  1. Measure your parts and the inner tube depth and I’ll give you some recommendations. But I need to be sure
  2. Your buffer system is definitely part of the problem as the spring and buffer are not the proper size or weight. Take them out and measure them and weigh the buffer but unless something has changed that is part of your issue. It’s not short stroking. It’s moving too fast.
  3. Hahaha!
  4. So you know, DPMS never had a Gen 2. It had a G2. It was a smaller framed 308AR to cut weight. I believe the Remington version of their 308AR was built on the same receivers. Not compatible with anything else. PSA’s rifles are not compatible with many manufacturers parts. The PX 10 may not work with the G2 parts. We have never seen one in real life. PSA’s have exactly been ready to go out of the box and tend to need some help. if you get one of these, please, for the benefit of the forum, give very detailed info on all dimensions. It will help us solve the issues that are almost guaranteed to pop up.
  5. Racing, shooting and 17 years at the factory. Sucks but can’t fix it now, just stop it from getting worse
  6. Great intro Jim, welcome aboard
  7. Right on man! I get it’s not optimal but it’s not too big a deal. No real compromise on integrity of the weapon or part
  8. This comment was generated with the experience we’ve gained over years of building, modifying and researching these and all AR style weapons. Hydraulic buffers are race gun parts. Titanium bolt carrier groups are race gun parts. Nothing wrong with building a race gun, but be prepared to have to work on it for a bit to be consistent and reliable, probably with a very limited selection of ammo choices. Traditional recoil systems that are proven tend to be far more flexible at be able to use a far greater variety of ammo. That is the main reason we suggest them. Easier to add or take weight away from the buffer, adjust if needed or desired, etc. Some of us here have done more than make a living off these weapons, some have used them to preserve life and or take it. You entered our house. We ask you wipe your feet on the mat and be cordial during conversation here. We aren’t opposed to a different point of view. Realize this is a small community. We want new people to join and contribute. We have information that’s tried and true. If we are not providing the info you’re looking for or you’re question isn’t being answered, maybe it the way you’re asking? Either through lack of proper terminology or just arrangement of words.
  9. From camera land: Chronus BTR GEN 2 4.5-29x56 UHD scope From Larue: LT 111-34 mount, 2 Accuracy 1st scope levels (one for this scope^ and one for the MK12) From Primary arms: Several Strike Industries enhanced lower parts kits, a couple of their enhanced bolt catches, two Strike angled (curved) fore grips. Got a few more things to get in the coming weeks once I find what I’m looking for.
  10. I don’t have an m5 but I also have never had a threaded forward assist roll pin. Is it possible to use a conventional pin? Just throwing it out there
  11. So a KAK heavy .308 buffer or a heavy buffers.com CAR-10 buffer. Your spring is an ar 15 spring. Have to get a springco orange spring
  12. Lol
  13. I’ll make this easy. Hydraulic buffers aren’t designed for general use. They are meant to be set up and tailored to a certain load and that’s it. It will work fine for that purpose. A standard set up offers you flexibility for all ammo. As for you titanium question I think start with the Armalite system and you can go to lighter buffer using standard ar15 buffers. It’s a simple and efficient design that works
  14. 🤤
  15. Congrats and remember lots of lube.
  16. Your problem will be those receivers more than any other part you’ve mentioned. Daytona Tactical is all seconds and functional blem parts that they sell. Good luck
  17. I use RCBS and finished with the Lee factory crimp dies. I’ve been collecting stuff for a few years but actually started loading this year. So far I’ve loaded around 4000 rounds. It’s not as scary as it seems.
  18. Yup, hit 30 here today and we were training all day outside
  19. @unforgiven that’s a good price on that. My buddy has one and it’s a hell of a shooter
  20. Me too if they pay for it!
  21. CAR-10 buffer on the chart. And it’s 5.4, not 4.5. The other alternative is the Armalite AR10 recoil system. You can buy it from their site, the whole kit including the tube is needed.
  22. Land of the lost? I think I see a sleezack
  23. Ultimately I would carry my X5 Legion if given a choice. It’s perfect. The m17/18 is probably close too. Fantastic weapons. Wish I had a choice.
