  1. I didnt measure. If there was a taper it wasnt visible
  2. I noticed these at Brownells this evening. Thought some here might find it appealing
  3. Brownells has BAT MACHINE 308 barrel extensions
  4. Nice, That AR is a beauty <thumbsup>
  5. Good move. You going to mention the fit issue?
  6. It's seems strange to see the G3 mags in place. Nice rifle.
  7. I stickied this topic for the benefit of others
  8. sweet <thumbsup>
  9. good to see you back man
  10. No threaded muzzle. I can get it pinned and welded out of state but....
  11. Madhouse asked me to pass the first picture along. Said it's going well but he should have brought a hedge trimmer
  12. A good friend who works in the industry says great things about the 5.56 version. Brownells has positive reviews here. Sadly I will never own one here in CT :'(
  13. I really try to be impartial about the various brands but man DPMS is making a strong case to put on the avoid list for those that like to tinker. I did the SASS barrel and gas block just to see it all first hand. Fortunately I got a deal on the barrel that somewhat offset the stupid price of the gas block.
  14. Going to take A LOT of shooting (and cash) to burn out a steel gas block. Dont sweat it.
  15. I moved this thread to the Colfax board now that we have one. <thumbsup>
  16. ummmm TFO??? <thumbsup> Truglo fiber optic?
  17. I think the manufacturers of barrels and gas blocks state .750 and .936 as to keep it simple for everyone. If you look at the actual specs the sizes vary a bit but we never see this problem of fit. The problem is DPMS trying to change the game so their weapons are proprietary. Unfortunately the problems don't show up until guys already have the DPMS hardware.
  18. Dont hurt yourself around the "Big Guns" <lmao>
  19. Any experiences, thoughts or opinions on which brand?
  20. While I understand your disappointment JD's design pre dates the PMAGs availability. Cant totally fault them if they built their lower around the better of the mags available at the time. Sounds like a reason for another build to me. <thumbsup>
  21. welcome
  22. I would call to see if they really have it available.
