  1. I was beginning to wonder about that one, or if you were just a t1000 and needed no sleep! Armalite lower parts kit will work fine, trigger too! I use them in all my ar15 lowers, they are the shit! Like 98z5v said, all you have to do then is get the last three parts and you are gtg <thumbsup>
  2. If you have buis on your rifle, start by aligning the center dot with those, it'll get you real close, at least with in a couple inches!
  3. Glad to see there was a great turn out Pappy!

Well, the kid got bored five minutes in, and quite frankly, I got tired of building him or he would've been huge! He's still about six feet, 400lbs
  5. There you go, nice. I kept my color simple… here's a pic, past the parts, FDE with black switches for my bitches! http://308ar.com/forum/black-rifles/first-ar-15-build/15/
  6. Welcome….. mmm bacon ;D
  7. I'm going to step in here and say that I personally feel red loctite might be a mistake. I personally would use blue.
  8. No, in my opinion you are approaching this the right way.
  9. Welcome to the site! Seeing as it's a complete rifle, headspace should be ok, but if you can get it checked it's never a bad idea. Your rifle should be just fine shooting 7.62 ammo, or .308.
  10. This site welcomes help to new members, from new and old members, that is why this is such a great community. If you aren't sure, it's ok to concede that, I still learn everyday, and what we may not know, shortly someone will come along that does! <thumbsup>
  11. Welcome and I agree with you, that seems to be a strange disclaimer. If it fits under the hand guard, I have no other worries.
  12. Please run by parts and ideas by us, it's what we are here for and like to do…. so no mistakes are made. While the M1A barrel could've gotten sent back, it would suck to have to pay all the shipping fees ect.. Remember when ordering, you want DPMS/SR25 platform capatibilty, and for places to look for parts, check our site sponsors, Rainier Arms, Fulton Armory, and try to stay away from GB and other auction sites.
  13. Is that Jaime Pressley?
  14. He's right, I think this is the one you meant, or should be looking at from Fulton, and by the way Clint at Fulton is a top notch guy http://www.fulton-armory.com/barrelfatitan185nmmedss1x10936gasblock.aspx
  15. I am in western Mass, and I will be more than happy to help you in anyway I can. This barrel here is a sweet one by a reputable maker, sold by an awesome guy…. Can't go wrong. Just remember you need a comp or a brake on the end of it pinned to comply

  18. Fun to watch…. but wouldn't the collateral damage scare the lefties?
  19. If you want my opinion the GAP10 is sexy and made by a very reputable co.
  20. I don't think so but I like Blue, want to build a mk12 mod 0 clone and that's part of it! and Thank you, I like it too!

    Hi

Hey Mike! Welcome to the .308 site!
  22. Blue is correct, it already comes with a receiver height full length rail on top. The part you are looking at just connects the whole shebang, hand guard to the receiver, like in my mk12 build here: http://308ar.com/forum/black-rifles/first-ar-15-build/15/ Half way down.
  23. <lmao> <laughs> breaking the barrier! <lmao>
  24. Welcome jim!
