  1. Cutting wheel on what, man? Do you have pics of what you're talking about here? For the life of me, I can't imagine what pin you're talking about, or what's sticking in the bolt.
  2. Rene, I'ma freak on a leash, brother. It's hard to tell what I'll post... <thumbsup> <lmao>
  3. It'll sure work in the .308 BCGs, brother - same internal diameter. I've got one in my .308. I think we've got this figured out, man. <thumbsup>
  4. Got pics of the 200 rounds on the stock buffer? What's that buffer face look like, brother?
  5. There's alot of rounds through that one, and that buffer has taken a beatin'.
  6. Yes, man, you do have the High Rider. The DPMS rep was right - there is only one rail for that upper, and DPMS makes it.
  7. DAMN! It probably looks like the carrier is pushing the buffer back off that pin now, because the pin is bent so far forward. If the pin was directly perpendicular to the two, I'd bet the carrier wouldn't push the buffer off the pin anymore. You need a new pin, brother, and you need a CWS, whether you use the weights or not, or just the shell. I'm just sayin'.
  8. What's the face of your buffer look like, brother? Chewed up around the edges? Looks like the back of the bolt carrier isn't pushing the buffer off that retaining pin, when you close down the upper onto the lower. Check to make sure the carrier does that - pushes the buffer off the retaining pin when the receivers are closing/closed. If it's NOT pushing the buffer off the retaining pin, then you're gonna need a Tubb CWS, which adds 0.080" to the length of the carrier. Pics of the buffer face, next? ;D
  9. That's what I'm hoping, too, brother - Everything was functioning perfectly well before this happened, and nothing looks bad or out of place, as far as the actual t-case the overdrive unit go. I'll have the t-case out tomorrow, and cleaned up. Probably have the overdrive unit out and apart the next day, since that whole thing needs to come apart anyway. Swapping the internals of the overdrive into the new-ish housing should be interesting. I have the shop manual on the trans, so if I can't figure it out, at least I've got the book. I wish everything was here already - if I had the parts, this would be over already. This is worse than waiting on gun parts, damnit... <laughs>
  10. Firing pin retaining pin? If so, just take it out.
  11. I thought that at first, too, but that's all new aluminum there - it was "peened" like crazy when it let loose at 80mph. :o
  12. Pics please, spaniky. <thumbsup> KNS Precision makes a "turned lower parts kit" that has a very high quality buffer retaining pin in it.
  13. Shouldn't be anything in the bolt that would prevent inserting a firing pin...
  14. Hit this for the recommended load data - you seeing any pressure signs with your load now? What's the max load that they suggest for that projectile? http://www.ramshot.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/ramshot_handgun_rifle.pdf
  15. Put the firing pin in the back of the bolt, and use a drift to smack the firing pin. The bolt will come out of that carrier.
  16. It's a BCM bolt, shepp - just checked two others. <thumbsup>
  17. If it's a BCM, and if it was bought as a complete carrier assembly, it should also have "BCM" on the right forward side of the carrier, visible through the ejection port when the port door is open. If it's just the bolt assembly, the carrier wouldn't necessarily be marked.
  18. Upgrade the transfer case... It's the NP241, so it'll get the same internals and wider chain that's in the NP241HD. Beefier guts. I fixed the pics on the previous page... <thumbsup>
  19. I'll fix the pics when I get home - tried to upload them at work, which apparently didn't work so well... :o Hemi - thanks, man... <laughs>
  20. I'll fix it myself - trans output shaft is fine, t-case input shaft is fine. Broke the overdrive housing, on the back of the trans. T-case housing is fine. Already found the overdrive housing, used with new gaskets and seals, for $85. Done deal on that thing. Carnage: T-case, hanging by a ratchet strap: (pic 1 below) Blown right off the back of the trans: (pic 2 below) Wiped out overdrive housing: (pic 3 below) It is what it is... might as well rebuild the t-case while it's out. <dontknow>
  21. I second the CMC mags in a 1911. <thumbsup> I've got alot of them, and none have ever had an issue.
  22. Damn, that's good. <thumbsup>
  23. Busted up my truck pretty bad tonight (last night, now?). Went to Phoenix Supercross Saturday night - GREAT race! Stayed in Phoenix, drove home Sunday night (tonight). Get about 60 miles into a 180+ mile trip home, and it let loose - sounded just like when you blow out a driveshaft u-joint, except a hell of alot more vibration. No power, hit the gas and it gets worse, etc. Careen the 6,000lb beast off the right side of the road, just KNOWING I'm in for a tough u-joint change on the side of I-10. Grab headlamp, climb under truck... Oh, the horror. Driveshaft indeed point down at the ground, from the front. Transfer case also pointing down at the ground, and NOT attached to the end of the trans... :o Either the front of the t-case housing broke, or the trans output housing broke. Sure as hell, something is broken BAD... All the excitement went down sometime around 8pm. It's 1:30am now, I'm home, and the truck is home - and it's still very broken. I'll get some pics tomorrow. It came home on a car trailer, hooked to a Dodge 6.7 deisel. :(
  24. In the next few days, I'll pull out a few of each, and try to determine the exact one. <thumbsup>
