  1. That's not even heavy enough to run subsonic, brother. What kind of powder-charge compromise did hey make there?... 195s aren't even subsonic. 220s or 225s, maybe... What the hell is in those things?
  2. ToolCraft BCG, with a Ballistic Advantage, Faxon, or Criterion barrel. Those two items are 2/3rds of what you need for an accurate AR. The other is the trigger. And... the loose nut behind the trigger. Always use headspace gauges when you're building one of these things. There is no "set standard" like AR15s. headspace your barrel and bolt. It's a must-do. The gauges are cheap, compared to the price of your face, if it blows up on you.
  3. Not in any amount of massive detail, man! You mentioned it, but didn't get nuts-and-bolts on me!...
  4. Pick the real goal for the first one, and maybe add a secondary role for it - and build it. Pick what you want it to do, and build from there. It's all a game of compromises - one won't do everything. There's a ton of different flavors, and all of them are perfect - at something.
  5. You're holding out, man. That's just not right.
  6. Wait for the comedy to start, once he sees the comment I made about him...
  7. Too many questions, too fast, and you confused me. I have zero arguments against a .308 SBR. They're just not for clearing a house, because of massive over-penetration, inside a house, where all your other loved-ones live with you. They can seriously fuk shiit up. I have a 12.5" .308 Win AR, a 13.5" .308 Win AR, a 16" .308 Win AR, an 18.5" .308 Win AR, a 20" heavy barrel .308 Win bolt gun, and a 24" .308 Win lighter-barreled bolt gun. That's not counting the .260 Rem 20" AR, or the 16" .338 Fed AR. There's another 18" .308 Win AR that's all ripped apart, until I can rebuild it again, into what it really needs to be. Different guns, different roles, different reasons.
  8. Told ya, @PoolShark84 - get an Intro up. Go shoot with this guy, if you're close. He almost knows what he's talking about, much of the time...
  9. You stumbled into the WAY WRONG PLACE for wallet-preservation. I'm just sayin'... Right about now is when "OH SHIIT!" kicks in...
  10. But, that 300BLK isn't dialing a scope and punching an 850-yard target... That was my point. Want a gun that can clear a house, not major over-penetration, and punch 850? It's a 12.5" Grendel gun. One of the reasons we ask for expectations. You came here for .308 info, and you got Grendel info. We don't suck - we can get it right sometimes.
  11. ^^^ As you can see from that response - we're definitely NOT caliber-snobs here. We're very goal-oriented. You need a gun to do a certain thing - and maybe it can do another thing, too. There's no gun, or caliber, that does everything. We love them all - and we, collectively, own them all. Yeah, for real. All of them...
  12. 12.5" 6.5 Grendel, then. That does both the things that you're asking of it. Small and maneuverable for the "house-ops" and will still go 850 yards with proper shooting. OVer-penetration isn't severe, in a house, and plasterboard and 2x4s... .308 Win is WAY TOO MUCH for clearing a house. Rule that out, if that's really an intended goal - it'll go through the first room, second room, third room, exit the house - and might stop in your neighbor's house. If you're lucky. There's a lawyer attached to every round you fire. .308 Win is not a Home Defense caliber. Maybe you need to build multiple "other" guns, instead. I'm just sayin'... I think what I highlighted in red above is what you're really after. Tell me I'm wrong.
  13. You're a Free State, North Carolina boy - let's get this on. You'd be surprised how many people from Cali, or New York, or New Jersey, or whatever gun-hating state - show up here, ask for advice, and never mention where they are from. They want to know about 40-round mags, drums, whatever - that they can't even own in the first place. Never state where they're from, in the first place - but they expect advice. Even Canadians... "I want to build "xxx" and need to know what parts I need?..." Where you from, bro? Canada, Eh!... WTF... This is a United Stated-based board, most of us don't know shiit about Canadian Gun Laws. So, Stupid question based on not enough information in the first place. As a side note, we have a few Canadians on this board that are very friendly, VERY knowledgeable, and REALLY KNOW Canadian Gun Laws. Eric is a sweetheart, also. I like him. ❤️ Hope you understand the quest for information about YOU... It only makes sense, when you lok at it from the other side - the information side.
  14. Now THAT is what I'm talking about!!! Very well done, and welcome aboard, here. Now, we can relate to the the person that's asking the questions that you are. Carry On.
  15. Looking forward to it. What's your primary and secondary purposes, for this gun? What to you want to do with it, and what do you want it to do for you? What's your goal for this gun?
  16. Possible. No mag, no optics. Tough, though. It's not a small gun. Go rip up the Intro Section, and tell us all about yourself. Including the state that you live in. That matters.
  17. Again, this all goes back to Waterboarding someone for information. It gets pretty aggravating, at times. Bought a gun that doesn't run? Built something that was "guaranteed" and it still doesn't work? Then send it back. You want help here? Figuring that thing out? Then spit out the necessary details so we can figure it out...
  18. I think we can get into this with some information - but it's gonna need to be ALOT OF INFORMATION. Before we invest any more time, I think we need to hit your previous posts here, and find out if you have a junk lower or not - it's definitely not an Aero Precision M5 lower. See your previous - intitial - posts here on this board: Where you got that lower from, what brand it was, who sold it, when did you buy it... Every single detail on that lower, is probably the FIRST thing you should do here.
  19. List absolutely every single part that you used in this build. You're piercing primers, and that's those small round circles that are jamming up your gun - so list the exact ammo that you're using also. This thread is a reference, for "online negotiation". You need info - we'll need details. Read this thread, absorb it, know it, and then spit out data. Get busy, shiit info, and we'll figure this out.

    98's 6mm ARC

Me, personally, when I saw their initial rifling twist - I wouldn't do it. 1:8" twist is borderline for stabilizing these heavies, in the 105/108/110 range. That's not gonna be a "winner" for them, unless they move it to a 1:7" twist. Just my opinion on this, from all the info out there right now. That's kind of like the .243 Win data that I've seen, as far as .243 Win loads, and I've been into that bolt gun for about 6 months now. We're gonna find out soon, though. All the BA barrels are 1:7" twist rate. If this thing performs like it's supposed to, I wouldn't be against building another one, with a Faxon 1:8" barrel, and trying it out. That would DEFINITELY wring out the twist-rate shiit. This thing is so new, that nobody knows that's going on, outside of Online Media Representation...

    98's 6mm ARC

Now, why do you throw that out there, man?... Now I need to look it up. That's "not playing fair" here...

    98's 6mm ARC

I have zero use for a 300-yard version, brother... You should know that... That's Iron-Sight Shiit, right there, and child's play...

    98's 6mm ARC

This was the original one that I was talking about... 1 mile. Around $500... I didn't even wait to find out the price on that fancy bastard I posted earlier - I don't want to know.

    98's 6mm ARC

Wow! This shiit has gone CRAZY! I just found this one...
  25. 98Z5V

    98's 6mm ARC

There's another one, specifically for shooting. I'll try to find it... It's a 1-mile range, which is bitchin'...
