  1. The 6.8 SPC is practically the .270 Winchester
  2. Lol
  3. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift, but the upper was still being released. Then it was going to be a b-day gift, but the SHOT show took priority... She has no idea this is dropping in her lap next week.
  4. I had you at the FDE...
  5. Mama has been hounding me for a rifle for some time. I take her out squirrel shooting every year, so I wanted to make sure she had something for this year... 6. The BABC makes a 14.5" bbl into a +16"
  7. If you're interested in those sights... I have a set of Troy Micro sights I might be willing to part with. I have the DiOptic rear with the HK front, both have the tritium inserts. I just looked online and Troy is selling the same set for over $300. If a member here wants them, I'll make them a much better deal. This is a rare combo. Half because it's unconventional, and half because of the cost. I love the sights, but I'm thinking of doing things differently and they don't fit in my plan any more.
  8. Did you really just repost the video from the ORIGINAL post???
  9. Says the guy with the SBR...
  10. 9mm and .40cal I think
  11. California LE is exempt from pistol regulations.
  12. I just got this in my email.... Thought I'd share with y'all Be safe!
  13. If you decide that you need a little more cheek weld, check out these: http://www.missionfirsttactical.com/Products/E-Volv-Equipment/EvolV-Battle-Stock-Attachment http://store.commandarms.com/products/saddle-fits-collapsible-stocks/
  14. I'd still like to see how something BIGGER will perform. The .45 and the slug specifically.
  15. My father said the same thing as that guy, just based at looking at the picture.... "why would I want my bullet to break apart?" Looks like the tried and true HP's prevail.
  16. Great lookin stick brother!
  17. Cera.... In that "Burnt Bronze" with either the LaRue UDE, or the MFT "Scorched Dark Earth" furniture... I really like that MFT stuff.
  18. That's sadistically exciting. Nice find!
  19. TacOps-1.... I'm just sayin' You're building a long range rifle, which means that you'll likely have a large, high power scope as well.
  20. I'd check out any of the NiB treated BCG'S and pair it with a tungsten buffer setup from heavybuffers.com
  21. No one has been able to confirm if the 5.7 is part of the "most"
  22. I'd be interested... If it were compatible with the FN Five-Seven. It's the only way I could see owning the 5.7x28. I'd carry the FN, and throw the ACP, with a couple 30rd mags, in a lightweight "Go Bag"
  23. I know of sniper schools that encourage students to cut the barrel on their own rifles. When lives are on the line... why wwould anyone risk making their rifle less accurate... unless they truly saw a difference in accuracy with a shorter barrel. Please tell me you've seen the video of Travis Haley shooting a 9", suppressed, 300Blk at +750 yards. Long barrels are sooooo 1985. Metallurgy and technology build barrels a lot different than they used to. Velocity only helps against wind and humidity... When there is a lack of either of those factors... Two barrels, of the same design and quality, but of varying lengths, the shorter wins. This all goes back to the pencil test. Take a standard pencil, and break it. Now break one of the pieces. Then try to break another one of the pieces. Every piece, as it gets shorter, gets harder to break.
  24. Yes... or that. Mixing Ford and Chevy parts can be difficult. If he isn't savvy around the bench, he may run into issues he can't diagnose.
