  1. I'm considering an SPR-like build, that could be useful.
  2. It's still on the rifle, I'll see what I can do.
  3. They look great! I'm not sure about that square-trigger configuration though, that would feel funny. I'm very curious as to what purpose that serves... <dontknow>
  4. I actually buffooned the previous post up, it's a 24" fluted barrel, it's a stocker from DPMS. They're selling replacements for $365 and shipping. Given that mine has a little under 500 rounds through it, I'd sell it for $300 + shipping cost.
  5. Actually, I think a full length FFT on an 18" barrel sets you up for a nice SPR-looking mod. I'm throwing around some ideas for a .308 SPR tribute.
  6. Yeah, I'd like to know the monolithic price as well, it's got to be more affordable than the LBC I was checking out...
  7. $3690, Scope and rings are optional. I'm tempted to rant and rave about the cost but I know I'm going to just buy it anyways, so maybe I should save my strength for running from my wife when she finds out. You can also go with the "Ultimate Sniper" package (not monolithic but nice all the same) with custom muzzle brake for $3290.
  8. It's like you're reading my mind... :o
  9. Welcome to the forums. You need to get up with 98Z5V, he's our resident purchasing consultant. Just tell him you have a roll pin you don't know what to do with, and stand back and watch the fireworks.
  10. It's pricey coolade, but darned if it's not more addictive than whiskey....
  11. Wow, I cracked a few ribs I laughed so hard!!! I'll send ya the bill... LOL

    My POF build

    Nice!!! 8) Eye candy... *drools*
  13. I'm pretty sure I was supposed to have been born in a different time, 'cause these days everything I believe is real 'Old fashioned' to mainstream culture. It's a sad era in human history when the only place you can find an honest politician is on your currency.
  14. Ya know, to a gun lover this reads like a friggin personal ad. <laughs> Anyways, welcome to our forums, you will find no lack of humor here. <thumbsup>
  15. Yeah, you're in the crowd of people whose expertise is in the field of cultivating marriages and gun collections at the same time <laughs> <lmao> Well, here's my .02, buy her something equally expensive, then she has no choice but to let you have your toys too. <thumbsup>
  16. Why? Oh wait is this the magic post? <dontknow>
  17. Welcome to America, where the good guys pay taxes & everyone else runs the government.
  18. I agree with you about pricing concerns and whatnot, but if you hang out long enough in places like Snipers Hide, you'll find out really quickly that the hardcore shooters don't seem to be even slightly concerned about what they're spending on hardware. Larue and POF and LMT all have no shortage of demand and because of their pricing, don't have more demand than they can keep up with, so they're pretty much exactly where they want to be. We budget people just have to budget till we can afford to buy that hardware at the most reasonable price we can find it for.
  19. It's very simple, I did a how-to for a FFT install here a while back, it included removing the FFT, and you can read that thread here. or http://308ar.com/forum/index.php/topic,328.msg2218.html#msg2218
  20. I use the LT-158 because it gives a good clearance for say a 50mm objective lens. That and it had to be QD.... Here's the page for the LT-158 http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=42
  21. That's a sweet rig alright, it's always that LT quick-detach scope mount that catches my eye first though. You just can't beat 'em.
  22. I'm not to thrilled with the stock fluted 20" that came with my current gun, I'm wanting to go slightly shorter and this sounds right up my alley. What do you need to get out of it Jgun?
  23. I used a strap wrench on mine. It unscrews in the typical counter-clockwise fashion. you may have to heat the back of the FFT right there at the receiver with a heat gun or some such to help break the loctite on the threads.
  24. Sweet!!! So, mid length or rifle-length gas system?
  25. If TacBlade doesn't take this off your hands, I might. What length gas system does it use?
