  1. for commercial foods, we've always used Iams mixed with garden veggies (all dogs love carrots!) and an egg every couple days. I have two pits now, but my father has always had big dogs, currently has two saint bernards, but my favorite were the English Mastiffs. My girl growing up was Sam, and she was 194#'s, and she was smart and strong! make sure you don't work them to hard till they 2 years old, big dogs joints don't really develope as fast as smaller dogs
  2. He's correct, I have never received a rifle that was test fired cleaned afterwards. It's almost like a proof of firing. I think you'll forget all about it after your first range session
  3. Buis ( back up iron sights ) aren't ar15-ar10 specific. These flip up style sights are sighted in the same for each platform, so don't drive yourself crazy looking for ar10 specific sights. The only thing that may be different concerns the front sight and whether or not its mounted on the forearm or gas block. Gas block mounted sights are specific for their height, unless you have a high gas bloock that matches the forearm rail height. Hope this helps Btw, I prefer Troy hk style myself.
  4. Welcome, nice to have you here
  5. We watch the walking dead on amc, ncis, the wife loves crime dramas of all sorts, 3gun nation, and arrow. (The green arrow story from DC comics)
  6. I live in Massachusetts, love the patriots. My wife grew up in Denver, so she's a bronco fan, and we have season tickets. I love football!
  7. this thread is so sideways it's funny.
  8. I just 86'd a tank that started to leak, sucked, 80lbs. of live rock, shitcanned, was able to save the fish and give to a friend, miss my niger trigger the most! Back on track, I am proud to be a part of this forum, the members and the varying topics are enough to keep me from wandering to far….
  9. I believe the tubes threads that go into the receiver are the same size, the only difference it makes is for the stock style you choose. I always go milspec because the tube I like is the pws enhanced, for its qd sockets built in, drain hole, and it is just a nice solid piece compared to the others I've gone over. Plus it's billet. Here's a pic of it on my mk12 build http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/stock-forend-parts/buffer-tube-parts/buffer-tubes/ar-15-m16-enhanced-buffer-tube-prod41065.aspx
  10. F U C K I NG AWESOME!!!!!!!! <thumbsup>
  11. remember the super 3 gun has a faster reset, but for accuracy i prefer the ssa/-e for the predictable creep/break. the super 3 gun trigger is great for fast trigger stuff for sure, loved it when i used 98z5v and plan on it in an upcoming 14.5" ar15 build. to each his own, try both out if you can first!
  12. john, nothing is wrong with your bolt is there? then don't waste time replacing anything there. i would start with the buffer and spring first. unless you have been having light strikes or your firing pin is peened i see no reason to replace that either. if you have no function issues right now, get the heavier buffer, it will reduce recoil, lessen wear and tear, and the spring from armalite is just a better part. I've done this upgrade for all my rifles, love it.
  13. i have an ssa and an ssa-e, both superb 2 stage. if you go with the atc trigger they have a 308ar gold specific trigger
  14. just shot xm855 in my mk 12 mod 0 build, iron sights sighted at 50 yds, 1 1/4 group 5 shots. cycled fine, shot better than expected.
  15. if you are hunting with it, I WOULD get a match barrel. To stabilize heavier bullets, 1-10 or 1-11 would be best imho
  16. I'd look around, something about the 1-12 twist doesn't sit well with me on that fulton barrel
  17. we have 4" now, and what was supposed to end at 9 is still rip roaring. glad i switched over my snow tires today.
  18. that's a funny commercial, robert downey flying a plane, and a chubby boris said? launching a strike missile
  19. thinking of ordering two more lowers and some barrels :(
  20. just ordered a lower, re-contacted Dave Branson about Heather's lefty build, may start binge drinking! >:(
  21. I was already typing when you posted this, no, only RRa
  22. You'll do fine with a RRa rifle, as they are the only ones to use fal mags, but as planeflyer21 says, you'd be best to try to find one nib on gunbroker, otherwise the factory has quite the long wait.
  23. http://www.2vetsarms.com/the-arms-room/#!/~/product/category=2716629&id=16156059 Just pre-ordered one, going to eventually sbr it. For now, it'll sit till I have it in my hands, as I two other ar-15 builds planned.
  24. Romney is up 183 to 148 right now ;D
  25. what are you looking to find out? some key points, one in particular these guys are trying to make is the rra uses fal mags. armalite has some rifles that use their mags solely but are beginning to make pmag compatible rifles now as well. otherwise both brands are well respected, there is some more support for armalite out there but rra is newer to the .308ar market
