  1. "kiss my ass and choose!" Thank you uncle Ted! <thumbsup>
  2. Both are quality, just buy which you like the look of, they are quality manufacturers.
  3. brass is best, especially if you are going to reload. Steel is harder on your extractor but not deathly, and won't really affect function if the gun was broken in, ie couple hundred rounds. Buy American made ammo to break it in, it will eliminate any ammo abnormalities for now. Federal Gold Medal Match is the standard match is compared by.
  4. <lmao> on my way into work, I'll see you guys on the flip side!
  5. good score BigP, run it wet, wet, wet.
  6. I have recently shot one of the 229 scorpions while visiting a fellow member here. It was accurate and handled well, not issues, and we went through about 300rds after a bunch of rifle shooting.
  7. nice! <thumbsup>
  8. This is so true. My father gives me a hard time for carrying. Says there has never been a need for him to in his fifty something years blah blah blah….and that he's is fine with whatever wrench is handy or anything else he can find at the time. To this I rebut one thing.. back in the day you would get followed home if you were pulled over after having a few drinks, but what would happen now? Times have changed and never be stuck with a wrench in a gun fight. Not to mention that he had two boys as a father and the odds back then of us being abducted were fewer (if believed naively) than me having a daughter stuffed into a windowless van.
  9. Never say never, the principle at my daughters school, which is catholic, is a former marine. I thanked her the other day for her service and for a note she sent home about having the local pd look into upgrades in security, they have a buzz in system with cameras, better than nothing, and she said she was willing to do what ever was necessary to keep the kids safe and winked at my Glock hat.

  19. You are not alone! Many here share the disease! Here's my dad's car, last year's configuration, 9.20's @147mph in the 1/4…. that was with a bored out 454, to 555, he has now built a dart aluminum 588ci block that was just dyno'd at 1194 with no power adders, but is considering selling the car with the 555 to buy a 260" rail car for the 588…. I'll keep you in the loop :o 8)
  20. Fuckkin a right! What crock of shit! If it was me (we had our Christmas pageant today at my daughters school, better believe I had my carry, just like everyday, most likely the only one) I would be happy that our local law enforcement was taking part in the safety in our schools. Pappy, thank you.
  21. my congrads to you for raising such a fine young man and to Josh for putting in the extra effort and doing his family proud, well done sir <thumbsup>
  22. I have to disagree with you there, that's the same as saying Black Sabbath and Ozzy, heavy metal in general in the early years, Marilyn Manson ect… has the same affect. Or horror movies. I'd like to put that into the not enough quality parenting category. Maybe explain to kids a little more about how life works, and how everything has cause and effect, no matter how insignificant their actions are, it will affect people in different ways, and you can never know just how. Sensor everything for the general masses is only going to be successful in making people and the media witch hunting those who enjoy "taboo or evil" activities……… Namely us, because we all enjoy firearms for one reason or another… Rene, that has been building for a while, nothing personal ;)
  23. For factory rides check out Jamis too. I have two, my brother has had several also, frames are light enough and very sturdy, if you go complete. mine, 26" http://www.myjamis.com/SSP%20Applications/JamisBikes/MyJamis/consumer/bike.html?year=2013&model=Dakar%20AMT&cat_grp=mtb26_1 650b http://www.myjamis.com/SSP%20Applications/JamisBikes/MyJamis/consumer/bike.html?year=2013&model=Dakar%20XCT%20650%20Pro&cat_grp=m650b_1 all their 29ers:http://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/thebikes/mtb29/index.html I hear the bigger wheel sizes make it easier to ride, but there is no way with my black rifle habit I'm bike shopping right now, especially since I've been putting off new blades for my hockey skates.
  24. welcome from mass!
