  1. Good luck trying to get a dealer to jeopardize their legal status by viotating the ITAR. Also, good luck trying to find an indivudual to risk BATFE up their a$s, for doing the same. Not trying to be a jerk - that's just reality.
  2. Eh, maybe, but problably not - you're on it with the ammo... You gotta be right with that, and... with... ...the limp-wristing that was going on... "Damn this is having malfunctions, and won't shoot!..." "Yeah? Lemme see it. ***Load it up with five in the tube and one in the chamber*** BLAM!BLAM!BLAM!BLAM!BLAM!BLAM!... "I don't see any issues here..."
  3. We were mostly shooting 7 1/2 bird, if you were loading out of my boxes of ammo. It's gets pretty fucking interesting when you load it up with Remington 12ga magnum slugs, or Winchester military buck... These crazy double-slug things are insane through it... You guys thought that 458 fucked up the glass - you should see what these things do to it!...
  4. They're also doing the 12ga in Cerakote Stainless now...
  5. Mossberg now does the Shockwave in .410... http://www.mossberg.com/product/590-shockwave-410-bore/

    Grilling

    Excellent work!
  7. Check the publish date on this video - open it on YT... 26 May 2017...
  8. ^^^ He ALWAYS travels with the grill!
  9. Way to go, gdonley!!! I love seeing updates like this, I really do. ***Side note - just imagine how much we could fix here if we were "real gunsmiths"!!!...***
  10. I'm in. You gotta see it in person - pics just don't do it justice, at all.
  11. Here's the thing in action:
  12. Be here Wednesday, brother. We go hot Thursday morning.
  13. Bevel and blend the feed ramp. The angle is too steep, like a wall. Govt (real issue service) 1911s were the same way, with anything that wasn't ball ammo. That would fix those SIGs, and their hollow-point problem. Look at that... and I'm not even a Super 1911 Gunsmith...
  14. 3/16" is the observed limit on these things, from what we've seen. Get close, but don't go over. You guys are good with what you have, unless you radically speed up that BCG - which you shouldn't.
  15. Not gonna make a difference. Drill that thing at .0.080", and it'll run. Well. You're splitting hairs, and worried about minute things, but you're not considering the amount of gas that the .308 Win round can produce. You know this already, math wise. You're 0.072~0.073" right now, on 16" barrel that you're gonna cut down by 1.5". If you're worried about it, and don't want to be over-gassed, then just split the difference. 72/73 thou on 16", 81 thou on 13.5", and you want 14.5". Run it up to 77 or 78 thou and be done with it. It's rocket science - but it's not. There's plenty of gas in this cartridge. I'd bet it'll run just fine, right now with it's 72/73 thou, cut back to 14.5"... For the dwell time discussion - you ever seen what a rifle-gas 16" .308AR looks like? There's not alot of dwell time, and you cut that gas port at 0.100". You're overthinking dwell time on the 308. Let's say you go too big, and jack it all up - add an adjustable gas block and cut it back down. Now, since we're just spewing out info for you, drag your ass into the Intro Section and tell us about yourself... It's right here... https://forum.308ar.com/forum/22-introductions/ My $0.02. Take it for what it's worth.
  16. Doesn't surprise me in the least, brother - I knew there was something wrong with that guy, for years. Just couldn't put my finger on it. Glad it's working out for you, though.
  17. Right on, Bigfoot!!!
  18. Gotta let it run it's course, and hit the time limit... which is fast approaching...
  19. Shoulda been written and pinned about Late 2009, brother. It was long overdue. I blame you for slacking so long...
  20. They have some hellish deals on that page. You done very well.
  21. Roger is AWESOME! He is well missed around here, that's for sure.
  22. I can't believe that PA red dot is still alive on it - that's one tough red dot!
  23. I say go for it - it's gotta be just as strong of an action as the Ruger #1 (highest loading pressures you can go on the 45/70). There are a few of us here that have 45/70s, but not that CVA. Here's my kid eating some of my handloads...
  24. Let him go, brother - he's welding and machining broken buffer retainers... Because he's a GUNSMITH! Note: I did rebuild the power steering pump on my Nissan, instead of just bolting in a reman...
