  1. That 147 should expand in a deer, man. What are the hunting regs concerning busting that fox in the ass? ;D <dontknow> <laughs>
  2. You're WAY alright, man - that one post just made my head hurt, trying to decipher it... <lmao> <thumbsup>
  3. I'm having a hard time getting this one into my head, brother - welcome to the board, by the way. <thumbsup> If the bolt is in the bolt carrier, then both the ejector roll pin and the extractor pin are inside the carrier - thus, unable to go one way or the other, and come out. Can you post some pics of your bolt face, with the ejector back in the bolt now? That would help, greatly.
  4. That's awesome info, Terry. <thumbsup> At a minimum it means the barrel extensions between the two are very, very close (twins?), and that the lugs on the bolt are machined to identical lengths. Opens some doors for RRA LAR-8 builders in the barrel department, without a doubt.
  5. I do, too - there's so much information locked up in Clint McKee's head... ;D That guy is a National Match-building M1 and M14 guru. <thumbsup>
  6. <lmao> <thumbsup>
  7. I'm positive at some point that his travels will bring him close to Southeastern Arizona - he can come to the range, or into the desert, with me anytime he wants. Anytime. <thumbsup>
  8. Hey, hope that wasn't for me, brother - All I intended to do was provide "the minimums" with what I posted. If you find something better, by all means, go for it. Just don't use something that's not on par with the materials listed above... <thumbsup> I saw the pics of the 308 bolt you already made - the thing is a work of art.
  9. Doesn't matter who makes them for them, really - BCM only sells 410 stainless barrels, and doesn't sell and stainless barrels that are 416. They have clearly stated in the past why they do this.
  10. Yes, most definitely recommend it. Many don't realize it, but it's made for Fulton, by DPMS - it's about the only thing DPMS can make and get out on time (the parts for FA). Also, many don't realize that it's a billet machined receiver, not forged (most 308 AR lowers are billet machined, not forged). Lot's of people stop reading before getting to that listed spec. It's a damn good lower. <thumbsup>
  11. I'll be grabbing one of those up as soon as they're back in stock. I liked that the first time I saw it.
  12. No kidding - what really surprised me was the jackass wanted to ask the citizen to return for the question, and the citizen gladly went right up there and stated, "Yes, I AM carrying right now," without any hesitation at all. <thumbsup> That butthurt weenie needed to walk out. Hope he never returns, too.

    Loose Barrel

ss, barrel nut loose on the upper, or do you think it might be the barrel extension OD, and the upper ID - fitment problems? THAT sucks, new rifle, old rifle, any rifle...

    Compromise

^^^ Exactly. There's no common sense to his "common sense approach..." None at all. And, we are being talked down to. "Insulted" is a better word.
  15. Love this thing!!! What a great shooter. Got some glass on it last night. Picked up some Burris Zee rings for it (steel, low profile) and raided the Nikon P-223 3 x 9-40 600-BDCscope from the Mk12 rifle. This scope will stay on the MVP, and I'll pick up a higher magnification scope for the Mk12. I wanted to do that anyway, for that rifle. I'm thinking the Nikon M-223 4 x 12-42 600-BDC scope is what it's getting. I'll try to find a vid of the "Tannerite-under-the-abandoned-tv" that I blasted.
  16. Damn, brother - you get your coffee this morning? <laughs> I'm with you on that stuff, too. <thumbsup>
  17. Armed, the 7mm-08 will be a damn cool build. Basically, you need to find someone that can make that AR barrel for you - all the other parts will be the standard DPMS-based LR-308 AR parts. Can't wait to see how it performs - should be great! <thumbsup>
  18. Any upper that is DPMS-based will work on that lower receiver you have. Good luck in the hunt for stuff - it's out there, but can be hard to find.

    I am in love...

Excellent! I've been saving this pic, right here, just for this occasion. <thumbsup>
  20. Brownell's has some excellent videos on their website.
  21. How many 308 ARs do you have, man? Just a question.
  22. The DPMS 308 bolt catch is a different piece than any AR-15 bolt catch. On that note, the Armalite AR-10 bolt catch has more beef to it than the comparable DPMS part. I removed my DPMS 308 bolt catch, and installed the AR-10 bolt catch - in my DPMS lower. Member survivalshop has posted pics on the differences between the two parts (search it out, it's here).
  23. Since you guys are talking about a 9mm, have you seen the Kimber Micro CDP .380?...
  24. That's bullpoopy - pick your vagina up off the floor, smear yourself down with some Gyne-Lotromin and Vagisil, eat a couple Extra-Strength Midol, wash them down with a warm glass of STFU, and post the fuckin pics, man. That get your attention? Did you laugh? If you laughed, you feel good enough to post pics. If you didn't laugh, you really might be sick. I'm just sayin'... <dontknow>
  25. They always find a way - Californians have been fucking up Arizona since early-2006.
