  1. Very nice Blue! That's the upper I plan on getting the wife for her gun, but left handed. I wanted to build her one, but Stag said they will not be selling stripped uppers until they build up inventory, and since they are mostly backordered that won't be for a long time. Let us know how it shoots and what you send through it, very interested to see first hand results!
  2. the wife bought a ticket, first number right, then one number low for the rest….. so close.
  3. that was hilarious.
  4. I think I hear Drew's keyboard shorting from his drool !
  5. Feel free to pm me with questions anytime you see me on, I'm glad to help. You have a great build plan with quality parts, I don't forsee any issues but you never know. It looks like you bought great parts and will be good to go <thumbsup>
  6. Glad to have you back... now I want me some go-pro footage!
  7. If the wife wasn't 7 months along with the boys we'd schedule a corruption visit! Heather loves shooting , heck in Arizona we couldn't get Heather a Rob's wife Jen away from the shotgun, both preggo!
  8. Much the same, minus the last part. Work almost filed chapter 11 two months ago.... academy can't start soon enough, God I hope I make it!
  9. Gracias amigo! Going to be paired with a Stag 3gL upper.... she a backwards lefty, I believe you are too, no?
  10. Still, 3-5" at 100 .... ouch. Don't get me wrong, I want a and will have a HK91 or MSG-1. Big pimping!
  11. With the twins coming ar the end of February, I'm keeping it light. She's getting a Mega gtr-3s ambi billet ar15 lower, finished with a Armalite m15 Lpk, magpul Moe grip and carbine stock, alg trigger, bad-ass ambi safety anda spring and buffer from Clint over at heavybuffers.com.
  12. ALL OF THEM!!!! BWAAAHHAAAAHHHAAAA!
  13. keep her WET! run brass, watch for the bolt locking back on the last round, good ejection, feeding, as for the break in….. I think on modern rifles it's a little overrated. Yes i will do a one shot clean for three rounds, then a five round group, then a twenty, then it's go time… is it right? I don't know, but I know lots of people who don't break in at all and have fine shooting rifles… that debate will never end… do what you feel comfortable with.
  14. The best HK91 copies out there right now are the PTR91, and I think they are about 1300, the one I shot was about 2 moa at 100yds vs the 91 I shot which was 3/4 moa. I haven't heard much about the CETME rifles quality.
  15. Thanks for your service, be safe Federal ammunition is my no.1 ammo choice, gmm being my go to. Both my rifles prefer 168 gr. I think trial and error is definitely best, because even if someone here has the same rifle, chances are they won't shoot exactly the same.
  16. I believe you are talking about Urals, and they are available here already.
  17. Welcome to the forum, I think that you will find any mil surp ammo is a crap shoot for your rifle, to buy in small quantities at first to see if it will work. American ammo companies would be best, and you'll never have an issue with match grade ammo but some will shoot better than others. Experiment, then buy in bulk. The stuff that will kill you is buying South African or old Argentine stuff, it may work, may not, may be corrosive, may not... <dontknow>
  18. Actually I think your backwards, that'll shoot better with lighter rounds. I think the best is 1-10 twist, it will stabilize down to 147 and up to 180's.
  19. Hey Pappy, what's up bud? Good to see you! I built my mk12 mod 0 and used the Duracoat shake and spray kit, loved it! $30, easy to do, lots of camo patterns available…. http://www.lauerweaponry.com/
  20. I actually just received to Armalite lpk's in the mail for two ar15 builds going on. In my personal experience they have the best springs and some parts are a bit stouter than on some other kit I've seen. More specific to you, buy the Amalite lpk, with their NM match trigger, minus the trigger, or/and grip if you have one you prefer,or order an ALG defense trigger to go in there. Here is a link through the Battle Arms web site…. hint hint for my preference on safeties!… but they are made in the same place as geisselle triggers in a facility they started for his wife. Geisselle quality, low price! I will be buying one for my wifes ar15 build, yes I have shot one, and while they aren't quite the same, they are far better than any other aftermarket entry trigger I have used. You may have to call Armalite to find out about your lower, but I don't think the Pmag lowers are out there yet aside from complete lowers, and my advice is save the lpk for your mk12 as back up parts! http://shop.battlearmsdevelopment.com/main.sc
  21. Fulton barrels and parts are very good quality
  22. Nope, company blew up from the inside. I tried to get one in early 2012.
  23. <laughs> <lmao> Good one! Zing!
  24. That's a good price point. Does it include optics? Also, would still like to know end goals and usage... I.e. is it a precision rig, battle rifle.... distance your looking to shoot, ect. <munch>
