  1. My streak of jealousy never ends...
  2. Cerakote is a spray gun job. If you want an intricate came pattern, like Kryptek, expect to pay well over $500 or even $600 dollars to have someone make the pattern for you. Hydrodipping is a LOT less expensive, and the detail in workmanship is a lot higher resolution.
  3. <-- jealous
  4. Mossberg MVP Patrol Remington Model 7 One of those will be my next bolt rifle.
  5. I'd really like to see uppers go away from the F/A.
  6. I like that they're spreading out. I was really hoping for them to spread towards the 10/22 market. I like the concept of their grips... but I like VZ Grips a lot more.
  7. I think Jgun (is he MIA?) and I are the only guys here crazy enough to buy the carbon fiber wrapped barrel. As nice as it is, I more bought it for the gimmick than for actual use. If I had it to do over, I'd get the lightweight Fulton Armory 16" rifle length barrel. It's lighter, still high quality, and 1/3 the price.
  8. Ps. Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter.... Just think about it...
  9. No worries here brother. We don't allow wives here.
  10. I'll be first to say.... BEAUTIFUL!
  11. Gawdamn! I've heard of .097 to .1, but I've never heard of a .125! You have to be real careful when placing your block on there. You'll want to align those holes as close as possible.
  12. The targets are 50 meters. Prone targets are 1.8" and standing targets are 4.5"
  13. 3# is nothing.... It was too easy
  14. $275 for everything Here's the main part you need for your custom build. This is a DPMS/Bushmaster barrel. It is used, but is in very good condition. This barrel and bolt are "take offs" from a factory built rifle. 16" chrome lined barrel Carbine gas 1:11 Twist 5/8x24 threads M4 Contour Taper pinned FSGB This barrel comes with a matching 6.8 SPC bolt, already factory headspaced for this barrel. I will also add one Stag Arms 10 round 6.8 SPC Magazine. These magazines run approx $25 each, online. Only premium ammo (no reloads) was shot through this barrel. Specifically Remington "Premier" and Hornady "Match" and "Custom". Normal wear for about 100-200 rounds. No abuse. Just barely broken in. FREE SHIPPING for 308AR.com members (don't expect anything fancy, it's free)
  15. FWIW... It is VEEEEERRRRRRRYYYYY easy to over tighten this handguard and break it... I did :'( The stupid aluminum is so light that I just kept tightening and tightening, expecting it to come to a stop. I eventually noticed that the little locking lugs that go into the barrel nut had started bending and one had broken off. This is on a .22lr build, so I'm not too worried about it (I also dropped a bunch of $$$ to have it cerkoted to match my receivers). It just sucks that I made such a stupid rookie mistake. That's what I deserve for rushing. <nutkick>
  16. I think that TM or Aero Precision was making a CA legal rifle with all Armalite parts? You basically got an AR-10, but with a different Mfg label on it. I think it said "By Armalite" on it somewhere too.
  17. Of course he's pushing... He traded in making sense for a paycheck a LONG time ago. He's got a wallet to feed.... In his defense though... For the most part, these "hobby builds" are crap guns. I am constantly rebuilding the crap people turn over to me. In fact, when I wrote the policy for my dept's personal rifle order, I specifically excluded personal builds and modifications... Gotta worry about the liability issues with that stuff. There was a "Practical Rifle" school here locally that proved his comment. Every "hobby build" rifle failed at some point during the course of fire. All the LE guys were using their "off the shelf" rifles (mostly Colts and Sig's), and continued the course without issue.
  18. I joined them a long time ago, when I was trying to get into the Sitka Gear. After trying on the stuff I decided I didn't want to look like a fashion show... It kind of ruined my "cowboy" image. Bass Pro's "ReadHead" was a perfect match for my style... and was ridiculously inexpensive!
  19. Welcome, from the People's Republic of Commiefornia.
  20. I don't know the intricacies of the G22, I'm a Sig shooter. I prefer to smack my clients with metal vs plastic. On the flip side. The G22 is by faaaar the #1 issued pistol in Law Enforcement everywhere. If there were so many issues, I doubt there'd be so many agencies depending on them to protect their LEO's. I'd be so bold as to say it is the highest selling pistol in America. I personally don't like Glocks, but that's because I'm a stubborn nonconformist. I've shot lots of them and they all functioned flawlessly and accurately. My wife has owned several, and is deadlier than a pit viper with one on her hip.
  21. Ahahaha
  22. I have a 14.5" with carbine gas. So far I have only shot 110 and 125 grain loads. I have some Hornady 208 AMAX, but haven't launched them yet.
  23. I just stopped in at Bass Pro and picked up a whole new set of realtree. After losing 90# I looked a little silly hunting in my old XXL stuff. I grabbed a jacket, pants and a shirt for around $100... I LOVE THAT PLACE! Grabbed a pair of Vertx Kryptek pants this weekend. The highlander print is like multicam from the future. I think I have the Kryptek bug now. I'm looking at a HSP chest rig in the same print.
  24. She was 4.6# naked... I haven't weighed her since I dressed her all up.
