  1. OUCH!!!
  2. Well, not much of a choice anymore, looks like. It's been several years since I used the 175s, but they're not even listed anymore. I probably still have a box of them around here somewhere, to get the data from, but I'm pretty sure they were a .505 G1 BC. The new stuff blows that away. The ELD-Match is a .547 G1, but the ELD-X is a .552 G1. Now, there's just a 178 Match with a .530 G1, which is what probably replaced the 175 Match. When I used the 175s, They came out with the 178 Match, and I made the switch, because of the BC improvement from .505 to .530. Years of use. When they announced the 178 ELD-Match, I almost switch immedately, but I had several hundred 178 Matches to burn through first. By that time, they introduced the 178 ELD-X, and I did switch immediately. The jump from the .530 to the .552 was a difference you could see at 850 yards - the dope charts were different. Click it, it gets bigger...
  3. That's actually not too bad. I opened this expecting something completely disgusting from you...
  4. Just for clarification, he's not using a 5.4oz buffer. I shoot with him twice a year, and know his gun, intimately, He's using this 10oz buffer in his gun.
  5. By "standard buffer", he's referring to a 5.40z buffer, that should be used in these things from the get-go.
  6. Nope, the really heavy one from heavybuffers.com. This one, first on this page, the 10oz one: https://heavybuffers.com/ar10rifle.html
  7. Definitely interested...
  8. FWIW, I just fixed a suppressed and unsuppressed gun through PMs. 16" rifle gas .308 Win barrel with a 0.750" gas block journal diameter. That ain't easy. But the gun runs perfectly now, according to the owner. People can listen - or not listen. Goes both ways, too.
  9. I'm not even getting into that one. The blueprint has already been posted. What needs to be done has already been posted. These guys can either do it, or not. I'm out.
  10. No possible way this 0.076" gas port will work. Will never happen, with a proper recoil system in place. It's gonna have to be 0.085" minimum, and probably 0.090" in the end. I think it's just gonna get the 0.090" treatment right away. As it is, it's just not right. Thanks again, WC.
  11. That sounds good, Ed. I used Hornady 175gr HPBTs for a very, very long time. About 3 years ago, I switched to the Hornady 178gr ELD-X projectiles. The BC is so much better on them, over the 175s - better enough, to make me switch.
  12. @shepp, this place is in Janesville. If this the place that kept getting broken into, and guns stolen?
  13. Who are you, and what are you linking? Why is this at the bottom of the page you're linking?:
  14. I've never tried the flat wires. Have no input on them. My rationale is simple - Don't complicate shiit with complicated shiit. Don't need anything fancy, bougie, or anything else - just use what works, every time. I only recommend and use what I've seen that works, and it works. That's my $0.02.
  15. Helping how? You're not even answering basic questions that were asked of you. You're evading and deflecting.
  16. As I am, as well. If you're fishing for an argument, you'll get it from me. If you want to fling insults - I'll play. If you want to calm your ass down, and chill out a little - that will help. If not, let's get it on. You can play Dickhead as much as you want, and it's not gonna end pretty here on the board. You decide where this goes.
  17. Now, @BrianK - get to this one... When does this shiit separate?
  18. I've been reloading for a very long time, Brian. I've never seen anything like this in a 300BLK with a .224 inserted projectile, ever. So, in light of that, and your definite lack of an explanation, or a picture of what you're doing - understand that.
  19. This? If that's the answer, and it's yes, then what barrel are you shooting this through? When does this shiit separate? In flight?
  20. If they're saying this now, then previous rulings/decisions are gonna bite them in the ass, pretty hard. They approved cane tips on the end of the pistol extension over a decade ago. This is gonna go miserably for them.
  21. I know you laughed when you read that...
  22. You're my happy ending, brother - just having you out here makes me laugh, smile, fucking CRY... You bring out all the emotions...
