Damnit - I was looking forward to that scope, big time. Maybe it's just taht pre-orders are over, now you gotta wait until it's live - and available to everyone. They used to have a 4-14 ACSS R-GRID reticle that was very similar to the Horus H-59. They killed that scope because they were gonna make it on a 6-24 version. That was a year ago. I'm still waiting for that one, too...

It's nice...

Hey, I've got a short "precision rifle" too - a 12.5" Grendel that puts it exactly where you want it at 845 yards. It was 10.6 mils at that distance, with a Leupold Mk AR Mod 1 scope, 1.5-4x. 4x max zoom on those shots. It doesn't have any cant to the buttstock, and I still pulled it off?... So did someone else here, same gun, same day, same target at 845 yards... I have one gun with a canted-ability buttstock - and the others don't have it. They still make long shots. It's not necessary, but it you want to spend that money, then do it. That link you posted doesn't even include the B5, so add another chunk of money to what you linked. You can talk all you want - it looks like you're trying to drum up business for yourself. That's all. How you gonna fit that much optic on your 13.5" gun, again?...
-
Johnny, you're building a .308AR with a 13.5" barrel. You're putting on a NightForce 3.5-15x50 scope that is 14.7" long. You'll also run the PVS-22 which is 7.08" long... That's 21.78" of optics on a rifle that's got a 13.5" barrel... .308AR upper receiver length is about 8.5", lose some barrel length due to overlap of the barrel mating, but you're still at 22" of upper receiver, total, before that overlap. The optic will need to be about flush with the end of the upper receiver to get proper eye relief... How are you gonna pull this off?... And why?...

Nope. Welcome to .bot-world. They'll grab your number, and you'll start getting all the calls to lower your credit card finance rates, getting calls about your student loans that you don't have, and getting calls from people that speak ESL, telling you about your home loan that you don't have... *** ESL - English As A Second Language... FFL/SOT or not - brace yourself for the tidal wave. It'll happen...

You didn't look closely enough at the website - you can get a tampon for the buttplate, and cushion the recoil. They make a rubber buttpad. I know all about canting the buttstock endplate to fit your body. All about it. I'd recommend the Sierra Precision SPR-1 adjustable buttplate, but it's out of production: So, the cant in the buttplate is more hype than anything else. You run with it if you want to, and believe what you want to, body position, body composition, whatever. If it was that big of a deal, every modern military rifle would have that option, to adjust to the individual rifleman... On a 13.5" .308AR, it's not gonna help you, in the least. That much magnification, in a 13.5" .308AR also isn't gonna help you that much, either. Ask me how I know... You can talk about that all you want, the magnified optic, the buttplate cant, all that. I've been through it. That optic and that buttplate cant isn't gonna do anything for you for the accuracy of your 13.5" .308AR.

LaRue has your answer, for the mount. Also, this stock will do the deed, considerably cheaper than that stock you posted. It doesn't cant the buttplate, but that's over-rated. https://www.abarms.com/A-B-Arms-Urban-Sniper-Stock-USS-p/abauss.htm

He gets a cheap, one-way plane ticket back, Monday departure.

On that note - any of you guys received any LaRue Dillo Dust recently? Nope. It's gone now. This is LaRue Dillo Dust: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GL9VCB0?tag=viglink1659178-ar15-20 Here's the recipe for it:

Cerakote Patriot Brown is my favorite color. It rocks.

Yes, you certainly can.

Maaaaaaaan.... Can I relate to that... The Female side, only... "Bitter for no fucking reason" is a part of my life...
-
Fuk me, this is gonna get ugly...
-
Yes, please. I'll find a way to get it done.
-
That is a great looking setup - good work! Before you spend any money on that G2S, check out the LaRue MBT2S. You will never find a better comparable trigger for that price, and it specs out in pull weights identical to the G2S.

Exactly. Well done, my brother. Here's some "official-sounding place" stating my numbers - that I got from all the bullshiit news media, that started from a KID... https://nerc.org/news-and-updates/blog/nerc-blog/2018/02/20/500-million-each-day?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIodbU_qXu3AIVi79kCh3RFwDXEAAYASAAEgLKD_D_BwE Meet that KID... http://time.com/money/5343736/how-many-plastic-straws-used-every-day/

DAMN!!! That car was my NEMESIS in the mid 80's to late '91 - when I lived in California... Yes,for real, I lived in California... I had a 1979 Mazda RX-7 that I did some work on. I 3-rotored that thing. It was a Mustang Killer. I made money with that car. Later, I picked up a 1987 RX-7, and used it to it's limits, too. One of the only cars that ever smoked my a$s bad was an old 280Z, that was built. I've been after one ever since, and came close once, but it just didn't happen...

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!!? You have an old Z ?!!?

All those straws in Cali that are clogging up the ocean - what was it, 500 MILLION a day, or something?... All up the West Coast, there's laws either in place, or ongoing, to ban plastic straws... Because, we Americans are killing everything in the ocean with our 500 MILLION plastic straws a DAY that go into the ocean... Just take a look at this one: http://www.foxnews.com/science/2018/08/14/waves-garbage-crash-ashore-in-stunning-footage.html I'll pull a quote directly out of that article:

So far, in the MSM world of the big networks, Fox is the ONLY one covering this. They dropped this later today: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/08/14/woman-arrested-at-extremist-muslim-new-mexico-compound-moved-to-federal-custody-sheriff-says.html

DAMN!!!

Also, Albro - were you running those PMags? The Gen 3 LR/SR magazines? If you weren't, then it shouldn't matter what you ran. This Anderson shiit is Shady As Fuk.
-
They have a serious problem, then - these mags causing these severe issues in any other platforms?... Nope. MagPul designed them with ALOT of rifles of the same pattern, and they don't have problems, in those platforms. That's saying something right there - their initial design was shiit. They fucked something up along the way, and didn't even know it? Until a magazine manufacturer made a new magazine? Read the specs on that PMag that they're referencing... https://www.magpul.com/products/pmag-20-lrsr-gen-m3 In light of that, I'd take them up on their offer, and dump that receiver set that you have. Take their "new stuff" and drop that design that they have in your hands right now.
-
That's one way to look at it - I'd still like to hear it from them - and what they've done to "fix" everything to make it functional. If they have a list of what is wrong with those early ones, and they have a list of corrections they've applied to make it work - then it might be worth sending in, no?... If they just say, "You know, well, they didn't function very well - but we've fixed that!"... Yeah, okay. You can't say what you've done to resolve it - I'm not sending anything in, just to waste time and get the same thing back. It doesn't matter what anybody has seen here, and I don't think you're seeing that point. It matters what they discovered, and what they changed, as to whether I'd send it back if it was mine...

Got hammered by rain AGAIN last night. The first one hit me around 7:30pm last night. Got another one sometime around 12:45am, but I was out - heard the wind and the rain slamming on the windows. Got up this morning, and the neighbor's big tree in their front yard... is in the street...
