I don't care one bit if they like that other family, and are "becoming family" with those people. Shoot that fucking dog. That motherfucker never gets the chance to eat another kid, ever. Plug it, now.

MasterLock #5s. Use those with it. Or, you can get crazy expensive with other locks, that are better. The #5s are the minimum for this box.

I can recommend this one - the RIDGID 2048-OS. I think @Rsquared used to run the same one in his truck bed, when he was manly enough to DRIVE out here every year. You know, WAY back when... It works. Well.

They're legit, for gun storage. I'll vouch for them. Yep, load ammo in the bottom, and it's heavy as hell. Nobody is running off with it, especially if you bolt the feet through the floor. Hell, even if you don't. @SmoothAction, you can't go wrong with these. Get that size you listed, too. I can vouch for them.

I just deal with it. It's only 3 months out of the year, and the rest is a Shooter's Heaven here. Summer is bullshiit, so you do what you gotta do, and just get it done. It was 108* tonight when I cut the grass... It sucked, but it is what it is, here.

So, here's more Baby Steps. Recoil system is solved for now, until I shuffle recoil system parts and make this one an "equal" to the other two guns it really has to fight with. Safety selctor is done, and it holds mags now. I ordered 5 new 17-rd E-Lander Grendel mags from Alexander Arms last night (AA-marked mags), and got shipping notification today - they're all gonna be painted to match the gun. I'll know right away "which Grendel mags" are directly for this gun. Paint waits for LaRue to ship my UU Kit... Once all that is in, Cerakote happens. Custom blend on the Cerakote, too. It's gonna be my "Sexual Chocolate" blend... So, grass is cut... Here's where we are - lower can hold mags now, and the safety is in. More on that in a minute. Barrel sitting here, and I tossed on a .308 cal A2 to make sure the threads and crown don't get messed up. That's a placeholder, and preserving threads/crown only. 6ARC Hornady ammo is SO SEXY!!!... @Slash - You do one FINE VLTOR A5 Buffer, man!!! More on this later, but DAMN is this buffer just a work of art... Now, to the safety. Battle Arms Development came up with a brand new way to make their safety, and I used it on Industry Range Day at SHOT - and it rocks. It's the new BADASS-PRO, but this one is different. It's the BADASS PRO, but it's the "LITE" version. You can set this up for 0~90 degrees, or flip it and run 0~60 degrees. This one is set up for 60 degrees. Damn, is this a nice safety - and I have a TON of their originals, going back to May 2010. This thing rocks. Last but not least for now - the Battle Arms Development Enhanced Mag Catch. I'll get a LaRue mag catch with the UU Kit, and if it's better than this, I'll put it in. If it's not, then this stays. I figured I'd not fuk about, since this is gonna be a LaRue gun - it better be as cool as I can make it.

Hey, man, being me has perks. When Clint throws a keg party at his SHOT Show Booth, and you drink him out of beer - as WELL AS telling cool stories... you tend to get some BA Perks. I will say this, though - it ain't easy being me... Once you're able to give them a solid review on a barrel, that you bought from insider information - and you got it before it wasn't even in the parts database... and confuse the FUK out of the lady on the phone... and wait 15 minutes for her to track someone down that even knows it exists... Then you better give them a SOLID review on it. Oh, and you get the thing for $150, and it arrives with their pinned gas block already on it... That was the 16" Grendel SPR barrel. Go check the reviews on that one. It's mine.

I fixed it today, brother. Grabbing pics as soon as I cut the grass - once the sun goes down. Yes, I have grass - and it sucks to have grass here. THAT is a full-time job just by itself...
-
Exactly. You nailed it, brother. This is what is yelled out loud, about us, once bank accounts are checked...
-
I'm still gonna get those motherfuckers... One way or another... You don't fuk with Drew's cats.

If I was a bad guy, it could be the Stockholm Syndrome. However, that won't fit this scenario, because I'm an absolute angel. I'm just sayin'...
-
That's because you just straight up ball-busted it ON ME, brother. Straight talked it right out of the gate, and called me out for a 6 ARC. THAT is why you were afforded no relief, no quarter... You fucker... Not because it was me, but because you straight up brought up a new product, and tried to suck me in with it... I initially felt bad at how quickly you were pounced on, and in a moment of weakness, decided to just build that damn thing WITH you, just to save you some pain... However, after my initial decisions on which way to go, and the purchase orders, I can honestly say... You deserved that.

Had some updates for this thread, and more Baby Steps - but I left the camera at work, after a crazy afternoon of Warranty Pics to submit. My bad. Update tomorrow.
-
Someone will come along and fuk it up WAY before then, brother. I'm just sayin'... The REAL answer to a universal vise block is the Geissele Reaction Rod. They make it in small-frame and large-frame. It's the answer. It's the reason vise-blocks died, just as M-LOK is the reason KeyMod died.

I've never been able track down the asshead that sent me an anonymous bag of 10 gas tube roll pins. But I used them. I've also never tracked down the other asshead that anonymously sent me 6 MagPul aluminum trigger guards. I think it's the same person, and his name starts with @imschur...

^^^ Ask me how I know.

Indeed, my brother... Indeed...

I love to see the Master Plan Of Instigation come full circle... You fuckers have been corrupted. I love it.

Answer was on Page 2...
-
Sure can, brother - Here it is:
-
@MikedaddyH, brother, I'd bet that you have more Glocks than I have ARs.
-
Opened that fella right up!!!
-
You have a very valid point, my good man...

Doc picked up the tab?...

That's a myth. Completely. Gas system and recoil system are completely independent of each other, but there MUST be a balance between the gas system and recoil system for the gun to function as it was designed. What went wrong was the lightass buffer, at 3.8oz. These things were designed from the ground up to run a buffer that weighed 5.4oz. My .260 Rem runs like a finely tuned F1 racecar. 20" rifle gas barrel, and I experimented with the 7.000" AR15 carbine extension and built my own heavy buffer. Sprinco Orange spring. It's a dream, and it's accurate as all hell - and it's rifle gas and carbine recoil. It works, because I built it adhering to the principles of what it takes to make one of these guns function properly. Did you even read that thread I linked in an earlier post?... It breaks everything down in excruciating detail...
