Cuomo Close To Announcing Sweeping New Gun Control Laws
98Z5V replied to imschur's topic in General Discussion
Here we go - the left leads the rest of the country... CA and NY are in competition with each other. MA, CT, NJ, and WA all watch what's going on. CA tries to catch up, and makes up MORE poop for it's "subjects." MA, CT, NJ try to keep up with the Joneses... WA feels left out, and makes up some non-sensical poop, just because. My prediction. <thumbsup> -
Very few companies even load it, to buy as cartridges. Mostly, you roll your own, from the projectiles directly from Barnes, or another loading-component company. Cabela's doesn't carry the 70 TSX projectiles, I know that for sure. <thumbsup> Silver State Armory loads it - that's one of the very few companies that I know of.

Man, he kicked that flounder's ASS!!! :2nd:

I'm going crazy waiting to see what the grips will look like - Greg actually picked out the wood, in a solid block. HE was the instigator that time, mumbling something about "payback, mofo, for all the money you've cost me," or something like that... <lmao> I saw the 1911 grips and started looking through the display case. When I saw the Box Elder "mostly-finished" set he had, those were kickass. Greg actually found the raw block of wood, behind the display cases. When I saw that, I knew I had to have it made into a set for the Desert Warrior. Something like this - this is the same type of wood. Something like it, but at the same time, not even close. It'll be badass, no doubt.

In most of 2010, you could call the shop and ask to speak to Clint. After a few minutes, he'd get on the phone with you, and give you info and answers on most anything you wanted to know, or wonder about. If he was extemely busy building uppers or rifles, he'd get on the phone, and tell you that. Right now, and in the foreseeable future, those days are gone...

What he is not associating, "over to the streets," is ammo. As a Special Operations Commander, he and his men don't carry the same ammo. For the longest time, the standard ammo issued was Mk262. Hell, that was all I had in A-Stan, and that was 2003. Now, and for awhile now, there's a newer ammo, and it's much more devastating - "Brown Tip." It's a 5.56 NATO loadup with a Barnes 70gr TSX projo, differentiated from the "other" types of 5.56 by the brown painted tip. It FUKCS it's target up. Why you guys think I've been recommending that bullet so much for hunting...

Mega Arms is taking a longer view

I support their decision 100%. It's easy understandable, too. I said that as a comment to someone else, in another thread - it was about Pmags. With everyone out of Pmags right now (stocking dealers and sellers, retailers, etc), you have to look at it from MapPul's perspective... Should they ramp up operations and build/mold millions and millions of Pmags, when this administration has proven that it will enact poop overnight? Who's stuck with the "illegal mags," then? MagPul would be, and they'd be out alot of money almost immediately. I get it. I don't like it, but I get it. I hope everyone else can put themselves in the shoes of the manufacturers, and understand the circumstances. -
Your original post was great, man. <thumbsup>

Received a callback today. From that single cowboy shooting event, he picked up 36 firearms for custom grips. He handfits them all. Mine will be done this week, and I pick it up next Tuesday. <thumbsup>

Nah, I should have used the 3-man version again - Rob falling down... ;D

Bank of America Freezes Gun Manufacturer's Account

Amen, brother. I retired in 2007, and haven't had to deal with them ever since. <thumbsup> -
Cerakote came in today. Next day off is Thursday, so I'll rip everything apart Wednesday night, prep it all, and paint it Thursday AM. Should have some pics up in here Thursday night sometime - it won't be assembled then, but the paint should be dry enough to touch/fondle... <thumbsup>

http://www.skdtac.com/Magpul-PMAG-Gen-M3-30-rnd-AR-M4-p/mag.502.htm TO OUR LOYAL SKD CUSTOMERS: These mags will not be made available at our normal price so they can be flipped to take advantage of the current buying frenzy. Nor will we be profiteering off of this current panic like some vendors in our community. In order to make these mags "A S S H O L E -PROOF", we will sell them at or near current market pricing, and donate the difference from our normal price to either the National Rifle Association or the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. If you take issue with this move on our part, please do not write, email, or call to complain- we will not respond. Just take a deep breath, do a little yoga, and channel your energy into doing something productive. List Price: $14.95 Our Price: $39.20 Hell yeah, SKD - fukc the fuckers, and use the money for good. <thumbsup> I still donate to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, after a decade of doing it in the Army.

Bank of America Freezes Gun Manufacturer's Account

I refused to deal with those shitheads more than a decade ago. Military/Government travel card situation. All TDY had to be charged to the card, and you were reimbursed all your travel expenses when the TDY was over, and the claim was filed.American Express had the contract for several years - they were decent. BofA took it over. They fucked so many people in uniform, it's not even funny. I never used my travel card from them, based on how I think they SUCK. I was told numerous times that if I didn't use the card, I wouldn't get reimbursed for travel expenses. I took on the people that said that to me, every single time. I always got reimbursed. I never used that damn card. It was a racket, and BofA fucked people over every chance they got. -

BofA fucked McMillan pretty good. I remember that one well... -
Brushawg, you just missed one here last week - went for MSRP, at $409. Sorry, man.
-
That's no kidding. It seems much, much worse this time, though... :-[

Man, you're not gonna get me for $5k, today. <lmao> <laughs>

This rifle is already chambered for 5.56 NATO. You can run .223 Rem or 5.56 through it, no problems. They thought about that when they made it. <thumbsup> There are guys that are either done with, or in the process of, rebarreling these rifles. 300BLK is one of the chamberings. :o
-
Rene, the .223 Wylde chamber runs 5.56 NATO ammo like a champ. <thumbsup> .223 Wylde chambering, in a way, is "match" chambering for the 5.56 round. Drew, that was damn funny... <lmao>
