  1. PCP has been rearing it's ugly head again on the streets. I've fought guys on the stuff, and it is a guaranteed workout. Everyone always says a 150lbs man can fight like a 250lbs man.... Why is it that all my PCP fights are with 250+ lbs men?? It took as many as 12-15 cops taking shifts fighting the last guy. We fought him at the scene for what seemed like forever until we finally got him in the car... that was until he kicked out the window of the cruiser and tried to jump out on the freeway, then we fought him again there... Had to take him to the hospital for injuries, we fought again... It's funny how a 115 lbs female doctor, armed with a pair of syringes, can take down a guy in just seconds. If you encounter a guy on PCP, normal means of incapacitation do NOT work. The body and brain no longer communicate the same. Pain and injury no longer register to the person under the influence. Bullets will tear through soft tissue and internal organs with little to no result. Heart and lungs continue to perform until all life is drained from them. The only way to actually incapacitate is to remove the mechanical or electrical features of the body. "Mechanical" means that you have to break a lot of bones, and break them really badly. The person under the influence will continue to fight, but mechanically he will be unable to perform. Electrically can be only done in one of two ways. Severe trauma to the brain or spinal cord. I think the officer's shooting was fine. Officers are trained to shoot for center-mass. He is also trying not to shoot the cannibal's lunch, laying helplessly on the ground. A "zombie head shot" would require some pretty advanced accuracy on a moving target, with a shit ton of liability if he misses. It doesn't matter what that officer did, there will always be Monday morning quarterback who would have done something different. His final results were satisfactory to me. Often times a person under the influence of PCP can be distracted with simple devices. I have heard that a simple repeated squirts from a pepper spray can, didn't affect the suspect, but did confuse him long enough for back-up to arrive. I wouldn't trust a "distraction" over a well placed .45ACP, but if it's all I have... "Cocaine Psychosis" can be a symptom from consuming any stimulant, not just cocaine. Seeing these guys and trying to communicate with them is crazy. I see it at least once a week, and it is almost always different. I've seen "vampires", "aliens", "federal agents" and "spies". I've seen lots of "undercover cops" too. The most common one that I come across is the paranoid psychosis. Everyone is out to kill them for whatever reason their mind has wrapped around. Although mixing PCP and cocaine, amongst other narcotics, is very popular. All these stimulants, just by themselves, are ingredients to a very bad experience. Mix them, or take them in varying quantities, and you are guaranteeing your trip will end at the bottom of a six foot pit, wrapped in a pine box.
  2. PM me your mailing address. I have a bunch of these (all used, but in good condition). I'll pay it forward now, then maybe you'll be able to help me sometime down the line later.
  3. Which I don't get. He made a career as a gun toting spy. Shooting everything in his path. Gun's are ok, as long as it makes him money, otherwise they are bad for everyone else.
  4. Wait, Sean Connery!? Who doesn't have a man-crush on him? :limp-wrist:
  5. You're right, those were bad <laughs> but I want to see more!!! That FAL hasn't been shared with us yet I remember that HK91 from here. I love shooting those rifles. They were really built to take some abuse. I like what you did with that M1A too, she's a beauty! Those sticks are timeless weapons. They're kinda like Sean Connery, 50 years later only their clothes have changed and they're both still badass!
  6. Tom won't jump, it's not .338 Lapua!
  7. I would hate to buy a $500 gun, drop another $500 in parts and accessories, then have someone perform an irreversible "stippling" job that she may not like. If she doesn't like the grip, I'll buy one of those Pachmeyr condoms and call it a day. On the bright side, she shoots a G17 on a regular basis and is quite comfortable with that grip.
  8. I like that it uses the easier to get (and generally inexpensive) magazine. Here's my interpretation of the "AR-47"...
