  1. I bought two Battlecomp stainless BABC's recently (I'm a Battlecomp whore!). I mounted one on my .308 and I decided that the second one won't look quite right on my second rifle. I would like to trade my stainless BABC for a black BABC. My Battlecomp stainless BABC is a never-mounted, never-fired, practically new in the package. I did open one end of the package, but the card and crush washer are still secured in their individual package. The comp is even still coated in the original packing grease/oil. If I can't trade, I'd be willing to sell this for $200 PM me for pictures.
  2. Not trying to justify the expense... But I think the +$7k upgrade was for the lower receiver only at that time. Now they make the Upper, Lower, Handguard, Charging Handle, Gas Block, Buffer Tube, Bolt Carrier and Muzzle Device from titanium. The barrel, trigger, bolt and the rest of the buffer assembly are all still standard parts.
  3. If your gas and cyclic rate is timed correctly, you shouldn't be hitting your deflector at all. My 5.56 middy piston AR ejects about 4' directly off my right hip. A perfect pile all day long. Deflectors are great if you're shooting full auto and/or ripping casings out at lightning speeds, but they're really only a benefit for the southpaws. I won't have the added protection of the deflector, but I'm not left handed either, so it's not really a necessary protection for me. The Mega Arms "SBU" (read: Slick Body Upper) is a LOT thicker than the standard AR-15 uppers. The ejection port is so thick, that the edge of the port may very well act as a deflector by itself. I'll attach a picture showing the difference of the wall thickness.
  4. For those that don't know... "NEMO Arms" is the new name for what was once "SI Defense". NEMO also is the company that recently released a primarily titanium AR-15 for $45k... SI Defense used to have an option to upgrade your receiver order to titanium for $7k.
  5. Here she is mounted on my Mega Arms slick body billet upper. I almost hate to cover her up, but I have a rifle length MOE handguard ready to mount as soon as I get home. PS. Yes, that is my handcuff key. It is actually a very efficient tool for lining up the delta ring with the barrel nut.
  6. Ps. This is a LOKI Weapons Systems, 14.5", 1:8 twist, barrel with double-flutes. Soon to have a Battlecomp BABC perminantly attached to the end for a 16+ overall length.
  7. Whoa baby!! LOKI came through big time! I came home to a nice little brown package on my door step. I was so excited I could hardly stand it. I photo documented the whole unveiling. Lots of packaging to get through... I have only a vague idea what the barrel is going to look like. First layer off. I'm very impressed. Next is SEVERAL wraps in foam... Oh baby! Come to daddy!! The finish is very slick and smooth. I'm impressed with the craftsmanship. The laser engraving is adjacent to the barrel extention. The fluting is perfectly symmetrical. It is surprisingly light weight. The threads were extremely clean and well done. I tested my BABC and it fits perfectly. If I can find where I put my gas block I might be able to get started on this!?!?
  8. I make way too good of a living to throw it all away for some candid cellphone shots shared publicly.... Now maybe if the LE/Mil page comes back... :)
  9. YES!!! I had a "bath salt" case yesterday... He was not of the flesh-eating variety. Although still entertaining.
  10. I'm not quite sure of your questions are rhetoric or not... A "nice upper receiver" starts at about $1,000. My barrel was $1,000 by itself. A pre built kit from a gun show could cost you significantly less As for compatability... Just stick to LR308 and SR25 compatible parts.
  11. Honest truth, I believe the FF tube won't make much difference under 300 yards. Now a match trigger, and a sturdier bipod will. Those grip-pods aren't the best option for bench shooting. Comfort makes a big difference in my shooting as well. If the A2 pistol grip and collapsible stock aren't cutting it for you, Magpul makes good stuff at very affordable prices.
  12. Lol, Plane is right. They aren't actually "Bath Salts". That is a generic name for a group of products. "Ivory Wave," "Purple Wave," Vanilla Sky," and "Bliss" -- all are among the many street names of a so-called designer drug known as “bath salts". The active ingredient in most of these products is actually called Mephedrone
  13. <dontknow> <munch>
  14. To help out the OP This auction is for one of Slash's heavy CAR10 buffers, seen HERE. It comes with a modified AR10 buffer spring also sold and recommended by Slash, found HERE. It is unknown if this is the 5.6 oz version, or the "XH" 6.5 oz version.
  15. Weap is right about his rifle. An ACE AFRX stock and a carbon fiber FF tube would cut the weight alone.
  16. Check out my ongoing .308 build on the "SI Defense" portion of our forum.
  17. Evil Bath Salts!

  20. http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/story/18710984/2012/06/05/phoenix-homeowner-fatally-shoots-intruder PHOENIX - A homeowner shot a burglar who broke into his house Tuesday, and the burglar was critically injured. It happened about 3:00 p.m. in the 3300 block of South 90th Lane. The homeowner was an off-duty Tolleson Police officer. He was taking a nap when he heard a sound in his house. The officer brought his gun downstairs with him and confronted the subject. The burglar made a motion to throw a rock at the homeowner, so he shot him in the head, according to police at the scene. "He was yelling some commands and challenging him when the burglar in this case turned toward him with the rock... at which time the homeowner fired one round, struck the subject in the head, and the subject went down," said Phoenix Police Sgt. Trent Crump. The Tolleson police officer administered aid and immediately called 911. The suspect is described as a young black male, possibly in his teens. He apparently got in by breaking a window. Neighbor Manuel Ohton says he'll be more careful now. "I've slept with my garage open. I've forgot to close it. Somebody could really have access to the house, going in through the garage, you know," he said. No names have been released. At last check, the suspect was in extremely critical condition.

  22. SeaGiant, You can't beat the availability of shopping at the gun shows either. It is gun show season, and there seems to be a show nearly every weekend in some part of every state.
