  1. I have a JP adjustable and the DPMS LR308 standard beast, you can have the beast for shipping cost, I'd take $100 for the JP + shipping.
  2. No, that's alright, I don't really need to know more than that. It's possible that someone swapped out an aftermakerket lower into their AR and simply sold or swapped that lower to the vendor. Then again, it may simply be that a few receivers intended for builds had to be subbed for a kit receiver shortage at DPMS. I can imagine quite a few scenarios that explain your anomaly.
  3. Honestly, if I had to put up with that crap, I'd be VERY motivated to find a gun-friendly state. Maybe you love where you live and I understand that, but what they put you through to own a firearm is just frankly pathetic. How have we as american citizens let ourselves give up so much ground when it comes to our right to keep and bear arms?
  4. Yes and yes.
  5. I agree with you that it's probably unneeded, but in the event you had to swap barrels, you can push the barrel back out of the receiver with a press. Edited for spelling.
  6. Not necessarily suprising, may I ask where you bought it from?
  7. I'd like to start a thread of good guys here from the forum I've had positive experiences dealing with, hopefully this can be stickied for future use and reference. Bought from: Dan Haaf - DPMS Kit Lower - Everything went perfect. Keith (TANGO2072) - Magpul PRS for AR10 - Excellent in every respect, perfect sale, perfect buy, Keith is good people. Dave (branson1369) - MA-TEN Monolithic set - Dave is just awesome to do business with, there are just some people who make it easy for you to give them your business and dave is one of those people who will retain mine. Sold to: Stu (capt9859) - Complete DPMS Lower - Stu is a great buyer, good to go. Mike (M1P) - 24" BBL DPMS Complete Upper - Mike is quite simply the man, that's all there is to say. So there's a start, keep it going as you buy and sell.
  8. Never heard it said better.
  9. BWAHHAAHHAA! <lmao> You're terminal son, denial is the first stage, telling yourself you'll beat it is the last. ;D
  10. I don't think wood is dead or even dying, my Dad just gave me a set of Blackie Collins rosewood 1911 grips that I will be installing rather than the Pachmeyer tactical grips that are on it. I love wood, especially walnut, nothing looks better on a dress gun than wood.
  11. Speak for yourself, I've been butthurt for the last 2 days because of his reply. <laughs> <lmao> ;) Totally just kidding, I thought KellyTTE's reply was good stuff.
  12. That's a good principle, my little guy is only 2 so he's still a bit young to understand, but when he demonstrates good enough comprehension, I will begin his gun safety indoctrination. My dad taught me from as early as I can remember, and I want my kid to be able to say he doesn't remember ever NOT knowing how to safely handle weapons. I remember being just a tiny little fella looking wide-eyed into gun display cases in gun stores when I was little, and the clerks would always cajole my dad into letting me hold whatever I was looking at. I would always make a show of pointing it in a safe direction first, and only then check it out. Dad always got an approving look from the clerk, with an 'atta boy' wink for the little guy practicing gun safety. Anyways, you guys have got me thinking about what kind of supplies are practical to stock up on.
  13. In this case, it would most likely carry over and work, unless you had a barrel profile that was just insanely large.
  14. I've not thought about it that much, I'm not too well prepared for the Zombia Apocalypse, but I could take care of a small gang. I guess I really should make up a kit to be well prepared for a SHTF situation.
  15. LOL Drew can put up a big banner that says "Welcome to Inuendo Central" at the top of the site. <dontknow> ;D
  16. Right now I don't have the luxury of accessible machine tools or I would.....
  17. That is a CLASSIC quote my friend, and I thank you for it. LOL Made my day. <thumbsup>
  18. Just wait till you see a Horus reticle, it's hard to convince yourself that someone isn't playing a major prank on you, but some people are crazy about them.
  19. I'm having a custom barrel made by Lothar Walther right now as well, you can give them as many specifics as you want and still come out with a very affordable barrel. See this thread for more info, specifically this post and that post. Visit their page here.
  20. Same dilemma, trying to choose between Fulton Armory and Rainier Arms.
  21. I'm emailing these pics to my older brothers who all think they're pro deer hunters, can't wait to show them their prize kills have been smashed by this cute little girl!! <laughs>
  22. ROFL It's time for you to be self-employed ol' buddy.
  23. LOL Jump right in, so far as I know, noone here is overbearing. ;)
  24. Oddly enough, for me it was a starting point! :D
  25. Tell him not to under any circumstances fail to protect his hearing. I know too many people who let "Ol' Arty" ruin their hearing, and now they kick themselves for not doing something they considered a nuisance at the time. Glad to hear about somebody else giving part of their life to serving our country!
