  1. Were you working a dry gun, throughout that?
  2. Eh, the EOTech lived through two full bakes, brother. Steiner can handle a flash-bake quick-like... Just to set the paint, you know...
  3. He does, but I've heard it's only for blowjobs. Dunno, just what I heard...
  4. Steniers are supposed to be tough - you have a point. Maybe I can flash-bake it at 350* for 10 minutes...
  5. I don't bake the optics. I still use the heat-cure Cerakote - but you have to rack those things, and let them hang and cure, no bake. Takes up to a week to fully cure, but safe to handle after several hours. It still comes out as a coating that's hard as woodpecker lips. I did bake that EOTech 512 twice, though, at 170*. It's still alive, after baking twice. I'd never do that to a magnified optics, with all their o-rings and shiit that keep them alive. Spray, rack, hang, wait.
  6. Take your time - it only (really) takes about 48 hours to complete everything. Day 1 and Day 2 things, working with Bake-Cerakote, on things you cannot bake. Like Optics. We have plenty of time. You'll get some pics of it in FULL-ON Sexual Chocolate Mode, too...
  7. Let's see what PSA does - they're the ones that bought AAC...
  8. Here, here. The Brake-Out is my favorite.
  9. Exactly. If you don't tell me specifically that I CAN'T do it - then I'm going to. If you DIDN'T want me to do something, you would have stated it...
  10. Rangers can break an anvil in a sandpit. No other tools required. This guy read the instructions, and went after it. I love it. I think this year's Best Ranger is up on Fox Nation - I'll see if I can find it and link it in here. EDIT - Surely thought I got an email that this year was up, Pete Hegseth hosted it. Not the case yet. They have 2021 up there, but not '22 yet. I'll watch out for it.
  11. Found some info, but it's old. That doesn't mean it doesn't work - it just means that some of the data is out-dated, since it's from 2007. https://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?14389-32-20-subsonic-heavy-bullet-load https://www.levergunscommunity.org/viewtopic.php?t=62726
  12. I like this topic. I don't know where it's gonna go, but this isn't gonna be boring, that's for sure. Let's get into this thing, and see what happens.
  13. More 1-Man CQB, but this time with carbines, not pistolas. Good info.
  14. What @blue109 said. I've used alot of these. The recommendation to tone that bitch down a little is a worthwhile recommendation, too. Cut it back to what you need, only, for brightness, because if you're up too high on brightness, it blows out. No magnifier needed for these things. One of the smartest reticle in a Combat Optic ever developed. 65 MOA circle, and 1 MOA center dot. You zero these things with the center dot for a 50/200 zero, and you're good on holds for distance - for what a dot-scope is. The very bottom of that circle, with the 50/200 on the center of it - the bottom of that circle, down there with that little hash in it - you're zero'd for 7 yards on that spot. Every single time.
  15. Which one do you have? I found 3 models on their website. One has a 12" twist rate on the barrel, the other 2 have a 10" twist. That will make a big difference in ammo recommendations.
  16. Fine work, man - well done!
  17. As far as that gun not being finished, it's been out on numerous trips and shoots. It's my go-to gun to take up the hill, when we're shooting High Angle. I just carry that one, and I don't have anything to worry about. It gets it done.
  18. Welcome aboard. I have a detailed writeup somewhere around here on my Grendel Mod H. One of the best guns I've ever built, hands down.
  19. It's been soaking in the JB-80 since last Saturday. I plan on giving it a good smack tomorrow, and see what happens...
  20. Reading Comprehension is definitely the biggest one. Work on that one first. Then, worry about your other problems. RC is the biggest problem you face right now, so I'd focus on that first. Worry about the minor shiit later.
  21. 3 years ago, I answered the question you just asked - but you didn't look. Didn't research. The info is all here. HERE. Welcome aboard, go rip up an into post, and tell us all about yourself - here's the link to it: https://forum.308ar.com/forum/22-introductions/
  22. If you would have read into that original thread, and hit the link in there on how this gun performed, you would have hit THIS link on it. That would have answered all your questions.
  23. It's more than finished. It's one of the baddest guns I own.
  24. Twice as good. I can verify this, too, it really is. God Bless America, and I'm pretty fuckkin' happy that I met @JBMatt a bunch of years ago. He's THE MOTHERFUCKER right there that got us all into this gun lube thing. Not counting the fact that he's a pretty solid guy - that falls by they wayside often. He's legit. I Bro-Mance regularly over him, he's that cool. For realz. If he didn't have a girlfriend, I'd try to spoon with him. regularly. He shoots okay, too, when he's on it.