  9. So the wife (also LEO) wants a new pistola. Right now she carries a Sig P239 .40, and she would like to go to something with a bit more capacity. I recommended she use her G17, and she said "No I want something new, and in .40" My dilemma is, I know nothing about Glocks. Austrians are shady and so are their Tupperware guns. I'm leaning towards a G23 (because she's an itty-bitty thing)?? What are the Pro's and Con's for the Gen4's vs the other models? She's not allowed to "modify" her weapon after she has qual'd with it. So I'd like to trick it out a bit prior to any service. She's an exquisite shooter, with lots of time behind a trigger. I'd like to make the pistol a bit more "tactical" and "tacti-cool" at the same time. Any recommendations? There are so many options available. So far I'm thinking; ext mag release, ext slide release, poly magwell, she wants ghost ring sights, maybe a ported bbl/slide? Maybe a tungsten or SS guide rod? I also plan to add a slide plate and ext mag plates with her badge # engraved in them. http://www.rockyourglock.com/ http://www.glockmeister.com/ http://glockstore.com/
  10. It's still all politics... Although it give a whole new meaning to the GREEN PARTY
  11. I'm extremely prejudice, and downright racist, when it comes to guns. You can trust your Kel-Tec and Hi-Point all you want. It may be your most trusted and reliable gun. I don't like it and I don't want it. Don't even bother bringing it to the range with me either. I'll tease you, talk shit, and purposely make myself look like an ignorant asshole. I rarely step out of the American made market. My arrogance goes so far to say, if other countries made better weapons than us, they'd be the world leaders.
  12. This seems to be a common belief... Have you been infecting other sites with your paranoia? Borat Obama wouldn't do that to his soldiers...
  13. He'll never see me coming.
  14. Wilson Combat barrel order is officially cancelled. It's too bad, I was looking forward to dealing with them and using their barrel. They were real nice and easy to talk to throughout the process. No sugarcoating or BS'ing. They called it as it was, and were upfront from the beginning. Stellar company and employees. On the bright side, I was FINALLY able to contact "LOKI Weapons Systems". I forgot who exactly it was I spoke with, which is a damned shame because the guy was AWESOME! He was able to located one last .300 Blackout barrel in his shop that measured the much desirable 14.5". This is a stainless match grade barrel with full length fluting. The price was a bit steep, but still affordable, and MUCH cheaper than a Noveske or AAC barrel. I gave the man my CC number right then and there, and he advised that he'd get the barrel in the mail ASAP. I love when business works out like this! PS. If you do decide to call LOKI, leave a message on his machine. I made five calls no answer, just a voicemail. I left a message on the 5th call, and he called me back soon after. Damn me for not leaving a message on the 1st call.
  15. Great! Are you taking orders?
  16. So you're saying there is going to be a HUGE surplus of used PMAG's hitting the market? <munch>
  17. Tripledeuce, you guys like those Kimber Solo's? My wife has been bugging me to get her one of those things (among many MANY other things). Like all Kimbers, I hear mixed reviews, and none of them well delivered.
  18. Jgun, You're taking the fun away from me planning an "Ocean's 11" heist to swoop SS's FA barrel! <lmao>
  19. I had no visions of grandeur when I ordered my CF bbl. I knew it wasn't going to be weightless. There is no denying though, a heavy or bull CF barrel is considerably lighter than a heavy or bull stainless barrel. All the bonuses of a target barrel, at a combat barrel weight.
  20. You can make your rifle lightweight, high quality or inexpensive... Choose two!
  21. Edge is right. That was the first and only 16.5" rifle length barrel offered as an "off the shelf" model. To have that option now, you're looking at a custom job. I only know of one other person that has one... Until I find a way to steal it from him. >:D
  22. The elusive FA Titan 16.5" rifle length barrel. <thumbsup>
  23. No, if you registered an AW before the ban, you don't need to modify it. In California you cannot transfer AW in state. It would have to be sold out of state or modified into a legal rifle. *slight correction; you can transfer AW to those exempt from the law (ie: certain LEO)
  24. The hurtin comes from the AXTS AX556 with a $430 price tag for a stripped lower. Then the AX762 stripped lower is expected to have a $600+ price tag. No thank you. They are beautiful ,but give me a Mega Arms MA-10 any day of the week.
