  1. That one you linked looks like it would work fine. Other options: http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=97 http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=150
  2. It won't last forever, though...
  3. PM your mailing addy, and I'll send it out. <thumbsup>

Black Dog .22LR mag. moagm - check out the Ops Inc M4-S. You can mate that to a 7.5" barrel, and the whole thing is right at 10". No warranty issues with that one. You can also run the Ops Inc 14th, 15th, and 16th Models with the same mounting hardware as the M4-S.
  5. Nice find, but ditch that Plum Crazy lower, brother. Next time some aluminum lowers go on sale for $75-ish, grab one for a replacement. The plastic FCG parts have seen some failures, but not as many as people initially thought - and the lowers have definitely seen some failures.
  6. NZ Special Air Service - SAS. Recipient of the NZ Victoria's Cross, which is the equivalent of our Congressional Medal Of Honor. He's got a book out titled "The Reluctant Hero." Damn good book. <thumbsup>
  7. Link, brother - gotta take a look. Alot of those adaptors actually go over the end of the AR-15 receiver - if that's the case, it's not going to fit around the end of a .308 AR receiver.
  8. YES!!! <thumbsup> :happydrunks: If you need the PRI forearm wrench, let me know - I'll ship it out directly.
  9. Jgun, I'll wager that the B5 Systems SOPMOD stock goes on there - it's already in the system, and they're the current SOPMOD stock contract provider. <thumbsup>
  10. No. Don't do the Plum Crazy lower. Please trust me on that one... <thumbsup> Sometime tonight, I'll put together the price list on Project Pinky - that's a damn good 16" midlength rifle, and it didn't really cost that much. Shoots great, accurate, and you can easily get out to 600 with the cartridge. You probably wouldn't be making direct single-shot kills on medium game at that distance with it, but you could sure give someone a leak out to there. ;D
  11. Hoooooly FAAAAAAAAAKKKK~! Parts are damn hard to find for a 1998. :o Seat on mine is shot - like, WAY fukked up. Foam is gone, pitted, chunked... Cheaper to buy a factory seat than to try to piece a seat cover (not original) to some aftermarket foam, that might not fit right - EFF it. New, factory seat, complete. 1998 available - Good! ;D 1998 Radiator Shrouds - DISCONTINUED. Shat. Okay, we'll go 1999 on the style, and keep it factory. Seat, available, radiator shrouds... Left, available, right, OOS... <<< that means Honda had ONE, but not the other... searching my circles HARD for this poop! :o :-[ Settled on this - 1999 seat (cool fukkin seat <thumbsup>) and the 2000 radiator shrouds. Should come out looking great - we shall see, though. Pics when parts come in. <munch>
  12. If we ("we" = "Robo") can pull this off, then rest assured that you have a job yanking triggers. <thumbsup> ;D
  13. That is remarkably fortunate! I have no idea what I'd do with a lifetime supply of bullets, but my first reaction would probably be an internal short-circuit! :o <laughs> This, right here, is the key ingredient... Need an answer on that - if you're using this lifetime supply for every rifle, then the twist rate on every rifle would have to be provided, to "guess" the best weighted bullet for all. <thumbsup>
  14. You know, we have to test fire all of them... <thumbsup> :2nd:
  15. But, can you put out 375 325 of them a month?... I think the start was 125 a month, with the capability to do 375 325 a month. I'll be over to your house, to help... <thumbsup> <laughs>

If that's the ultimate goal, why not run a 7.5" barrel with pistol gas system, and run the can inside of a 9" or 10" rail?
  17. I know - they basically have two weeks to determine if they can make something to meet the requirement, and enter, stating they can. Typically, the process is a hell of alot longer than that, to respond, and sometimes years before the product has to be in for "evaluation." This has to be some short-suspense project, with quick fielding. <dontknow> Based on what the major requirements are, KAC does all that in-house.
  18. Same here - I thought that was the "important part" of the annealing process. <dontknow>

Why are you hung up on a 10.5" barrel? There is a huge velocity difference in 10.5 up to 11.5 - very big difference. In short guns, velocity means bullet fragmentation range. That's pretty important for defense.
  20. They sure didn't give "interested parties" very long to respond - deadline for response in entering a product is August 14th, 2012... :cookoo: I'm sure KAC, Larue and LMT will enter. (^^^ no pun intended, Drew... <laughs>)
  21. wash, the H2 was one bad MFer. That thing was nasty. So was that Yammie RD350, Shepp. I wish the days of the 2-smoker were still alive and well, but the EPA fucked that up for everyone. 2-stroke technology has come SO far since then, too - Direct Fuel Injection, computerized tuning, etc. They're better than ever now, but you can only get that stuff on a boat engine now...
  22. Yep, you got it. It's good for reloading, also. <thumbsup>
  23. Robo and I can wreck a thread in an instant... <thumbsup>
  24. It's a much better subject than talking about Drew's tripod... <lmao>
  25. shepp, that is one nice boomstick! <thumbsup> Congrats on the purchase - definitely worth "cancelling the wait..." <laughs>
