  1. I get it, brother.
  2. Here's where my 3 P80s ended up. 17 FDE, 19 Gray, 19 FDE. The 19 FDE is lower only, with it's light. I still need a slide assembly to finish that one.
  3. I have one standard .308 charging handle left, brother, so that doesn't help you. I must have converted all the standard AR15 handles with the PRI Combat Latch - I know I've done a bunch of those. Thought I had more, but they must have been changed. While I was looking for the charging handles, I found another Combat Latch, so I'm converting that .308 handle right now... This is where a 10-pack of Combat Latches gets you...
  4. ^^^ When that motherfucker won't start, order a headlight relay... I'm not kidding. Sounds stupid, I know, but just trust me. No start? Replace your headlight relay. They ran the starting circuit through that fucking relay...
  5. I have a 16" midlength .308 Win .308AR, built on Aero receivers, with that Faxon barrel that you linked. It's a badass shorter gun, for sure. It still goes out to the 850-yard target just fine on my handloads, dialing the scope only. I'll never get rid of it.
  6. That's what I was gonna recommend, I have that on my 12.5" Grendel, and it's perfect for that rifle. Light as hell, too, around 9oz. Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 Firedot G with the SPR Reticle. Leupold killed that scope line, so you'll be looking for old stock at places that still have it. This is it: https://www.leupold.com/reticles/reticle-firedot-g-spr-illuminated-128 Natchez Shooters Supply states that they've got it in stock, so you better jump on this fast. FAST. Lesson 65b in effect - You Snooze, You Lose. https://www.natchezss.com/leupold-mark-ar-mod-1-rifle-scope-1-5-4x20mm-illuminated-firedot-g-spr-reticle-black-matte.html On my .45AR and the 9mm AR, I have red dots. The .45AR will still whack IPSC steel plates at 200 yards, but it's a 16" barrel. The 9mm is an 8" barrel, and I've never taken it out that far. Seems like I should try...

I'm in, brother - I'm gonna do it. I need to learn this brisket thing someway, and everything I've tried in the past turns into a black crunchy brick. I'll gather up some of the rubs mentioned, and pull one off. Thanks for the details - that was exactly what I was looking for. Oh, and great work for the Church Crowd!!!
  8. Lemme see what I've got, brother. I'll report back.
  9. Shockwaves are fantastic. I liked mine so much, I bought another one. You DO need the OPSOL mini-shell adapter. Super easy to insert and use, and it runs those 1 3/4 shells like a champ. For an auto shotgun that won't break the bank, try a Mossberg 930. I started mine on a diet of 3" magnum loads. After about 3 boxes of those, it eats anything. My favorite trick to play on Range Friends... Load a 3" Magnum slug first, then fill it up with 2 3/4 #7 birdshot. They start shooting it a couple times... turn and smile... then RIP through the rest of it... That last one in the tube, when they get to it, is that 3" magnum slug... "YOU A$SHOLE!!!..."
  10. Job well done, man - very well done.
  11. SAH-WEEET, BROTHER!!!

Now - HUGE brisket question... How do I pull off a brisket, without a smoker? I don't have a smoker...
  13. That might be the most epic response to a "bait" that I've ever, ever seen here... With your response, you just radically shifted the direction of this thread, in the most "FUK YOU!" manner that I've ever witnessed...
  14. Brother, you might end up with more boys than Matt has... It's just Nature...

I need to learn how to cook brisket, brother. The only thing I can do with brisket, is fuk it up.
  16. When I moved out, it was still there... They didn't noticed it on the outgoing inspection. Thank God it was metal; I might have burned the fucking house down...
  17. All gas blocks use the rear mounting hole to drill the 0.125" hole for the port in the gas block. Even fixed front sight bases have a hole in the bottom there - that's exactly how they drill the 0.125" block port.
  18. Africanized Bees, those motherfuckers. Decided to set up in my neighbor's attic, and fuk with me at night, when I had the shop lights going in the garage. They don't like bright lights. Once they decided to set up camp under the eaves of my fucking front door, I'd had enough. Barbeque lighter and a can of carb cleaner straight kicked their ass, right now, too. I put that vid up on the old DBAB site. I'll try to find the raw video and post it. At that time, I'm sure it was imageshack or photobucket or something like that. Douggie the Eskimo was down for a visit, and he did the recording. Once I got stung, it was war.
  19. Here's our Official Board Policy on Redundancy here:
  20. If I run into gas port problems and a lack of gas (I'm pretty certain that's gonna happen), then you guys know that I'll dive headlong into this and fix it fast. I'm thinking of taking it out the first time just for a runability test, WITHOUT the handguard on there. With Drill. With bits. One long hot range session, and sort this bastard out right then. If I have the gas tube in this week, then it'll be out there this coming weekend - sights on it or not. Just function testing and sorting. If the gas tube doesn't come in this week - then it's getting painted this coming weekend. Desert Tiger Stripe.
  21. I have some pretty crazy shiit laying around, man - no kidding. I'm shocked at what I find sometimes...
  22. You popped the 13.5" build. Want me to save this one? I'll wait, but you better hurry...
  23. This piece right here that I quoted is kinda paramount - the proper information. We never did get that from you, and you were kinda spoon-fed here. That thread I linked above details the kind of information that is needed. The thread I linked prior to that is the "why" on all that. Why the recoil system and gas system needs to be balanced, to work right. For a 20" .308 Win AR barrel with a rifle gas system and a 0.750" gas block journal size, I can pretty much tell you right now the range you need to hit for your gas port diameter, in order to make this gun right properly. If you purchase that recoil system, you'll have the proper recoil system for full functionality with any ammo that isn't pure garbage.
