Really looks like it needs to go in another turn - and it looks like it's already got a little cutout for the retainer - and that's only because it's got that fancy little lip on the lower third of it. You'll need to cut that notch a little bigger to get it another turn - but you can try it at home, now. Remove the buffer retainer and it's spring, then screw that extension in another turn - your goal is to see if the side and upper sections protrude PAST the forward edge of the lower receiver (Can't stick out past the "ears" on the lower...). I swear, it's almost like they're manufacturing this shiit just to test us. It's about turning stupid...

Armalite AR-10 Carbine buffer is an H3-weighted buffer at 5.4 oz. Carbine buffer = 3.0 oz Carbine H buffer = 3.6 oz Carbine H2 buffer = 4.6 oz Carbine H3 buffer = 5.4 oz. Or, very, very close. I've seen some that are 0.10 oz in either direction, from those weights. What you have in yours is more like the H buffer.

Never thought about that. I always keep a few pounds of it for 30 Carbine.

Only powders I've used for BLK so far is 1680 and H110, under 150gr Hornady FMJ BTs. Both of those work very well.

I've been nothing but impressed with the Faxon 5R Match barrels so far. Two of them in Grendel, and they just flat work.

Here's the easy way to do your own beer batter, fellas, and it turns out pretty tasty: 2 Tablespoons granulated garlic 2 Tablespoons Paprika 2 Teaspons salt (I've been cooking alot lately with pink Himalayan salt) 2 Teaspoons ground black pepper 1 Cup of flour 2 Eggs 1 beer of choice I whip the eggs first, then pour the beer in. All 4 seasonings go in, mix it all up. Flour goes in last, blend it in well. Makes one hell of a beer batter, and it'll do quite a bit of fish. I think I did 40 oz of Cod today, and still had alot of batter left over. It's killer...

He shouldn't have had them in California, then. They were federally legal, for when he got them - had to have been in another state. He wouldn't have gotten approved, as a Cali resident,the BATFE knows better. So, the real question is, concerning the suppressors - why did he move them into Cali? Did he not know that they're not legal there?

That thing is a TRUE dissipator, right? That gas port should be about 0.110"...

You can modify a rifle buffer, EASY. It's 1/2" internal diameter, so you only need a piece of 1/2" OD PVC pipe, to remove a weight, and replace it with a piece of PVC of the same length. I'm telling you right now, that if that is the case - and you need to lighten that buffer to get it to function... You need to drill up your gas port. The gas port is too small. Been down this road too many times, and know it too well. Before you do anything to that gun, I'd pull that gas block and measure out the gas port diameter - and post that number in here. I'm just sayin'... don't exactly know what I'm doin' here, but I'd be drilling that gas port up if it was mine...
