  1. Shoot it. Blast it, and have fun. First mag, only only 1 round, check to see if it locks back on 1 round. If it does, just shoot it. Lube the FUK out of it before you go out. Like, THIS wet...
  2. Watching 13 Hours right now. Good day to watch it, and not forget about what happened.
  3. What you've pointed out will never, ever be able to cause a functional issue in one of these rifles.
  4. Yep, and that clown in the boots thread, pimiping the Doc Martens.
  5. Buy once, cry once. Then it's done. And your gun works. Not a tough decision, really.
  6. This dude up here ^^^ looks like another bot. I'm just sayin'... Info: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=stevenaughtonnsx11
  7. Any front sight system that's in front of your magnified optic - you won't even be able to see at 3x or above. At that magnification, the scope is already focused way out beyond that front sight system. For those that don't wish to hear that information, it's been put to the test. If worked perfectly well for Travis Haley in Najaf, Iraq in '04.
  8. Let's get this moved out of the "What you need to know" section. Some build section, or something more appropriate.
  9. Tell us about yourself, @tmooney - you obviously measure parts. What do you do, who do you work for?
  10. Apparently, you are not. You blew this advice right off, in that new thread of yours. See below...
  11. 7 7/8" is too long, by 1/4". You need something that 7 5/8" internal depth, and I specifically just mentioned which ones were exactly that measurement, just a few days ago.
  12. The Sprinco Orange spring is specifically developed for short 7.000" internal AR15 carbine extension, on a .308AR, using 2.500" buffers. That's it's sole purpose. Armalite AR_10 Carbine extension, VLTOR A5 extensions, and the MAgPul SR-25/M110 extension are all 7 5/8" internal depth, and will work with 3.250" buffers. Use the Armalite EA-1095 recoil spring, or the Sprinco Red spring, if you change to one of those extensions. The good companies list those dimensions.
  13. X-Terminator is a fastass powder, generally used for varmint projectiles (light projectiles). For .308 Win, 150gr projos, you're at the upper limit of projo weight for that powder. It's no wonder it's not doing well. You should probably move to a slower powder for better results. Or use a projo in the 120gr area if you keep using that powder. A 168 Barnes solid copper projo is WAY too much bullet for that powder. Look for powders in the RL-15 or Varget or Accurate 2495 (and 2520) range, for powder speeds. Here's what X-Terminator is good at: X-TERMINATOR is a double-base spherical powder designed for the high volume 223 varmint hunters who demands a clean burning, accurate powder. Excellent flow characteristics and small grain size allow trouble-free loading in small diameter case necks. It performs extremely well with light to medium weight bullets in the 223 Remington. It is also an excellent choice for 17 Remington, 20 caliber cartridges, 222 Remington and the 45-70 Government. Made in Belgium.
  14. This is fantastic news. Did everyone catch that part at the 7 minute mark, where he's talking about the importance of West Virginia vs. EPA? Told you guys that was a very important case, and a major 2A victory. I stated that, directly.
  15. Good job, man - I love to see gas guns fixed and running right. Very well done.
  16. I'd contact them, and send that barrel back. Field gauges are for in-service weapons, that have been shot alot.
  17. I have experience with this - but the other way around. I put all Armalite guts into Aero Precision M5 receivers, and the gun runs 100% flawlessly. AR-10 Barrel, BCG, gas system, complete recoil system, in M5 receivers. It's a beast. Based on that, the direct opposite has to work. All DPMS-based parts (which the WC are) have to fit the AR-10 receivers. Must. Otherwise, my experiment never would have worked.
  18. NICE SCORE!!! Damn, that's a good lookin' pistola!!!
  19. Your gas port diameter is close, but all barrels are different. You should be good for a journal diameter of 0.875". Based on what you're saying your firing conditions are, drill it. Hit 0.093" and see what happens. Makes sure that the adj gas block is wide open, like you stated - verify that first. But, since you have adjustable gas, drill that fucker. 0.093" is first, check function. After that, if it's not solved, we go 0.096", and that will certainly fix it. You have zero penalty for going big right off the bat, to 96, based the the adj block. Punch it up.
  20. Okay, so I checked this out ^^^... Man, was I wrong. Well, kinda. The old 4-14 is 12.9" long. The newer 3-18 is 13.1" long -so it's a little longer than the older 4-14, but not by much. That new 4-16 is 14.25" long - considerably longer than both of the others. I'll try to get a side-by-side-by-side pic in here this weekend.
  21. That 0.078" gas port will be fine on that barrel profile. You won't have any issues.
  22. Trace the $20 I just agve you for something that I bought from you. trace it to me. Back to me. Tell me again, that cash isn't King. Show me that THAT was my dollar, directly to ME... Never happen, if I'm not a Drug Lord... In a "purchase world" - you're not connecting me to green dollar bills. Won't happen, can't happen. I give you dollars for something - and that transaction is gone, forever, besides a receipt with a name on it. Forever gone.
