Complete rifles for 439. this one is tempting. https://www.primaryarms.com/bear-creek-arsenal-ar15-rifle-16in-7.62x39-carbine-length-hbar-m-lok-rail

I would really like to have a scar, but I can't justify the price.
-
They better be good for the price their giving them.

It's definitely compact, looks like it might be easy to get the fingers in front of the muzzle. but it's probably different holding it.
-
Nice, what sights you goin with?
-
So it never jammed again? that's weird. I know how ya feel thou. I wouldn't know what to to with it now.

That's awesome, keep up the fight.

Yes I have a few of them, they work. also a great company. I just posted about their customer service on 30full. this is it and two other companies. I have to brag on these three companies First is Hexmag, I ordered a couple of their mags and they came in and they had the restrictor plate in them. they were only 15 rounds and I thought I was ordering the 30 round. I didn’t order from them directly, I think it was midway. anyway I ordered the wrong one. it was my fault. so I have a couple 30 round mags that will only hold 15. the only thing that I needed was a spring. So I e mailed hexmag and they never responded. A few days later I e mailed them again. I was asking if I could just buy a couple springs. About three days later I get a call from the president of hexmag. He apologized for not answering the first e mail. I told him not a problem and explained i ordered the wrong mag and wanted to buy a couple springs. he said they can’t sell the springs but since we didn’t answer your e mails i’m going to send you three 30 round mags free. I said WOW, you don’t have to do that it was my fault on ordering them, he said we take care of our customers and ask me what color i wanted. i told him and not long they come in the mail. I told him that was mighty nice what you’re doin and thanked him. Soon after i made a purchase of several of their mags in 308 and 223. Next is Leapers, I have their accu shot scope on a 300 blackout and was hunting in a ground blind one morning and didn’t see anything i wanted to shoot and unloaded the gun and leaned it against the blind inside so i could unzip it to get out. well the gun fell over and the scope landed on a shooting stick laying on the ground. it broke the scope cover. it’s a weird shaped scope on the front and cover is odd shaped. I e mailed UTG and ask to purchase a cover. The next day i got a call from them, She said we can’t sell just the cover but if you give me your address i will send you one out. I explained it was my fault and she said not a problem. i’ll get it in the mail. few days later i got it. Now Buck knives, I had a buck clip on knife and the screws come loose on the clip and i lost a couple of them. Again i e mailed buck to buy some screws, got an e mail back that day and they wanted my address and said they would send some out free. I thanked them and sure enough a few days they sent me a clip and screws. I put Loctite on these I just wanted to brag on these guys and will continue to buy their products.

that be the truth right there.

If you have the old style lower, that is your problem. I will measure my older Armalite and see what it reads and measure the catches on both style magazines.

That's a lot of rounds in a pistol in an afternoon, what caliber? if it's a 44 mag, I bow down to you.😂
