  1. Keep me informed - we'll beat this thing into submission. It WILL comply.
  2. If my shiit works right, in my brain and experience, then you need a gas port diameter that's 0.085" MINIMUM, and possibly up to 0.090". Check your gas port, brother, and let me know what it is now.
  3. Then you both need glasses. Or contacts.
  4. I'll run some math on that and try to figure out a gas port diameter range for it.
  5. Turn it down - you have it too bright. It's flaring out.
  6. Are you gonna get this 16" midlength, and cut it down? You asking how far you can cut it down? 13.5" of barrel is about as far as you can go. You could make 12.5" work, with midlength gas, I have one, but you can't pin a 12.5 and make it legal. You can pin a 13.5 and get it legal. Shortening the barrel WILL DEFINITELY need a gas port diameter change.
  7. ^^^ That data doesn't include dealerships, at all. Just official corporate locations.
  8. They don't. Not even an office. 32 locations in 17 countries. Closest to Ukraine is an office just outside of Opole, Poland. 4 of the 32 locations are manufacturing sites, 3 US and 1 in Monterrey, Mexico.
  9. That's about what I was getting from my 18" BA gun, brother. If it's the gas port diameter, I measured my BA before it went together. Here's the info: 6mm ARC. Ballistic Advantage Mk12 SPR profile barrel, 18" rifle gas. Gas port diameter is 0.097". Is yours rifle gas? Looks like it from the pics. If it's midlength, my info above won't help...
  10. @MikedaddyH's thread got the dude FIRED!!!
  11. Hey brother, despite what that article speculates at, the pics on this main page of the article, right here: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/ukrainian-battle-buggies-are-out-to-kill-russian-tanks None of those vehicles listed are Polaris products. New, old, past, present. Polaris never made anything that looks like what's in those pics.
  12. Solid list, brother!!!
  13. I do have to admit, there was a "main Christmas Present" - and it's badass - but I need to let this story play out first...
  14. Oh, I have a story about Doc. Good one, too. He's not as nice as he may seem. To everyone else. Deep down inside, he's a heartless bastard. To the core. Get a Christmas package from him, and it's badass - and he tosses in some Kimber 1911 grip screws... And this note...
  15. This one. Always a classic...
  16. My sentiments, exactly, brother.
  17. I want everyone to be smart about these things, and what makes them run right. Everyone. Been preaching about proper "dwell time" for years - and now Brownell's has a video about it... I commend them, and they got it right...
  18. Just in time to go to BATFE Pistol Brace Jail...
  19. Cut the FSB, and we'll work on other things later. 16" midlength gas barrel, needs a specific gas port diameter. Recoil system needs to be straight, which it's probably not. Fix the first things, we'll run on operation later.
  20. This is the very MAIN factor in determining gas port size - how much barrel do you have, AFTER the gas port? Other important factors are gas length system, gas block journal size, caliber, and proper recoil system - in that order, exactly in that order. If you don't balance the recoil system and that gas system - you are fukked. They are both equally important, for a "functioning rifle." Glad to see Brownell's step up and make a video on this. They nailed it on this video.
  21. Here's exactly what I've been preaching about Dwell Time, since I've been preaching about it. Watch this vid in this link - they got it right. https://www.brownells.com/guntech/quick-tip-what-is-ar-15-quot-dwell-time-quot-/detail.htm?lid=18575&trk_msg=RSG9HT8HFRO4N128RGOQA4MUF8&trk_contact=8V0L65B89JG3CKL2PPP2IG35AC&trk_sid=8N5SS8UG059AHPDJSIU4CCV1LG&trk_link=08G7JD0MB0F4B630ONNHFAUUHK&utm_source=listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Watch+Video&utm_campaign=2022_04_21_QuickTips&utm_content=Content
  22. That's what she said... Somebody had to do it. Nice build, man.
  23. Do me a favor, if you will. AR15 bolt catches on top. Blow that little corner off them, like the .308AR catches on the bottom. That little right-angle corner gains you nothing, but it can hinder upward travel, and affect the range that the BC will move. Any .308AR catch that you ever find, that has that little corner - removed it with a 45* angle, just like the ones in your pic here. That WILL affect a .308AR.
