  1. In that case, just a picture of the JP part number. We can look it up and see what it's supposed to replicate.
  2. That's perfect - that means Lilja is drilling the AR15 gas port location. Good info.
  3. Yep, love it, brother. For the Spring Shoot, we'll have 2 tank traps, the Sex Swing, the PRS Barricade that Matt brought out for the Fall Shoot, we have several shooting mats for prone fire.... We could put together some hellish timed stages to shoot, play through, practice, and train on different shooting positions. Gonna be fun!
  4. Your gun didn't like the AR15 Midlength gas tube very much. It's clearly seen that the gas key on the BCG struck that tube. That's why the Height Over Bore thing that I bring up often, is actually important. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about - click it, it gets bigger:
  5. That's an AR15 Midlength gas tube - got a pic of where it ends in the cam pin cutout in the upper receiver?
  6. Nope, just a picture of the buffer next to a tape measure, in order to see the OAL. We can figure out the buffer body material, and determine how much it should weigh, based on that.
  7. The important weight is the buffer. Just get a pic of it, and it's length. Manufacturers commonly don't list correct weights.
  8. Nope, somebody tried to sell one to @JBMatt for $75. So, he bought the steel for $31, took it to Scuba Steve, told him how he wanted it, and Scuba welded it up. He told Matt that right after he finished what he wanted, he made one up for himself, too... Matt picked up a 8ft 4x4 and 10ft 4x4 - and we cut the stuff and put it together. Works pretty damn well, rock solid, with only wood screws holding it in place right now. I can literally climb up on top of it, and it doesn't wiggle. It'll get 1/2" lag bolts installed, through the brackets, one per leg.
  9. With the shiit you have going on, you need to read this thread very first, and comply with every single detail that it requests. This is the only way we go forward. There is no other way to help you, unless you do this. Read this, soak it in, understand it - then make your reply. Here it is:
  10. That's amazing - but you failed to mention what the gas system length was, entirely. State the gas system type (on a .308 AR it's either gonna be midlength gas or rifle gas), and the length of your gas tube, to make this post relevant for anyone to use in the future. Otherwise - worthless. Most pertinent detail ever, in determining gas port sizing - gas system length. Missing here.
  11. Clicked your link, and still got the same. This is what I see:
  12. I'm getting no access, brother. Link denies me. I wanna see this one.
  13. You're making me happy, man. I like the way this story is going. Very well done.
  14. Get the .300 Win Mag barrel for that sexy biotch, brother. Fast, too. You need that barrel.
  15. Ramp Monkeys and Bag Smashers...
  16. Yep, I concur...
  17. You, my man, and @Matt.Cross - just trouble makers for air travel hospitality professionals...
  18. BINGO! Brother!!! That's exactly what it is, and it has a purpose. Tank Trap. @JBMatt
  19. No suggestions, really. You have a good plan, and that plan will work for what you want the gun to do, and expect of it. Run with what you have, and run the gun for awhile. I'll say this - it's Saturday. Get that BCG underneath oil - MobileOne synthetic is the suggestion, so that's gonna run you $14-ish for a quart. Put that BCG underwater (under oil) - see if it'll fit into a tupperware container. Those things are cheap, and work. And you can put the lid on when you're done. Let it soak until Monday - but get that thing out of there and hang it over your oil container - let the excess drip out of it. You don't want to pull it out of the container of oil, then go straight into the gun, and start shooting. That shiit will go everywhere as soon as you pull the trigger the first time. Hang it, let the excess go by gravity for a 24-hr period, then it's ready to go into the gun and head to the range for it's first trip.
  20. Can anybody guess what this is?
  21. I learn this lesson daily.
  22. This will be a great one for @DNP to fire up in the truck. Let this one rip, brother.
  23. Mike Glover is firing back on another point.
  24. The information presented in there over the ATF and FBI "spat" that happened... now the ATF conducts all checks, because FBI told them to fuk off... That's HUGE.
  25. This is 11 months old, brother - published 11 months ago. And the timeline didn't quite work out according to BATFEs estimation. That's obviously because of the recent court decisions. They weren't ready to announce pistol brace shiit in Aug 2022, because of those decisions. They took the time to try to make those decisions "more sound" - which they're not sound at all.
