  1. Oh sh!t, you're the man! That gives me a total OAL of 22" when you add a lower and a LAW Tactical adapter. I think 22" will fit in my bag. On a side note. I just got off the phone with the distributor who supplies my dept. Come to find out he's also a LWRCi pusher. In fact, he already got his hands on their brand new M6 IC 14.5" with all the enhanced options, bells and whistles that I wanted. He and I are setting a date to shoot. I promised to bring him my .308 if he brought his IC.
  2. And I threw away his "disabled vet please help" cardboard sign.
  3. I once jumped a guys sh!t for saying he was a vet. I was arresting him at the time and he was yelling about how poorly I was treating a "Disabled Vietnam Nam Veteran... That's when I finally got his age, did the math in my head, and blurted out publicly that he was only 17 when Nam ended. I then pointed out that the 4 measly years he still claimed to have served, we're non conflict years and he never put boots on a battleground... His response... "I'm a veteran of the era." I continued to publicly rip his ass in front of God and country. His night ended in lock up. I made sure to point out the flaw in his story to everyone we crossed before he could change his story. Oh, and the "disabled" portion of his story... not a military injury. It was much later, through a series of poor life choices and large quantities of drugs and alcohol, that got his dumbass injured. Fukc'em all
  4. That dent in his head was from getting interrupted during his promotion interview... When he bumped his head under the admiral's desk.
  5. Every year I take a certain member here (also my uncle) to a local gun show. I love pointing out to him everyone wearing a SF shirt/hat/pin. At some point he's going to figure out my simple pleasure of watching him grimace at strangers. He's going to read this, and I'm already laughing.... because the next gun show is only a few weeks away.
  6. THe DD Mk18 is my #1 choice right now. I'm working out the specifics on the lower still. I really wanted the AXTS, but after doing some serious soul searching, I am now considering the new LWRCi M6 IC PSD. It seems like there's no builder that has EXACTLY what I want in just one rifle. I'm seriously debating a personal build, throwing liability into the wind, just to have exactly what I want.
  7. If I remember correctly, he built two or three... His price tag was atrocious. He actually weathered the online critiquing very well... at first. Then something changed in him. He was a productive member till he flipped. He was given a lot of liberties here in hopes that more than one person wanted to shoot his behemoth. We tried to help him get off the ground. Imschur allowed him to promote and advertise his product and progress here all for free. One day he snapped, took his ball and went home. And no one missed him...
  8. HAHAHAHAHA... Now THAT is funny
  9. Granted my .308 is all NiB coated, but I shot it for 14 months without cleaning or lube. I didn't shoot 2400 rounds, but I did shoot a few hundred.
  10. I'm sure that has nothing to do with your old eyes... ha hahaha.
  11. After careful measurements, it looks like an 11.5" barrel, with an "A2-size" muzzle device, may just fit. If this is the case, screw all the above options, I'm getting the KAC SR15 upper with the URX4 and a battlecomp v2.0 I'm going to attempt to arrange a meet up with someone who owns an 11.5"
  12. If KAC or LaRue just made a 10.5" upper, my decision would have been made already. The Noveske is still just a "plan". I'm waiting on a return email to confirm it can even happen.
  13. Just get a strap on cheek riser. They are about $20-$30. http://www.blackhawk.com/product/Rifle-Cheek-Pad,605,1406.htm
  14. Not a big secret here, I'm LE. I'm currently looking to add a personal rifle to my patrol equipment. I have narrowed my options down to three possible choices. This is just for the upper receiver. I want to buy an "off the shelf" upper, strictly for liability reasons. The upper will be mated to an AXTS AX556 "Pistol" lower receiver. Due to space constraints, the complete build can only be so big.
  15. Follow the MD's advice and gets lots of rest. We'll be here when you wake up.
  16. Lucid also makes an "oiled walnut" similar to the old mil rifles... like the Garand. I'll try to weigh it ssoon.
  17. Holy sh!t yes. The wood is a LOT heavier than the old Colt plastic that was on it before. The wood + the 20" HBAR = no light work
  18. I found that the standard carbine length tube (like the ACE Entry or UBR tube), coupled with the LAW Tactical adapter, was my perfect LOP. Just wrap it with a foam sock, and maybe a cheek saddle... perfect fit for me. Although I like the idea of the sling adapter.
  19. I never noticed the ejection port cover till now... Very cool!
  20. YOU WISH!!! Get your mind out of the gutter... Here is my newest addition.... Colt A2 20" HBAR upper AAC Brakeout Armalite National Match Iron Sights Aero Precision lower with Colt LPK NM 2-Stage trigger Lucid "upgraded" walnut kit Lucid is the company that made the stock kit for the Turnbull TAR-15 and TAR-10.
  21. My wife is a hellofa shooter. I can barely afford to keep her behind the trigger. 98 and Planeflyer can attest to that... I think she burnt through an entire case of 12 guage in one sitting.
  22. That's the same weight as the MAG Tactical
  23. Colt showed up with a truck load of M4 Commandos for our local SWAT. The rep said, "shoot them dry and run them full auto. If any of them hiccup, call me and I'll replace it." None were returned. Colt is a hard working man's rifle. No fashion shows. No 3G. No super long range paper sniping. Colt has been manufacturing guns for 200 years for one purpose only, putting chunks of lead in warm flesh. Colt is not intended for 99% of the shooters out there. It is intended for the 1* crowd. The CM901 shows that Colt isn't just sitting on its laurels. They will continue to be an industry leader.
  24. That is a game changer. Colt legacy and performance, combined with LWRCi technology... Just imagine a CM901, with a REPR upper!
