  14. awesome!
  15. There are serial number lists, some factories can provide info and some manufacturers were out of business before the ban. The one you have I have only seen mentioned on the AR15.com list which has no info on it.
  16. excellent choice!!! Curiously why would it be your last 40? I believe in standardizing calibers to keep my ammo needs simple. That why most of handguns are 9mm, 40S&W and .45 acp. I dont count the .380's, .38/.357's,32 mag, 44mag <lmao>
  17. Not sure if you saw my post in the Pact/ATC section but the triggers will be available shortly anyhow.
  18. I know there have been some positive comments here about the Rainier Select but personally I would go up to a Rainier Ultra Match or a Fulton Criterion. Both are made from known premium blanks. The selects are hit and miss like other similarly priced barrels. Ultra Match Shilen Criterion is Krieger. jmho Also a Fulton upper will give you more handguard options thana DPMS
  19. DPMS could not get me a barrel in one year
  20. very nice
  21. Please all things being equal dont forget to give Brownells a shot too. They help keep the lights on here along with the other companies listed on the right side of the forum. <thumbsup> "This public service announcement brought to you by the 308ar.com shameless advertising spammig admin human who eats ramen noodles so he can operate this site" ;D
  22. I am always on the lookout for excellent condition preban AR-15's and lower receivers. They must be CT preban which was enacted slightly before the Federal AWB. Date can be determined by serial number. The date needs to be pre Sept 1993. Typically I am looking at Bushmaster, Olympic Arms, PWA, Eagle Arms, Frankford Arsenal and Essential Arms Colts are not allowed regardless of date. 23. Nah the heat with the Black Talons as over the use of "Black" in the name. Winchester later released them (nearly identical) under a different name without the black coating or black in the name and nobody cared.
