SWEET!!! <thumbsup> I need to modify this for my .338 LM, right? <dontknow> ;D

I'd be glad to assist you with your quest... <thumbsup> Click this: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=bobro+engineering <laughs>

That doesn't exit here - shoot what you shoot, for whatever reasons you do so. No need to delete your post whatsoever, based on any shot count. I personally shoot 10-shot groups now so I can see the greatest varience in what I'm doing at the time, but I was raised on zeroing the AR on 3-shot groups for over 20 years. Do what works for you. <thumbsup>

The new heights on the upper are 0.060" lower than previous versions. For sight alignment alone, you can sink the front sight post that far and make up the difference. Problem solved, as far as that goes. Most front sights will adjust that far anyway, so it's not really a big deal as far as having the sighting "ability" to correct for this upper change. Bottom line - it only matter for rail height alignment - aestetics - more than anything else. It would screw you up if you've got a mount that bridges the gap between upper and rail, though. Bad.

That's wxactly what I use on mine, everytime I need to break it open. Valve lapping compound would work great. I'm looking for mine right now... <laughs>

I've been called a bad influence before. "Enabler," too. <lmao> I don't believe it for a second. <dontknow> I'm sorry if members of this site have led you down the road to financial ruin. I apologize for their recomendations and bad behavior, and I'll try to not let them instigate such heinous actions in the future. <laughs> I can't believe Drew said what he said up there ^^^... You didn't know about Bobro, did you? <munch>

100% correct. <thumbsup> Very easy to set back on Safe, too, with the top of the trigger finger. Just sweep the top of the firing hand back, and it's on Safe again.

Discovery Channel next Sunday night, "Killing Bin Laden." Should be good. <thumbsup> via press release: DISCOVERY CHANNEL ONE HOUR SPECIAL KILLING BIN LADEN (WT) PROVIDES SECOND-BY-SECOND ACCOUNT OF HISTORIC OPERATION http://blogs.discovery.com/discovery-insider/2011/05/one-hour-special-killing-bin-laden-premieres-sunday-may-15-at-10pm-etpt-.html

You might find that if you kick that Aimpoint further out, you'll be faster on target when you bring the gun up. Give it a shot where it's at, then try it with the mount all the way forward on the upper receiver and shoot it again. There's a big enough difference in those two distances that you should be able to see the results. It works for alot of people to have it further forward, but everyone is different - personal preference rules all. That's a damn nice boomstick. <thumbsup>

C'mon, man, you can't stop there! :o More pics, different angles - that is a SWEET build! <thumbsup>

I guess you're right - that was mean of me. You can see them a little better on the table here. Well, if you look closely. <laughs> This is some "improvised stabilization" of a front-heavy gun. 16" bull barrel, with a heavy suppressor. Now ^^^, that's my buddy's wife. She's only been shooting a couple times, but she catches on quick. Girl can shoot! She's got her own SIG Mosquito on the way, but she doesn't know it yet. ;D Her little sister on the Beretta PX4 Storm: Same little sister on the 14.5" gun. She didn't want to shoot this, but did anyway. It went downhill from there, mag after mag. :o Me, breaking in the new gun. This trigger is gonna cost me more money. I'll buy more of them. Closing pic. Two is one, and one is none... ;D

Even Olympic uppers are a tight fit on Oly lowers. I've got one that's a dedicated .22LR gun now. After seating the pivot pin in the front, I've always had to tap the takedown pin in and out. I used to live very close to them, so I went down and asked them about this. From what they say, it's intentional, and it's to keep the upper and lower tight together - no slop. It's never been easy field stripping that gun. What on the Oly upper was junk? Their barrels are usually very accurate, so I'm just wondering.

B.A.D. levers anyone?
98Z5V replied to Schwansonite's topic in DPMS LR-308 General, Technical Discussion
See, that's one of the newer ones - didn't know they clearanced the upper to fit the bad "paddle." Good stuff! <thumbsup> -
Sadly, something like this doesn't even surprise me... <dontknow>

Pics, brother - I'm a Tactical Tailor freak. Been with them locally (to them) since start-up, and I've pushed a bunch of Govt purchases through for their gear. At one point, I almost had Logan talked into buying the front bumper off my Dodge truck... ;D Sad that he's gone now, but I still support his vision, and his gear. <thumbsup> Let's see that armor carrier, man.
-
I'll send him a 5-pack of gas tube roll pins to go with that "spare upper" - those damn things are "rifle seeds" that don't need water to grow. :o At that point, it'll grow into a new complete .308 before our very eyes... <lmao>
-
And the AR-15 needs to be about dripping wet on break-in... Which says something about these... I'm just sayin'... <dontknow>
-
I'll say this for the PEPR scope mount - my 16" 5.56 gun won't fit in it's case with the scope on there, so I detach it everytime I pack up to go home. I remount it when I take it back out to the range, and it's still dead on. Next time I take it out again, I'll make a shoot for group size and see what I get - I'll report back in here with target pics. It's easily been on and off about a dozen times since I initially sighted it in. Next range trip I'll test it out for accuracy again and see what I come up with. Last time I had it out, it was still dead on versus the 300 meter steel silhouette. <thumbsup>

Christensen Arms - Should be added to 308 Brands
98Z5V replied to sellmarkguy's topic in Christensen Arms
Done, brother. <thumbsup> -
This topic has been moved to Christensen Arms. [iurl]http://308ar.com/forum/index.php?topic=1450.0[/iurl]

That's not new, brother - both DNP and survivalshop have had that barrel for a long time now. The price might be nice, but Fulton themselves sell it for that when you catch their sales. Gotta be quick on their sales, though! <thumbsup> I nailed my 18.5" version of that barrel on one of their sales for $279 shipped. ;D

Since Wilson Combat developed the 7.62x40WT, you'd think they would not do something like this... However, in a truly professional manner, they openly admit that if you want to run a suppressed round (in a choice between the two), you should go with the 300BLK as your option. That's class. <thumbsup> They have three different offerings for 300BLK barrels, directly from them. That's nothing but cool, right there. http://shopwilsoncombat.com/300-AAC-Blackout/products/397/

Was it the endless technical information that has drawn you in, or the marvelous congeniality and seemingly endless humor?... <lmao> Welcome to the fracas. <thumbsup>
