  1. I will leave that part blank, and not paint it. Because.
  2. Solar Flare bit him in the ass in December, when I whooped his ass proper, and he didn't admit to it then. It's always a fun game.
  3. That's pretty damn cool, Jim. Well done, brother.
  4. Oh yeah...
  5. Well, I continue to improve, anyway. If you remember, Matt got 3rd place last month, and he slipped to 15th this month...
  6. That means your buffer is too long. Give up the recoil system specs. What's the model number of the JP SCS you used? What's your receiver extension internal depth?
  7. Those two articles I linked above - they are interviews with Kevin Brittingham.
  8. Your bolt is still pissing me off - just so you know. I'm no quitter, though. I'll beat that fuqr. One way or another.
  9. We tend to "corrupt" people from time to time. It's really not our fault - just happens...
  10. We do what we can. Just remember, every night is a different show, we don't usually repeat the same night's show - and remember to tip your server...
  11. We try. We really do. We TRY to stay on topic. But, it's a HARD battle...
  12. Initial Load Data:
  13. If that's the real deal - we can make this ammo from .308 Win cases, and it'll fireform on the first shot... What say you? Think it'll work, brother?
  14. @Patrad, you'll find that we thread-jack shiit on the regular here. Sorry this happened to you. But not. It's for the "greater good" at this point. Most topics around here usually end up this way...
  15. Dion, @dpete - here's the newest update on 8.6BLK, from Kevin himself: https://www.arbuildjunkie.com/8-6-blackout-approaches-a-2022-update-with-qs-kevin-brittingham/
  16. That's an AR15 (Armalite M15) rifle gas tube, brother. Same part number on Armalite's website, check it: https://www.armalite.com/SACItem.aspx?Item=EU0170&ReturnURL=/Armalite/Product-Category/M-15EA-15-Parts-Accessories/Upper-Receiver-Parts&Category=e81c716e-9c82-41b1-a76e-fb6815c75b21
  17. Okay, here's 8.6 BLK compared to .308 Win. Here's .308 Win compared to 6.5 Creed - 6.5C on the left, .308 on the right: So, on this 8.6 BLK, they kicked that Creed neck WAY back to make this round. Can we run a .308 Win case through an 8.6 BLK sizer die, shorten the case, and give the .308 Win case that same taper as a 6.5C?... I dunno. I think we need to look at whether we can make 6.5C brass out of .308 Win cases. If we can - then we can make 8.6 BLK from .308 Win cases.
  18. We'd have to compare, side by side, the .308 Win case, the 6.5 Creed case, and this 8.6 BLK case. If we run .308 Win brass for this, we'll be pushing the shoulder back a bit, and expanding at the same time. 6.5 C has a good bit of case taper to it, over a straight-cased (almost) .260 or .308.
  19. I already have a .260 Rem blown out to .338... It's a .308 Win blown out to .338. It's called .338 Federal. I'm already running 225gr Hornady SSTs on that load, and it's a bad bastard. It's just not a shortened case, that would optimize those crazy 360gr sub projectiles. Most of these 8.6 BLK barrels are 8" to 12", with that 3" twist, for those heavy subs.
  20. Shorter Creed case lets you seat those heavies properly. I'll find the artical with Kevin Brittingham and post it. EDIT - Here it is, the first one. Goes through the nuts and bolts of it: https://www.arbuildjunkie.com/8-6-blackout-a-2021-update-with-qs-kevin-brittingham/
  21. ^^^ Yep, the RRA has always been a LAR-8. Its identical twin is the Bushmaster BAR-10. Identical in every way, and the BAR-10 was the design that RRA bought from Bushmaster, to get into the game.
  22. Just saw that today... 6.5 Creed necked up to .338. Has my interest, kinda. Only a barrel swap on a large-frame, and a die set.
  23. Out of business. Best bet is looking on Gun Broker or some place like that. It'll be a decent markup, based on it's company's demise.
  24. Details matter...
